What the heck happened to the Self Improvement Space?

What the heck happened to Self Improvement?

Yo, been some time.
This video shows the subjectivity of Self Improvement. What I try to achieve with it is telling you that it's ultimately up to us what we value in life.
Self Improvement Videos mostly show us delayed gratification activities that make our lives better, according to societal beliefs. This certainly can help, if you are completely lost in life. But in the end, it's all about working towards what you want.
I'm not trying to bash on all self improvement videos, but there are many that are extremely dry and only give generic advice.
If you watch a video about "How to do X better, in order to achieve Y" then sure go ahead, as long as X and Y are important to you, that video will probably help you.
But please, think for yourself. Find out what you think is valuable. That's completely up to you. You do this by experiencing life to the fullest, going on adventures, learning about different philosophies and belief systems, questioning ideas and concepts and reflecting a lot.
Hope you got something valuable from this. Not my best work, but I wanted to talk about this, even if it might not resonate with many people.

Thanks for watching! Quick side note: I am not hating on Self Improvement Videos in general, just the ones that give dry and generic advice. Like yeah, if you are absolutely lost in life, getting some structure from a morning routine will probably help you. But in the end it's up to you and what you think is worth working for. Setting, working towards, and achieving goals is, at least for me, the most fun thing in life. And I can only recommend you guys try this as well :) Affordable Coaching: www.tobi-education.com/program Community: group.tobi-education.com/

The only valuable thing that you can get from his videos is in the 1 hour long full guide playlists. Full of things that he had recently learnt with some sorts of his life experiences that may resonate you and help you to overcome in order to achieve more goals AS FAST AS POSSIBLE. Perhaps, his previous videos seemingly having no point anymore because it also seems repetitive, yet his full guides like podcast or over an hour videos may probably not gonna waste your time instead of watching his stimulating edited short videos. Learn from other's experiences if you want to achieve more in less time and be wise on investing your time on learning from self-improvement videos out there. :)

How long have you been watching self improvement? And when did you stopped watching? If self improvement did that to you, well you might be applying stuffs that actually not suits for you. Adjust a bit until you find the good spot for you. improving oneself requires a pure SPECIFIC skill that anyone should attain and train for. But i'm still searching for that specific skill because my knowledge is still lacking, but for now, it might be discipline, willpower, and self-reflection. I'm constantly searching for it and find out what specific skill suits for me in order to improve myself as a whole.

There is a thing I thought about, life is not about right or wrong, there is no wrong or right way to live life, you just live it and the way you live it until the end of it,is the right way to live it. The right way to live life is just your entire life from beginning till the end and that is also the meaning of life itself.

Got this video randomly since there is almost no self-improvement vids in my reccomendations, since I finally understand what I seek from self-improvement after 2 years. I want to be more easy-going with less negative emotions(since they always got in my way), have more compassion towards myself and others(recovering sociopath) and love. Genuine love with I girl I will not only die for, but for whom I will want to live. That's it. I don't want hundred Buggaties or super-yacht. Previous things will make me happier than ever and everything else will be just a bonus. Thank you for you videos.

@@Anasto_ No problem man. My current things from self improvement, that I could implement: studying, having sleep schedule, going to the gym, eating healthy, taking cold showers. 1)Cold showers: Dose of noradrenaline, adrenaline and dopamine wakes me up instantly and gives me a lot of pleasure, like I am taking a drug, but it is healthy. It also boosted my immunity so much that I don't remember when I was sick last time. Also doing hard thing first thing in a day makes everything after a bit easier. 2)Sleep schedule: Appeared randomly after a long time of sleeping randomly after midnight. Was hard to keep up at first, but I love sleeping and with schedule I can do it more effectively and can let myself lay in bed for some time at the morning. 3)Gym: Was bullied by my brother for many years because of my weight. Because of that I started going there. After several years I noticed that my body changed a lot. I am still lazy, but my body is worth it, because(bad sides help here) I see in real life that I am better than most and am more handsome. Also (sociopath kicks in) I know that with such body I can fight with much stronger opponents if I have to, though I try to avoid those situations since I am recovering and have a goal of being kinder man. 4)Healty eating: I feel much MUCH better after starting eating veggies and fruits. Even directly after eating, so that was easy to implement. It just makes everything else better. 5)Studying: I don't know. I simply force myself. Sometimes I feel like doing it, mostly not, here you just have to do a little day by day, doing at least something since, if you don't study, society(most likely, if you are not Andrew Tate) will destroy you. Basically, I use my bad sides to help me at my self-improvement and also use small dosages at first. I use my narcissistic and sociopathic sides in a way, that I need to work or I won't be able to keep up with my identity of being "main hero" or simply being better than 80-90% of people. Small dosages are needed to simply build habits. Need to go to the gym? Go there, do a little training or simply run and that's it. Build habit, then upgrade it. Don't burn all your motivation in one go and then forget about any further action. It works with everything. I hope you will become a better man. I also hope, that this helps. Have a good day.

