It has as much to do with personality as it does competence. Treat your educators as professionals instead of babysitters, pay them appropriately, and give due respect and you might have the outcome you describe.

@@jamesgamblin3488 It is true. It was said about the famous physicist Julian Schwinger that he publishes to show you that he is the only one who can do it. Not a good idea.(Although he was very approachable apparently on a one-on-one basis). I suppose that Chef Jean-Pierre must have experimented in simplifying some recipes for his channel. It seems like he did although he is not too explicit about it.

Any new viewers should know that forgetting the mushrooms was no big deal. One time he baked a gopro in the oven. That's why I love this channel. Because that's what real cooking is like. Not all fake and staged and rehearsed and perfect.

Everyone screws up, if they're trying to get a good job done. People who don't screw up aren't trying to accomplish anything. Screw ups + experience/caring = excellence. The family is going to love this one. Thank you Chef!

If you've never tried his frittata techniques, you are in for a treat. I've been making my frittatas his way since his first frittata video, and it always turns out perfect. One of my favorite recipes.

@@DEXTER-TV-series oh for Christ’s sake,go away! You have bitched about a number of Jean Pierre’s videos. Perhaps you should try another cooking channel and leave the rest of us in peace. I am sure there are no fat, only egg white with zero cheese videos out there somewhere. I made this and it was fantastic.
Even when you miss a step… your results are masterful. I’ve learned two lessons.. The first is to have fun! And the second, how to easy it is to correct it! “No worries friends!” “Don’t worry about it!” I love it! Thank you Chef JP! Anyone who learns these two lessons, will become, in time, a great cook! Bravo!
I'm watching it again.. because I am making it for a friends 73rd Bday..no one will know until I present it... I made one for myself..ty Chef
I make a frittata on most Sundays and always wonder why the edge is so brown, now I know why! Thank you for sharing the details. I appreciate everything you do on this channel for us part time home chefs
I use The Chef’s accent with a bit of my Texas twang when making the kiddos cereal in the a.m. We all love The Chef.
The chef, makes everything fun, easy and delicious. I'm so making this on the weekend. Please pray for me 🙏 😂 I boiled eggs and the fire department showed up. 😂

Love frittatas!!! Thanks for your excellent instructions so mine will turn out perfectly! :) So glad you forgot the mushrooms because things happen in our kitchens and we learn to correct our mistakes!!! ❤️
Chef! Remember when you said you kept a bowl of butter by the stove for moral support! I thought of you today and moved my sourdough starter into my office, it even has it's own table. Been struggling at work lately and thought of you and wanted that as my moral support! thank you!
My 8 year old grandson has been cooking your recipes with me for a while now and every recipe is awesome.
I get so excited when a new video comes up...just nipping out to get the ingredients 😁😁👍 Edit....I have to add that my wife and I LOVE this man. He's changed our dinners at home and it's fun to cook now. 👍
I’ve learned NOT to do my grocery shopping until I’ve watched Chef JP’s offering 💕💕 The “Screw ups” are simply a bonus my friend xx Voila ❤
I made this tonight. It was delicious. Didn't have an oven proof frying pan so used a low non stick bread tin I got from Lidl. Still got loads left for the next couple of days.
This is the most exciting and delicious looking frittata I’ve ever seen! I’ve always wanted to make one. Now, I will!
I need to wise up and start planning my weekly trips to the grocery AFTER Chef JP posts a new video. Looks so good hate to have to wait to have the items in my pantry to try! Merci Chef!
This is amazing! I have been overcooking my frittata for 30 year. Thank you for another terrific recipe.
Absolutely NOTHING "boring" about you! Mistakes and all is what makes you so easy to identify with! Cheers
I absolutely love watching & listening to you cook …you remind me of my father in law that was a professional cook for hospitals & big corporations like Raytheon fantastic cook 👩🍳 he dirtied a lot of dishes/pots and pans but ALWAYS WORTH IT in the end …sadly passed away back in 1983 so I’ve missed all that but remember it fondly & you have rekindled all those great memories THANK YOU SO MUCH 😊
Chef Pierre, you are an amazing teacher with clear instructions and methods. Impressive recipes and you are very entertaining and fun to watch your videos. God bless you and thanks for all you teachings.
Chef. I’ve just discovered your channel a couple of weeks ago. I started with your mushroom sauce which my wife absolutely adores. I’m going to try this recipe today. Your instructions are clear and entertaining. Thank you.

I have to come back and watch this occasionally... because it looks sooo good!
Chef, you got me interested in cooking. Thank you. Also, you seem like a genuine and wonderful person. Too bad not many are raised like this now adays. Keep up the good work. Again, thank you.
I made this. Absolutely delicious & part of my repertoire now. Thank you for sharing your amazing & personal favorite recipe! God bless! P.S. I love these contemporary recipes. However, I'm wondering if you could share, occasionally, some of your "classic" recipes from when you owned your own restaurant. They could be dishes that are your favorites as well as those of your patrons at the time. 😊
Thanks Chef JP for another fantastic video. It is impressive how many delicious recipes you can make.
Jean-Pierre I'm shocked, what did you forget to do ? you forgot to say a blessing before you flipped it 😁 It looks amazing and so tasty I cannot wait to try this Thankyou, your the best ! ❤
The catering company I work for (in part inspired by your work) always says great food doesn't have to be difficult. the 4 rules. 1: Always be well prepared before cooking 2: Always have high quality and fresh products 3: Treat food with love and value 4: Don't make anything more difficult than necessary

From my many viewings of Hotel Hell and Kitchen Nightmares, I learned that restaurants that do poorly break rule 4 and try to solve it by breaking rule 2.

Fantastic meal. I like the tips in this video to make the perfect frittata. Thank you, chef! Gold star!
Prepared this for Mother's Day Brunch and it was a hit. Came out perfect and was very tasty. Also was the first time preparing one of Chef's dishes for a group....Thanks Chef for making me look like I knew what I was doing....It was a loaded with compliments!
In our world of modern science, we need to devise a way to make what ever dish you are cooking to instantly appear at my table once it is completed. All this looks amazing.
Whoever is editing these videos has as good a sense of humor as CJP. I spit my drink out laughing when as Chef was recalling the correct order to cook the bacon/onion/mushroom and the computer processing icon showed up on his head. Clever. Keep up the great work folks! You've clearly found the magic formula for producing top notch videos that are entertaining AND informative.

For me, I like to see 'mistakes' especially since Chef JP doesn't edit out what he calls 'mistakes'. I see this as a learning opportunity and honestly, I'd be quite happy to see more of how to correct various mistakes because we all know we WILL make them! For instance, I made the delicious French onion soup recipe, cutting it in half. However, I did Not cut the amount of flour/butter for the roux in half. I tell you, somehow I had enough blonde roux to make a few gallons of soup, lol. I didn't know if I should just remove some of the roux before adding the stock (didn't seem like a good idea because too many ingredients were in it), or just add more liquid (which is what i did). Fortunately, I had just enough stock in my freezer to make it work, although my onion to 'soup' ratio was off - but it was very good anyway by some miracle. I now have French onion soup in my freezer to last the winter, lol. Anyway, I am never disappointed to see a mistake and learn how to fix it. TY as always chef for another amazing recipe!
