Try turning away from your calling. that is what you are asking us to do. Evey ounce of me was made for praising God with music. Rock and Role is who I am in Christ it is who he maid me it has set me Free. it inspires and gives me the hope. I have stood at the door of death several times battling illness. when I think about how Jesus saved me both physically and specularity I get exited and I want to rock. it is who I am in Chris. Rocks will cry out if we do not. Let everything that has breath!

Dear Brother, Thanks for having the courage to go against the tide and speak in the spirit of truth. I did as you recommended and prayed I would keep an open mind, before listening to this series. I had to swallow hard as I grew up with hard rock, am a guitarist, but, these things are nothing compared to going to heaven. I agree 100% with AlexKonrad100 comments. Thanks for the truth! See ya at the wedding supper, THEN we'll have a real reason to party!

I tell to everyone what you saw at the Christian thrash part. People simply had joy. I'm Christian thrash metal fan. My heart was upbeated in joy, hearing one of my favorite songs. The lyrics are totally godly. If a Christian will have to make choice: the markof the beast or headoff for Jesus then the right answer is the lyrics of this song: I want head chopped off You'll see body rot But then reign with Christ And then you will fry. God bless everyone dudes.

I think this was an excellent message about Christian rock music! God does say come out from the world and be ye separate! If Christians aren't gonna live like they have been re born, then why would the world want to repent from things?!!!! When our lives are transformed by the Gospel, we should be different. You don't have to make a Christian live like one, there is a higher power that convicts! (The Holy Spirit)

Jerry Lee Lewis was asked, “Are you still playing the devil’s music?” He replied, “Yes, I am. But you know it’s strange, the same music that they kicked me out of school for is the same kind of music they play in their churches today. The difference is, I know I am playing for the devil and they don’t.”

I agree with alot that was said. I believe that alot of bands or artists go into their career not thinking about the signs and letter fonts that they use. Alot of them may also have started without seeking the Lord and praying protection over the albums they produce. God uses alot of Christian music to reach the unsaved and minister to us. We can't write off all music because of some. Seek the Lord and ask Him what is good for you to listen to. The Holy Spirit is our guide.

Psalm 47:5 God is gone up with a shout, the LORD with the sound of a trumpet. 6 Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises. 7 For God is the King of all the earth: sing ye praises with understanding. 8 God reigneth over the heathen: God sitteth upon the throne of his holiness. 9 The princes of the people are gathered together, even the people of the God of Abraham: for the shields of the earth belong unto God: he is greatly exalted.

He's right. I was a Christian, then I saw the 777 on a triangle at a Stryper concert, went home, sacrificed my cat to satan, and started shooting heroin. No wait, I stayed a Christian, married a Christian woman, baptised both daughters, teach Sunday School and am an elder at my church (not bragging, Jesus saves, not works). Here's a Scripture for Mr. Godwin, Phillipians 1:18 But that doesn't matter. All that matters is that people are telling about Christ, whether they are sincere or not.

PSALM 33: 1 Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright. 2 Praise the LORD with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings. 3 Sing unto him a new song; play skilfully with a loud noise. 4 For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth. 5 He loveth righteousness and judgment: the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.

When a man of God delivers what God has to say and preaches on the word of God, people just don't like it! God has standards of living for a born again believer and how Christians should live. The world doesn't want to hear that tho! They get mad with the preacher and leave the church! God said it so that settles it! Don't get mad with the Preacher... get mad with God!! God is a loving God, but God also hates sin! He has instructions for the Christian how to live!! AMEN AND AMEN!!!!!!

Oh, at 2:13... the part about "Silence"... it is true that we do need to be still and know that He is God and seek His voice in those times. BUT, you cannot ignore then Psalm 33:3; "Sing unto Him a new song, play skillfully and with a loud noise." There ARE new songs being sung... LOUD songs with tons of skillful playing that come from rock 'n' roll hearts using their unique voices for worship.

This man is a shameless exposer of the works of Satan. He stated his point gave examples, proof (videos/quotes) plus the infallible word of God what more do you need? The itching ears seek what they want to hear and the hardened heart stops the penetration of the sword of truth. It hurts no doubt but this world and its ways hurt much more. I pray God blesses him his fam and wife and that he is protected and continues to be unashamed in speaking Gods word and exposing Satans works.