The way I went about uncovering my ideals and systems of belief in life were by analyzing my suffering, simply one of the things this man mentioned in this video. In retrospect, some of my past influences were the actual reasons for why I wasn't getting anywhere in life, hence the gist for my prolonged suffering. Thus, watching this video is a great start, since a lot of our influences are self-help videos, in this case.

I think one of the best tips for self improvement is the recap. At the end of the day think of what u did well, and what would u change. That way u dont make the same mistakes while praising ur self. And this aligns with ppls belief systems. Like if somebody thinks getting overweight is their goal, they can praise themselves for eating alot.

Etc etc. Doing things outside KZread is better according to me also. The argumentation gets quickly out of hand, and the you just say something you value instead 😃 that’s how it works.

    1. SELF improvement improves nothing else. It's men's version of narcissistic selfies, but with mirror validation instead of internet point validation. It involves nobody else 2. As you said, self improvement is so vaguely defined. If someone wants to improve physique, he should specify physique improvement 3. It's a social media fad. I think watching self improvement videos gives viewers credit to themselves for improving without improving. Fitness is such a common example, but there can be a middle ground for physique improvement. What exercises should someone do? The best 1st step is to go to a gym and try things until the best things for the body are found out through trial and error. The 2nd best thing is to hear advice from fitness youtubers about what exercises he recommends or advise against. I've tried plate loaded incline leg presses a few times and they are back ruiners, just as some say. What works best for my body are (assisted) calisthenics and machines to help me get there (lateral pulldowns to train for pullups next). Having anything against my back feels uncomfortable, so I avoid things like bench pressing. I'd much rather do pushups as a similar exercise. Okay, maybe I elaborated my own personal experience too much 4. Every body is different, just like mine explained above, but social media has created such a metagame around everything that there's no more belief in everybody being different. Everything is overly optimized for someone else's correct theoretical best results. The best path towards improvement is to just jump in blindly and learn 1:1 what the real things are like 5. How does a man improve things beyond himself to end his own isolation beyond bicep baiting girls to approach him? I have no idea beyond prioritizing customers 1st at the job. However, sleighves don't get rewarded for their contributions and sacrifices because too many employees and especially managers are too narcissistic and psychopathic, which is basically just enhanced narcissism anyways 6. Stop using social media including stop looking at self improvement content unless you reach an impasse and you need new outside information to consider to get through something. Social media is narcissism media. It divides people into thinking only of themselves. Don't be another narcissist

I expected a good criticism, but was left with a philosophical masturbation. Thats why ppl dont look at philosophy seriously. If somebody clicks on a video about women, what do you guys think he wants? 🤔 People that are over 20 yo and dont yet know what they want out of life are just in a children's mindset. Materialism gets downplayed so bad nowadays, but you have no idea how fast someone's mental health can get fixed if he just gets to have freedom, money and a woman. Years of philosophy of ,, finding yourself " and coping with your reality is lesser than just fulfilling your basic needs of shelter, food, sex, relationships, goals. Channels like Hamza's arent made for normies who cant find themselves, maybe this is where you got mistaken. Such channels are made for people that have suffered their whole life of feeling lesser than others and not experiencing any love, this is what they try to fix. Its for people that suffer and know why they suffer. I tought it was obvious. Its like if there are starving people and the self-improvement offers them bread and then you well fed normies come by and ask ,, Well, how does Hamza know that I want bread, I dont want bread, I want a pizza, self improvement lied to us that we gave bread" 😂😂😂

So it can even help u in job interviews. if theres 2 people who just graduated college and have 0 experiences they take the one who seems more charismatic. and being either anorectic skinny or fat really wont help u. So yeah trying to be fit will only increase peoples opinion on u.

That is not how it works you will be miserable if you just only do that in my opinion Do what you have to do even if you don't like it then you can do what you want to do however perhaps this can be very difficult depending on the person so who really knows? It is you're life after all do what you want with it but at least try to be smart about it 👍
