Truths! Blush doesn’t serve me either. I honestly think make up as you know depends on the person there’s certain things I cannot do. I use more of like a highlighter there on my cheekbones, but I might not wanna wear that as an aging too

I am 62, been a pro mua for over 35 years. Everything old is new again. Newer formulations are great, I see alot of the 70s coming back. Especially blush placement. Folks should just go with what makes them feel best without looking like a clown. I hope contouring takes a break. Also chasing youth throgh makeup is a losing gambit. Wear sunscreen everyday and use the best skincare you can, doesnt have to cost alot. I love your videos. You have great technique and a good sense of humour.

Wow! I’m 62 yrs. old and boy was I doing a lot of techniques wrong, I learned so much in just this video, thank you Ali, this was a big help.

It's a very 90s meets 60s minimalist look. You are stunning. I personally hate trends, rules, etc. because what works for one will not always work for another, and I believe in people having a unique style, however I will say, this look suits you so much. It's very Monica Bellucci.

I was thinking too that this reminds me of 90s makeup. Particularly the lower lashes and the brown lip liner. I'm not a fan. Haha. But I love the simpler eyes and blush. I have always used blush, even when no one else did. Now I'm modern for the first time ever. Ha

Love this, Andreea, thank you! Besides the fact that you taught me to use my makeup, you are such a positive and kind person. The thing I also appreciate about you and your channel is that you never 'go into stuff' meaning tea, drama, shade, etc. You rarely even say you don't like something, you just say, it doesn't work for me... I remember, you once said, 'I'm a happy person. I choose to be happy', something along these lines. I often remember that. So maybe you could talk of that sometimes too? While grwm or something? So for someone, especially young girls, who look up to you, your ways, not only doing makeup but approach to life, it's important to see that life doesn't just happen, we make it so with our positive attitude, kindness, staying humble and centered, and loads, loads of hard work. That’s true positive vibes. This is my first time watching her and I like how she’s doing her make up. I don’t see any flaws. She hast to cover up though I have quite a few are things going wrong and it’s gonna take me some work to figure out ways around them.

This was fabulous- so helpful! I would love more tips for mature skin. You mentioned that powder might not work if you're 70, but it also hasn't worked on me since50's. Now that I just turned 60 and am more interested than ever, I just wish someone would make us less invisible! But, as you said, our society is all about youth. You start to fade from view around 40... I'm not okay with that! SoI want to look and feel my vest self! Thank you for these excellent tips. Hope you will have another mature model on... but maybe on who doesn't look like an absolute movie star😊💜

Thank you so much for this video! I tried many of techniques last night before going out to dinner with my husband. He complimented me especially on my eyes and said they looked beautiful and subtle. In my late ‘30s, I hate heavy makeup up. You are my teacher, love your quality and simplicity, please do not ever stop.

I love this! The youth obsession is really getting out of hand. I know we've always been pressured to look young but it's at the point where I've seen literal 16 year olds worried about wrinkles. I think gen z is going to have a major crisis in a few decades. The "natural" thing with neutral colors and everything all ties in to that too. It feels like you're supposed to be almost hiding the fact that you're using makeup, so bright colors are a no-no because they draw attention to the fact you're wearing makeup. Like with the lashes, falsies are too "fake", so you have to buy products to grow your own lashes to be as close to falsies as possible. You're supposed to be perfect but you're not supposed to TRY to be perfect... Young people are so obsessed with skincare these days too, some of them are obsessed to an unhealthy point. So much money spent on products, to look like you don't "need" makeup, and then more money spent on "natural" looking makeup. Putting so much effort into "effortless" perfection. And then all the money spent on procedures! It's just sad to see 20 yr olds so obsessed with anti aging. This is a long rant lol. I dunno if any of this makes sense. But it's just unfortunate that some people (me included) are spending so much effort to fight something that is not in our control.

Literally the best makeup tutorial I've watched in months. Maybe years. The contour under foundation. Concealer toward hairline, which I've heard. But I feel like you made it important enough to remember. Those two things alone. But everything else just set this off. Thank u so much. Can't wait to do my makeup.

Important to still bring out the strengths of one's face and minimize the weaknesses. Maybe because I am an older person now, I hate the emphasis on youth in order to be beautiful. There's great beauty in an older person. Experience and wisdom is present in the older face as much as in the heart. THAT is true beauty!

The "modern" blush you so beautifully executed here is so good to see! I have always looked better with blush under my eyes and now I feel very on trend! And thanks for the thorough explanation of the eye work. Beautiful!

I would love to know more about the contour color selction. The one you used here was quite red toned, while I know most powder contours (over foundation) are gray toned. Would love clarification on this to know what to look for in contour! Thank you for sharing your knowledge!

Thank you Andreea. I am currently working with my own products on perfecting my look as best as possible. I agree that it’s time to dial down the shine. I want my makeup to look more natural (even if it isn’t) and it occurs to me that’s probably best done by leaning on matte products, especially AFTER having applied my base. Currently obsessed with the By Terry brighteners as, or before my base now so I mean after that in eyeshadows in particular and perhaps blushes and so on. I am going to go and see what I have to do this look and try something like it. I’ll let you know if I feel better or worse afterwards! Maddy

Lol! But for those of us who cannot afford all luxury products there are dupes from drugstore most likely, might not be exactly the same but you'll be able to have fun with makeup anyway, that's what I do!
