Pareidolia produces some of the most creative art on canvas, wood, sand, etc. Thank you for making that phenomenon clear! :)

You will find I do think out of the box and I see those things walking among us - I take pictures and illustrate them too. They look evil and hideous like demons would be expected - even reptile like often. I also see religious figures full body in detail. They say it is religious pareidolia. I'm actually legally blind. Have a stellar mental health report saying I suffer from no mental issues and have nonsubstance abuse issues. My IQ tops out at 150. That is not low. But I see what others do not. Everywhere. I see Religious pareidolia all over the place on many things in many places indoors and outdoors - even had a cat with Jesus in his fur. So I began taking pictures and created my own brand of photo illustration as I help others to see what I see. My brand is PARANET-X. Ah, pareidolia! I've always enjoyed visual pareidolia; I grew up in a house with wood-grain paneling, and was always seeing horse heads and whatnot in the paneling. Even to this day, I enjoy looking at stains, chipped paint, etc. and look for recognizable shapes in it. On the flip side, I hate audio pareidolia. "Unexplained" noises, especially if they are repetitive, drive me crazy. One thing I do want to thank you for in this video is informing me of olfactory pareidolia. I was unaware that we could experience phantom smells in such a way. But it does totally explain why sometimes I will smell something and someone right next to me does not, or vice versa. I will be telling all of my friends to watch this video. It is very informative, not just for the Paranormal community, but for people who have absolutely no interest in the Paranormal as well.

Pareidolia is fun. I enjoy seeing faces and shapes in everything. There was an old Peanuts cartoon where Charlie and Linus are laying on their backs, staring at the clouds. Charlie asks, " What do you see?" Linus says something like " I see a tableau of Saint George slaying the Dragon in the style of Bouguereau, what do you see Charlie? " Charlie says " I was gonna to say a horsey and a ducky, but I changed my mind."

My mind has fooled me plenty of times. My favorite was from over 20 years ago, I was in the Army and the barracks were setup like a college dorm, with two soldiers per room but it was just a single room with two beds and we shared a bathroom with the room next door.I was out at the enlisted club with some friends and came home late. In the dark I saw my roommate sound asleep in his bed, so I left the lights out as a courtesy. But I also saw someone crouched against the wall! I couldn't see who it was but I could clearly see them sitting on their knees, I could see the heel of their shoe pressed up against the wall, their arms were at their side and pressed against the wall as well. I couldn't make out the face but I could tell this person had their head down with their chin pressed into their chest. I was trying to act nonchalant by humming to myself and taking things out of my pocket to place on my nightstand, but I kept my body positioned so I could see this person out of the corner of my eye. I figured it was just one of our barracks neighbors playing a weird prank and they would jump up and scream or something, but no; they just sat there... waiting. I could feel their eyes watching me and I went from curious to annoyed to angry and then scared. Whoever this was had gone way past the time to pull some jump scare, which meant they had something else planned. I could hear my roommate snoring, but in between his sounds I could make out the sound of the intruder breathing. I had run out of things to do that made me look preoccupied, but there was no way I was just going to get undressed and climb into bed with some strange person in hiding in the dark. I could feel my heart in my chest, my skin was tingling with goosebumps and I was in a state of hyper awareness as every sense was picking up information and flooding it to my brain. Thats when I decided to take action, enough was enough! I took a casual half step in the direction of the intruder and then delivered a spinning back kick that would have made my old karate sensei proud, right into the chest of the person foolish enough to try this on my room.Between the sound of the thud against the wall, my primal scream of KIYAH!! and the unmistakable sound of breaking plastic my roommate woke up and turned on the lamp on his night stand. It turns out that this "intruder" was my roommates long sleeve shirt and hat hanging on the vacuum cleaner in the corner of the room. the base of the vacuum was what I had mistaken for knees and shoes and his clothes were the arms and head I saw. Everything else was just my mind filling in the blanks. My roommate sat up, rubbing his eyes asking what was happening as I stood over his now broken in half vacuum cleaner. I told him that I tripped over the vacuum cleaner in the dark and would buy him a new one in the morning.

Right after my dog passed away I kept seeing him all over the place. Or rather, I kept thinking I was seeing him all over the place. He was a pitch black toy sized poodle. So shadows would sort of trick me into thinking Bear was by my side or laying in the hall like he would do all the time.

I am an artist and I do pareidolia drawings at times. I find it very enjoyable and interesting to see what I will see. The way I do it is I look at a piece of paper that has a slight texture or something making a pattern on it which most paper has already from the process of making it. I highlight the pattern with a graphite stick and then I highlight whatever I am seeing. They become some of my best artwork. I have also taught people how to draw in about fifteen minutes that never drew anything before. Leonardo da vinci wrote one of his notebooks on pareidolia and said that it was the best art teaching tools and he also use it for visualizing his inventions by staring at a old wall with different stones and colors. Worth giving it a try

I'm an almost 63 year old guy. I've had pareidolia my whole life. I'm a creative type with artwork and have been a woodworker my whole life as a career,. At first it was fun and entertaining for quite awhile for me. It still kind of is. However a few years ago I stopped sharing my visions with people I know. People started looking at me as if I were crazy . So I stopped sharing my visions. It's not worth being judged by what I clearly see and they don't. It seems as if I get sick the vision get more frequent . Just be careful with what and how often you share things others do not see .

