To have built that workshop at your age... OMG what a wonderful accomplishment! Seems to me so many young people spend all their free time on cell phones or video games, (nothing to show for it later)....Tons of credit to your Dad too!

LOL! Thank you so much my friend. Truly means a lot :)
My man, I was hesitant to invest 45 minutes for a shop tour, but there are so many impressive elements here, I’ll likely watched over and over. I love how thoughtful you were about the shop’s function, but more so, I appreciate your sense of tradition based on you father and grandfather’s work. Thanks for sharing this!

I've been a woodworker,,,,cabinet maker for over 40 years. Everything that you have done and made to have a well equipped shop is amazing! PERIOD! Everything is neat and tucked into every available space. You should be proud of who you are and what you've accomplished. I have a beautiful 38'x44' building and I'm slowly getting back to woodworking again after a ten year break due to having crohns disease. I have a lot of space to fill up, but as you know things are very expensive and it just takes time to aquire everything you need to have a great shop!!!! Have a great day! Ray
This is the shop of dreams. Well done sir, congratulations!

This is amazing!! .y dad and I had a major falling out about 20 years ago, he was a cabinet maker and pro carpenter, I started to run the his shop, he trained me as a cabinet maker to which I hated and fought so much with him because I never wanted to be him.....now, he's gone...he left me the shop, everything in it was made by him and reminds me how proud he was of his craftsmanship....BTW i became and made money working as a cabinet maker, I miss him so much...well done for your shop, I'm so glad to see that you and your dad work together in this shop Thanks for sharing!!

I hear ya, I do. My dad wouldn't loan me a chisel for one little shaving when I was young and poor. He told me "Get your own tools!" 30 years later I finally could start getting some inexpensive tools. My training and skill were delayed 3 decades. :( He's gone now, I have tools and equipment now... and his tools which were left behind. That chisel is the one I use the most, and I try to do work that he would approve of. My own family will get encouragement and training from me. I hope they carry it forward with fond memories when I am gone.
What a beautiful shop never seen anything so nice in all my life you and your dad should be very proud of it and I hope to watch a lot of your videos so keep up the good work and I will keep a fortune thank you for the shop door God bless
First, I must say that I absolutely love your shop - and your video! Your shop is so well organized and lit - and laid out wonderfully. The mini-table saw fitted into your bandsaw runout table is really inspiring! Thank you!
mate your shop furniture is excellent i can imagine your custom furniture being exquisite
Wow!! That’s all I can say about your awesome dream shop. I was searching shop tours and came across your tour. Thank you for sharing your wonderfully done video and shop tour. I am blown away how organized and efficient the shop is designed. What a great inspiration. Thanks for sharing.
Love those old tool boxes! That is without a doubt the very best outfitted, and best organized Basement Wood Shop I have EVER seen! Very well done!
Wow, what an amazing craftsman you are! Your Grandfather and Father im sure are very proud of you. The way you have set up your shop and utilize every inch of space is just fantastic!
Very impressive. Love your grandpa's chests, and your chest of drawers. Overall, one of the smartest shops I've seen. Thanks for sharing.
WOW.
Wow. My dream
The level of detail in that shop is second to none. That is awesome. I am not sure whether I should tell you this but you can change out mitre saw blades 😉 having a mitre saw for each blade is sweet but I like being married. Amazing craftsmanship. I like the red oak. I have always been a fan of the red oak with clear coat. The 80s were not kind to red oak because there was too much orange stain applied but with just the clear it looks great 👍
Great wood shop , woodworkers dream.

