    @matthew cummins, Sorry but you are showing that you don't know what that word means or how racism works. American is not a race. It is however made up of different races. Now you know. Ignoring that America is, generally speaking, uncomfortable with immigrants right now (well immigrants with certain skin pigmentations at least) and you and the rest of the world know it, your attack of him could be considered an example of the racism that you speak of. If you really knew what the word meant you'd know that too. You are not the victim here, sorry.

    My first time in Canada I was literally shocked by how polite people were to me. It was Windsor and was completely different than being in Detroit lol

    Their polite to foreigners but asses to each other, French part is especially racist. But yeah it's a clean country with clean water you can drink from the tap and health care is free and not bad

    @@yahikokurotama4351 i've heard that about our Francophone compatriots, but although I have spent lots of time in French-speaking areas of Québec (post - secondary education, work, social trips...) I have always found them to be warm, open, friendly souls, with a particularly engaging and endearing way of approaching life. How it is that so many people believe such negative things about them is absolutely beyond me.

    Indigenous communities don't always have clean water up here. We still treat them badly. We got rid of conversion schools... in the 90s. Lots of work to do.

    Oh, I should probably warn you that the cost of living, especially in major cities like Toronto or Vancouver, is egregiously high. Also, be prepared for the weather. Contrary to popular belief, however, we have amazing summers, but incredibly frigid winters. If you’re seriously looking to study in Canada, do your own research extensively.

    As an American, Trump is an embarrassment. I can’t stand when i travel to Europe and other Americans on the flight dress loud and proud. I travel to get away, blend in and not bring attention to myself. I can also pick out tourist in other countries.. when i was a kid my parents moved us to England for awhile, the locals thought we were Canadian because we were well behaved..

    The stereotype of Canadians being polite is very true. There is also the stereotype that Americans are not polite. When I went to San Francisco at age 8, I was surprised that Americans actually said sorry and thank you lol

    You can differentiate Canadian and American's arrogants or politeness by watching prank show from both Countries. American prank show would mostly end up with violent reaction in one way or another but Canadian prank show will always end up with laughter at the end. I hate watching American prank show.

    True, but this is how we're perceived in most of the world. Patriotic, gun loving, religious zealots who hate gays. As someone stationed in Germany for 4 years and traveled to France where my GF lives, this really is the world view of us.

    Agree! Ppl here in the states are proud of their ethnicity hence using their ethnicity before the American when describing themselves. But he's comedian and honestly I laughed at his jokes. It was all in good fun even though we were the butt of his jokes.😅