I've gotten to the point I just let them believe whatever they say because no matter how much knowledge you present in front of someone, you can't get them to understand. This literally is the worst part of being in this field. You did enlighten me on a few others I never knew had names for them. Audio and senses... That really helps me to explain them much better. Again Grant, A++++! I appreciate your knowledge so much. Your and Reanna's videos are GOLD my friend! Keep up the awesome work. 👍👻❤️🌟

As a creative I often think I have this to am extreme. I always tell people I won’t give my opinions on photos. “Yes, I see a face there, over there, in that rug, I can put together a face anywhere!” My opinion isn’t helpful as confirmation since my bias swings so far towards recognition.

I am inclined to believe that artists, sculpture have refined this talent, which play a part in their work. Marco Angelo, allegedly, responded to an inquiry, "How do you do that?", when referring to a sculpture he was working on at the time. "I see an image in the marble and chip away everything that is not part of the image," the artist/sculptor replied, nonchalantly. For several years, I own a company, ACTORS & ARTISTS, and had the opportunity to discuss this phenomenon. I concluded that their pareidolia skill/talent was keener than others.

I haven't really told many ppl about this but as a child pareidolia was an issue for me. There were eyes everywhere looking at me. There were faces in the carpet and objects were alive. I saw creatures and figures in everything. I can say I'm no longer afraid of it and i view it more as a creative gift. Back in 2005 my friend's wife found the word pareidolia in a paranormal book and we ended up naming our music project "PAREIDOL". We put out songs that have layers of different meanings, for example one song can be interpreted as adultery but the underlying theme of the lyrics are drug addiction. We have been inactive for a while but 2 albums are available on bandcamp and we are actually about to start working on music again. We changed the form of the word and consider PAREIDOL as the actual thing you are interpreting vs pareidolia being the phenomenon of the mind.

I love your story - I have had the same never ending visual 'issue seeing faces and loads of eyes staring back at me. I'm not religious but am a trained Lutheran with those beliefs and I do believe in God and Satan for sure but I'm like most common sinners and not one to preach. I do smoke marijuana and prefer concentrates in a pen only now that I'm older. They say that any mind altering substance will enhance the chance of seeing pareidolia, or so they say that is what it is. I know the Bible says demons and angels both are all around us and Jesus is Omni Present, everywhere all at once. I'm actually legally blind and never had issues with seeing anything that was not really there as I struggle to see what is there - lol. You will find I do think out of the box and I see those things the Bible talks about being all around us actually walking among us - I take pictures and illustrate them too. It started with Evil images and demonic images They look evil and hideous like demons would be expected to look - even reptile like often. I then began in 2007 at age 41) to see religious pareidolia everyplace, to see religious figures full body in detail. Mixed with the dark and demonic imagery actually or together anyway. They say it is religious pareidolia. I have a stellar mental health report saying I suffer from no mental issues and have nonsubstance abuse issues. To see some of my photos and photo-illustrations of what religious pareidolia I see you can view some of my early work have been doing this for 1 years now) on a Facebook private group "Catholic Art Geeks." Join the group and put my name CORY BOBER in the member search bar then scroll down through my wok but don't miss my additional images in the comments and in the replies to the comments under each post. Here is the link - facebook.com/groups/141770936429192 I'm not showing the demonic imagery I captured and illustrated in the Facebook group linked above being it is not permitted, the 'art' has to be "Catholic-inspired or Catholic traditional art, old or new to be approved for the group. My work is definately appearing to be Catholic-inspired. Funny thing is I only illustrate what I see and when done you too can see what I see in my untouched photo illustrate. I show both before and after illustration photos so you can compare. I see religious pareidolia at tragic events or scenes of death in national news events in grand large formats, both in video and still photos, all of the time too. it is so very crazy to have this odd ability but I make art of it and tell stories with it to include some scripture to go with the imagery I make. My work I'm told inspires people closer to God, it did that for me and it made me really think about my finality. I changed my life fast when this all started in 2007 out of the blue. I was 41 then and I'm 57 now. I have over 15 years f a lot of work into perfecting my phot-illustrative techniques as I demonstrate all sorts of religious pareidolia I see in nature, in doors and in images o major news events where people's lives were at great risk or people died tragically. Be sure to check out my photos and my photo-art illustrative work, I post new PARANET-X brand photo illustrations in the Catholic Art Geeks group on Facebook every 24 hours and most of my new posts are approved before 1pm PST daily. Everything I'm sharing in the group and my brand are copyright reserved. I have a brand logo I designed for my work.. I'm sharing none of my photos or illustrations of them that I made since 12.31.12 because I'm saving it for another project. Everything changed in my illustrative works and became AMAZINGLY BETTER after 01.01.13 as I moved to hand to canvas x10in. illustration and larger formats of 16in.x 20in. printed photos on canvas that I illustrated.