Hi.... to say that the shop is impressive would be a severe understatement! The meticulous details are phenomenal. Your creativity and problem solving skills are superb! What stood out to me the most is the drop-tray storage under the cabinets. Those are brilliant! Nice work! Thanks for inviting us into your world for a bit... enjoyed it. The most impressive shop I’ve seen on here young grasshopper ! Your craftsman ship is unsurpassed. The shop looks so clean it’s amazing. I too have a limited amount of space and have done similar things in my shop. My background is tool and die. Always loved wood too. For years I had a cabinet shop as well as a small machine shop. Eventually I went all metal and eventually got into CNC machines. Retired now so I still have a combination shop in my 3 car garage. I LOVE that you use a vertical mill ! For the years I had the cabinet shop I would use mine to do precision joints. Here’s something you might enjoy making to amaze ppl. Take a piece of oak , one of walnut. 1 inch thick and around 4 X 4 inches ( just rough sawed ) In the mill cut dovetail slots through each piece and slide together. Now rotate the assembled pieces 90 degrees and draw a square on top. Saw and finish accurately. Now look and it will appear you have dovetails running in 2 directions. Amaze your friends with it as they will have no idea how it’s done. Oh you’ll get all sorts of ideas lol. But if anyone is smart enough to figure it out……hire him 😂. I’ve made several throughout the years. Even with brass and aluminum. The wood will swell together enough so you can’t pull apart. The metal will be able to so you can see just how it is indeed 2 separate pieces. Great video and super nice shop young man
Love your shop Built with a labor of love

Wow, your shop is beautiful and amazing... I love the finish quality and creativity... this has me rethinking a lot of what I have been planning... I currently have been shopless for awhile (partially my fault and I am a glutton for punishment so have not gotten a lot done to remedy the issue...) and have been jotting down lots of ideas and plans for it as I am waiting to set up shop again... this is just really inspiring even though I don't have your skill yet. And money is tight, but it shows the ways you have mixed the temporary with the finished stuff in awesome ways. The foam behind pegboard is really smart and I am upset I don't see it elsewhere. Obviously your pegboard is fancy, but it would still work with the cheap stuff and not cost as much as french cleating an entire shop... plus it helps with insulation as well. It looks like your basement is block, but mine is 124yr old field stone with white wash over it so not a flat plane nor something I can really cover... but it is still a good idea even for my garage to get some more insulating factor without losing too much space or costing a lot. Also love the quality of the electrics down there. Super smart- your dad rocks! Anyway, I have a million ideas and I need to jot a bunch of it down instead of writing the longest comment ever lol. Thanks so much for sharing with us. Can't wait to check out more of your videos! All the best, AL
rapi dan indah...keren..😘👍
You sir have the most well-thought-out shop I've ever toured on KZread. What an inspiration!!!!! My shop is also in the basement. I get picked on for it being so clean and organized but you have me beat by a mile. I can say my shop has yours beat in one area that you'll be jealous of, Our house has a walkout basement so I have a 9' insulated garage door going into the basement. Great for getting large items in and out. Also we had the house built with floor trusses not floor joist so no poles in the basement. Thanks again for taking the time to make and post the tour I'll definitely be checking out your other videos. Have a Jesus filled day everyone Greg in Michigan
I have to add, I have never been a fan of a basement woodshop, but this one is the exception to the exception. Beautiful shop, fantastically laid out and very clearly well thought out. Love it and congratulations to you and your father. The thought and care you have taken with your layout, lighting, materials, storage and storage units is above and beyond. Well done young man.

Your shop is a visual representation of what my mind wants in pretty much everything I do in life. Organization, utilization and function all wrapped up in a well thought out design. Unfortunately for me I am not talented enough to implement what is in my head HAHA. You have something special there! My dad was a maker. He passed away unexpectedly last April. I have the task of going through his shop and selling most of it. This video touches my heart because if he was alive I would have shared it with him. He would have been seriously impressed by your shop. Thank you for your tour.
That is one very impressive workshop that you and your Dad have built. You have made use of every inch of space and planned out where everything goes really. well. I am so jealous and wish my tiny basic 16feet by 8 feet space looked half as good as this. I'm just starting out and need to get it properly sorted out. The pictures of you work are mind-blowing. Keep up the great work and I hope you continue for years to come. Best wishes from the UK