***** ignorance = weak minded. Information allows one to make better decisions. Now I dont agree with you. There's the surface of what's presented then whats underneath that surface and it goes deeper and deeper just like an arm, skin having several layers then muscle etc.. It reminds me of the saying when you joke 50% is true so in this case you could say its all inocent or so and so mean no harm or he/she have no agenda. But that defies the hours spent working thinking and making the product. But only those who have eyes to see so to speak who are knowledgeable in symbolism, the occult, angels of light and darkness, God, Satan have second thoughts or understand the intricacy and complexity of music as an art. Simply looking at the influence music and words separate have on the human mind and body says enough. Then combined anyone having a specific purpose portrays it through this influential art form.

  • @BarbaraMishkov

    @BarbaraMishkov

***** did u check out part 5? The occult isn't hiding anywhere anymore. Amy Grant clearly wore a red hooded robe, which is used in sexual ceremonies or sexual sacrifices and she had 6 pointed stars on her gloves, one of the strongest symbols used in witchcraft. Hand movements, weird noises, stances are all used to communicate. Some artists are shamans they summon demons right up.

  • @BarbaraMishkov

    @BarbaraMishkov

    10 жыл бұрын

***** You know well what he was referring to when he mentioned shamanism on stage. That's why he gave clips of what a shaman's moves may look like on stage. In the spiritual realm there is no middle ground or gray area. This world ruled by Satan, he is god here on earth, that's the ' god we trust' on the dollar bill and it is he the father of lies and confusion that breaths the gray area into this world. Why did Jesus say, " you are neither hot nor cold and I will spit you out" because cowards, and lukewarm believers will not enter heaven. It is also written "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places." (NASV) Ephesians 6:12. Those bands do not represent light and as Christians we are to represent what we believe what we truly believe the light of Jesus. I wouldn't ever want my child to listen to that before bed. Also its written " it is good you believe... the demons believe also and they tremble." Music is powerful and spiritual it drove demons away in King Saul when a young shepherd boy David played for him.... Famous artist Walt Disney enjoys repeating the phrase in his art work "nothing is what it seems" and especially in this nation the USA it is true....if u want more understanding on how this nation was not founded under the God of heaven and earth but under Satan a false god simply ask yourself would Jesus want anyone to enslave an entire race? Would Jesus give a name an illness 'nigritude' to those Black's who wanted freedom and say its an illness for black people to want freedom because they are black?....or to mercilessly kill Indians? It was God working through the peacemaker Martin Luther King and many others to bring freedom... and MLK wasn't afraid to call his gov't what it is 'the greatest pervayer of violence today'. This pastor who made these videos is not a hypocrite because it is also written "do not take part in any evil acts instead expose them for it is shameful to even speak of what the wicked do"

  • @BarbaraMishkov

***** merican Standard Bible Do not participate in the unfruitful deeds of darkness, but instead even expose them;(NASV) Ephesians 5:11. Look at the words again " do not participate" but "expose them" it says do and dont. So talking about the truth is a way of exposing and amen to that. Its sad when folks dont pay attention and I am guilty of this there's a commandment from God which Ppl trip up on. Its the shortened one ",do not lie" well that's not what God said He said do not bear false witness which is very different...lieing as we've seen in history can save a life, it saved Rahab and her family who was a brothel owner and is also in the flesh bloodline of Jesus. And I'm sure during ww2 many lied to save lives.

I agree with some of the things he spoke about. There is quite a bit of Christian rock or contemporary that nothing to do with Jesus. There are some artists like Keith Green and others have songs that sing to the Glory of God. Many Christian churches got away from the pipe organ and replaced them with a band playing modern contemporary hymns. I say go through your Christian albums and make a playlist of the Christian songs that are there for the glory of Jesus Christ.

Excellent documentary! It is telling that many worldly minded Christians have an isue with this, but let me assure all who do critisize the research and conclusions of this series, that unless you let go of the love of the world you will be judged with the world (1John 2:15-17). My observation from the past years: Those who say CCM and Christian Rock is fine are unable to give a definition ob Biblical separation from the world. If they don't understand this, they can't discern this matter also.

Well, I listened to all 7 videos, and it is a worthwhile addition to the debate. I still stand on the fact that you cannot pass a rightful judgment on all contemporary music without having God's omniscience. However, in the things that have been researched, it shows some wrong things that happened in Christian Rock in that period. After this series, Amy Grant did return to singing Gospel song and Michael W Smith has done some thoughtful worship songs.