@@emwest9891 the problem to all of this explanation videos as it was only your brain messing up, is when those voices get recorded on audio, and when you can see that they are actually there by using a sonogram to actually view them. Evps are studied since the beginning of last century even by the Vatican, ghostboxes, are mere toys for people that are clueless about what they are doing.

An interesting video, Grant, but, please, don't be so quick to dismiss it as ' a silly quirk' (my interpretation). Pareidolia can be a good diagnostic aid to analyse what's going on in the subconscious. Also, it can be used to 'reprogram' your mind when it goes into a loop and won't budge, like that song you can't get out of your head. (I forget the technical name for this so if you know it, please let me know) I stumbled onto thoughts on the subject, pareidolia, and what was going on in my mind due to the situation during Lockdown 2020. I developed a couple of practices to reprogram and 'super-charge' my mind and the results were amazing. I returned to my artwork after a decade and since then have produced dozens of 'collections' of artworks on specific themes. I have become prolific which has attracted greater wealth. I also have a complete collection of artworks and detailed notes to illustrate the psychological changes brought about during (not 'by') isolation and discovering a personal means to achieve a higher consciousness. If you're interested in the details, I will happily share my discoveries, practices, theories and experiences.

I saw a ghost walking towards me down the hallway as I crossed from one room to another. Instantly, I went into a KARATE DEFENSE stance that I forget that I knew. The hair on my neck stood up. My muscles were tense. The image was of an elderly man in tan trousers, and a light blue shirt. I recognized it as the recently deceased previous owner of our house, who had died recently. He had a scowl on his face, appeared upset, and angry. It walked the length of the hallway, approximately 40 feet. I was frozen in this Karate pose and intent on defending myself. When it was within 2-3 feet from me, as I recognized it, it vanished. It startled me. I got the impression he was not happy with what we were doing to the house.

This one actually pinged suggested while I was driving and wondering wether or not matrixing had an auditory function as well. Watch above to see why😀. My only experiences with visual matrixing happened while I was walking on the dark side of life. I kept seeing a demon in the texture of my shower door glass while showering. Over time I was able to spot at Everytime. I know now that because the glass never changed...lol. however....the deeper down the rabbit hole I went, the more I was able to ilicit (imagine) it having a happy face or mean face. That's when I started communicating with it. Bad idea. At the time I thought it was actually happening, but looking back, I know whole heartedly that I got the answers I wanted Everytime. Not good. 7 yrs later and with a firmer grasp on reality, I'm able to use what I learned then, mix it with Grants tutoring, and start analyzing things much differently. Thanks Grant😀😜😇

I think this can also be applied to politics, religion etc where a belief in opinion is backed up be evidence the person wants to use to support their point of view - selectively recognizing and using facts/information that support their opinion although there is often opposing facts/information that support opposing opinions. That's why they say never talk about politics and religion 🤦‍♂️

I have always thought everyone just did this. That may be because I come from a family of artists. This was always just fun until my doctor gave me a very common drug to help with anxiety. That caused real problems because I started to see green traffic lights instead of red and could not tell the difference and I was reading signs that were not there. Cut the drugs and the problem went away. But I am curious about this so if anyone else has had this same experience I would like to know about it.

I din't wish to make an argument from ignorance here as I am not a paranormal investigator BUT... I read Tarot and I Ching and am currently stidying astrology. My sense of these things, as well as all the scrying techniques (smoke gazing, tea leaves reading, etc.) is that they work BECAUSE OF PAREiDOLIA. This doesn't mwan that the results if divination aren't "real". The "noise" triggers the deeper truth in the situation. How can you be certain that, for example, the ghost of uncle Joe is a "false positive" because it doesn't have the proportions of a living body? What ever a ghost is, it is NOT a living human body. If someone sees uncle Joe, perhaps it is simply that he has something to tell them. I'd love to hear your thoughts on this.

I believe that too and my works shows it is. To see some of my photos and illustrations of what religious pareidolia I see you can view some of my early work have been doing this for 1 years now) on a Facebook private group "Catholic Art Geeks." Join the group and put my name CORY BOBER in the member search bar then scroll down through my wok but don't miss my additional images in the comments and in the replies to the comments under each post. Some wild comments in here. Pareidolia seems a bit like a flaw, or it can develop into one. Seems it might be important to understand early on what it is and why it happens, but very few have any idea of the process. I see the opposite in the majority, most recently with the alien debacle. People are primed to interpret things according to their interests, bias, focus, assumptions, (FEARS. It's a big one), and whatever else, and when they do it is fully convincing to them. So much that even those around them oblivious to pareidolia take their claims as credible, they believe them because they seem so convinced. Well they are convinced, of a self constructed illusion.
