This is the most enjoyable interview I have seen. Coming from MoBay, either you or your parents must be familiar with Dr. Upton Robotham. This interview was very informative, fascinating and extremely humorous. Thank you. One question I would have like to hear is what is the typical route to get there from Jamaican.

I am surprised that the interviewee , a graduate of Manchester High did not know where French Guiana is located. In Jamaica I was taught that South America was roughly divided into two by Spain and Portugal, the leaders in exploration in the 15th century. The Spanish half divided into factions such as Peru, Ecuador, Uraquay etc. The Portuguese half held together as Brazil. Later other Europeans countries joined the exploration race. The English, French and the Dutch snapped up parts of Brazil which was harder to protect. From that we now have ( British Guiana) 🇬🇾 Guyana, French Guiana, an overseas territory of France, and (Dutch Guiana) Surinam. The Ameridians did not die out and the Brazilians are the largest and now increasingly influential country in South America. We must learn about the New World of the Americas of which Jamaica is apart . I would ask if she ever visited Guyana and/or the Amazon area.

Is 🇯🇲 Jamaica not teaching that there are three Guianas and that (British Guiana) 🇬🇾 Guyana is culturally part of the British West Indies?? I remember, in the 1960s and 1970s, the men appreciating and the women loving the Guyanese cricketers Lance Gibbs and Rohan Kanhai. There are quite a few Jamaican men with the name "Rohan".

French Guyana formerly( Guiana) was formerly known as CAYENNE The European. FRENCH space launch pad for the ARIANNE ROCKET PROJECT IS IN THE JUNGLE OF CAYENNE aka French Guyana and is really in the Amazon Jungle hence the sweltering heat/ humidity. I'm sure we all have heard of the spice called CAYENNE PEPPER. That's the country it is named after.During slavery after the slaves were whipped raw the women would use it as a salve so that the wounds would heal without leaving scars and Keloids on the backs of their men.