I'm not pro rock and roll, but he made it sound as having silence instead is what we should do. Where does classical music come in? There are not other forms of good music we can listen to? Like classical instrumental music, instrumental blue grass, instrumental traditional celtic music, classical music with beautiful singing of poetry and sometimes scripture (Handel)? Is rock and roll the only kind of music that Godwin is aware of? He makes it sounds as if the only alternative to rock and roll is silence, and if not silence. What about hymns? Some of those can be set to classical music. Some of them were set to it. Not all music has to be made for worshiping God to be clean, safe music. Some past classical composers were outward atheists, and yet they wrote some of the most beautiful instrumental music. Are we to hate that because the men who wrote them were unsaved? He is vague in areas where he should explain himself more fully.

AGREED about Vengeance...it is too torturous sounding to be praise. I am a musician and I am self-schooled in music, but Christian music doesn't always have to be a funeral dirge to praise God. I believe that Petra is a fantastic depiction of Christian rock, though, but that is my opinion. Some "christians" say all music is worldly, which goes too far, and point out that Jubal, a son of Cain, was the father of music in men (hence the JUBILEE)...but God's angels have been singing praises always..

I never realized 777 was an evil number. this guy is pretty smart. I can't agree with him on everything but I can't disagree with everything either. But I can tell you he is right about some if not most of the artists. But do these artists really represent all of Christian music? I think I need more time to digest these thoughts.

I think Steve tailor said it best in His "I Want to Be A Clone" warning of the down falls of those who would say we must all conform to one style of music or worship God has made us as unique individuals. We are not all going to worship the same. the so called Godly music Is nothing more than the early roots of rock. and many of those old hymns started off as popular beer drinking tunes. So maybe we should stick with classical music but even some of that was thought to be evil at one time.

NO MORE HELL TO PAY! JESUS FINISHED THE WORK. It would be a bonus , to see some of the folks he mentioned, simply tell this guy that they love him, and give their side of the story. I'm sure that won't happen, they are 'about the Lord's Business' doing what they've been called to do. I've never seen a more mono-tone, unemotional, sad looking 'Christian', it would be cool to see him listen to something without looking for evil in it?

Christian music has changed from performers like Keith Green, Fireworks and have songs that really don't have anything about Jesus in them. It's not all good and not all bad. I would feel better giving my child a Degarmo & Key album rather then Led Zepplin. There are several Christian bands that give inspiring Christian messages. I do agree that a lot of what saidi is true,

1 corinthians 14. Music must be edifying, the lyrics, the harmony, the melody. It is a medium through which one can communicate. The question is, what message are you communicating through your music. Do not look at the words alone, but the message of the instrument, the style of dressing also, because the message of the devil can be subtle, look at the answer eve gave God in genesis. If it were possible the Word says, even the elect would have been deceived. please do not be deceived.

So I have watched all of his videos and have been thoroughly entertained throughout the entire series. I never knew that the colors yellow, black, and red belonged to Satan. I also never knew that hand movements and signals would get you eternally damned. Oh and who can forget the geometric shapes and the numbers! He did not present one logical argument why Christian music is evil. Thank you sir for the great laugh!

The "gospel" song he plays at the end has a country sound to it, why is this not seen as music that's about lasciviousness and drunkenness? Is it because it's white music?

@Savastyanov It has nothing to do with limiting God. You've picked up one of the Charismatic's fault sayings. Have you never read it say we should not assimilate with this world? Find the meaning of that word. None of the Apostles were trying to follow the world in order to bring people into the church. So, should we. Have you ever read it says, "That by the weakness of message they might be saved", not the music, but message.

remember this one thing. In music we exalt either God or satan. Which side are you going to stand. satan has the control over this world you knew that right? You know what if you read the bible you will find out that lucifer is a former worship leader in heaven. He cross the line He want to be worship he wanted to be just like the Most High. He wanted to be just like our God but he is not. He is not worthy to be praise not worthy to give him praise trough music. But that's what he want he deceived us. but We will not make that happen. music is for the Lord. Yes indeed I like music but I love the Lord. So shout only for the Lord give him praise and worship trough music God gave us a gift that will let us know the true spirit. Do not be deceived. When we accept Jesus Christ our eyes opened and he brake all chains. Do not let satan fooled us again cause we are free. We do not see their heart in deed. the question popping in my head is these are they heart pure about they being a Christian or are they just a deceiving spirit?

It's not the scales man, it's the rhythm/beat focused music where the rock rhythm comes from voodoo the beats that make women dance sexual without any lyrics at al rock beats are fleshly, music is not really meant for "entertainment" that is another thing satan has twisted just like satan twisted sexual desire between husband and wife into entertainment fornication, porn strip clubs. "Christian" "rock and roll" is no different than "Christian porn" " Christian" fornication" "Christian" stripclubs "Christian" adultery. It's only in the last 40 to 50 years that people startwed claiming music was amoral and the people that say that are CCM people, the tv. movie and advertising industry know fully well the power of music to get into the subconscious godly instrumental music would be like Bach or godly worship music would be like Bryn Riplinger www.oldchristianmusic.com/mproductpages/bryn-riplinger--god-hath-done-all-things-well.html Rock music is like the 21 year old physically attractive college girl that the 40+ year old married man lusts after instead of paying attention to his wife whom he has been married to since she was a 21 year old physically attractive college girl. godly music is like that dedicated wife not as physically attractive like the young 21 year old yet spiritually is where the husband's heart should be. satan has made music into an idolatrous form of entertainment just as he did with sex and "Christians" fell for it.

Your case falls apart if the rhythms don't lead people to sin. We are surrounded by temptation. I think this crusade would be better expended towards television and the deviance known as pop culture that actively celebrates blasphemy and glorifies sinfulness. I've not seen a single reference in the bible warning about sinful rhythms in music. Have you seen it or is your argument simply another man's opinion? A relationship with Christ is far more powerful than a syncopated back beat...

JR Morris It does lead to sin every time, idolatry people are in church praising "praise" and worshiping "worship" instead of praising and worshipping God most people won't even look into it because people really do not want to know because the "Christian" rock or rap is one of their idols.. I did that myself, tried to find "Christian" bands that sounded almost exactly like the non Christian bands I listened to before getting saved. You should read this short book like 4 bucks on amazon , really puts it in perspective though Music Matters: Understanding and Applying the Amazing Power of Godly Music by Cary Schmidt (Jun 7, 2007) Here are some scripture references to look up I Samuel 16 David playing the harp drove out an evil spirit from Saul 16:14-23 (godly music) exodus 32:17-18 worshipping the golden calf pagan partying sound of pagan music (ungodly music) 2 Chronicles 5:12-14 music of praise in Solomon's temple that brought the Lord's presence because it was godly praise music not worldly pagan sounds. (godly music) Psalm 150 that was my go to verse to defend my rock guitar playing yet in reality it'm not me praising God it's me playing rock guitar preending to make it about God. rock and roll was named after backseat fornication and there is a reason rock is played in the stripclubs even instrumental, it's the rhythm based beat heavy . There is a reason Bach is not played in stripclubs yet would not be surprised if "RED" band was played. When you make rock music an idol, it's hard to give it up yet when you have "Christian" girls at "Christian" rock concerts dressing and dancing just like worldly girls it's clear that music is not godly. Do Not Love the World 15Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. 1 John 2:15-17 Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. James 4:4

Anything that rises above our love for Christ is idolatrous. Would you then agree with the point made in the video about Country music being ok? This whole argument is ridiculous. God hates sin but as far as I can tell does not have a musical preference Your point is that you worship the music. I get that. You said that you were looking for musical equivalents to what you were listening to before you were saved. Most people do not. I am a worship musician and listen to many genres of music, but the worship I play on Sunday is 100% vertical, and it is biblically sound. We play a wide variety of genres for worship, and to be honest, I do not like some of the music we play, but it is in the spirit of service to God that I play them. You are wasting your time on this argument. If we are both believers, why argue about music? This is the sort of stuff that tears apart the church. If people are able to worship God with smooth jazz, or country, or Gregorian chants, who are we to judge? Romans 12:2 =)

JR Morris The only people who think music is amoral and style doesn't matter is Christians in the last 50 or so years wanting to have rock in the church to be entertained. The world knows that "booty shaking" beats are not godly no matter what lyrics people throw on them. It's part of the falling away in the last days If you played this in most churches in usa today www.oldchristianmusic.com/mproductpages/bryn-riplinger--god-hath-done-all-things-well.html people would leave because they want entertaining music instead of godly music, standing outside of a church service, should not sound the same as standing outside of a nightclub/bar The fruit of CCM is just a bunch of false converts or lukewarm Christians. people that want to be "saved" yet still live like the world , television is a similar problem. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Revelation 3:16 That's why people get mad at this topic, because their idol is getting kicked around.

I am very disappointed in Christians who are commenting trying to defend what is clearly worldly, and suspect @ best. Yet are willing to throw this man under the bus because he is trying to tell you something that is consistent with the bible. Are the things you are trying to defend consistent with scripture or a reflection of what is popular or accepted in society? How easy people conform to the world @the price of letting go of Gods word.Yet another example of Jesus's last day warning.
