the reason why Opening 25 is shorter is because they brought back the endings hehe

To elaborate; the Japanese network One Piece is on had a strict limit on time for One Piece's timeslot, so they stopped making ending themes and instead made the openings longer, starting with the Straw Hats' version of We Are. It's been about 17 years since we last had an ending theme.
@Spika94

@@TsukentoX That's such a weird decision, because they could have simply just kept an opening and ending, and reduced the amount of dragged out filler.

@@Spika94 legit not joking, one Piece anime producers have brain cancer. For the last 15 years fans have told them to make fillers instead of dragging the story (OP being the one anime where fillers work so good since you can introduce anime only Island). They never did it. We told them to get openings and ending and end recaps. They did not.

@@Nosirt yeah, some fans think little filler is good.. It causes padding which is much shittier, ofcourse they can just choose to give it good pacing regardless but if they really dont want to more filler can work, but i guess thats less money too.

That shot of Luffy just laughing in opening 25 is the most precious thing ever, still brings me tears of joy every time i see it. And it hits that much more when you have the context. Hope you'll get there someday. We'll be waiting for you in the Land of Wano. Come at any cost!

9:23 "His Smile is contagious." That is actually how Luffy's new form is described in-story. "Makes everyone smile."
Sanji/Luffy/Jimbei would all be monks. Nami would be a storm sorcerer. Brook the bard. Zoro fighter. Chopper would be some sort of druid. Robin would be arcane trickster rogue. Usopp ranger. Franky artificer.

@@kianbrusselbach6106 don't forget at least 1 level in bard, for his storytelling. And everyone in the crew, but Zoro and Sanji, are in the multiclass party. Nami started as a fighter, but grown into sorceress. Chopper is an animal path druid, with at least 1 level of monk thrown in for Kung-Fu Point alone. Franky's fighting style is a bit too much of a monk or fist-fighting rogue, to be a pure artificer. Robin is too hard to classify in any of the sub-classes without multiclassing, and even then I can't add up all of her abilities to any combo of 2. Brook is obviously a bard, but with his level and style of swordsmanship, he certainly had at least 1 level of Duelist (which, is a subclass of Fighters, if I remember it right). Luffy... Ugh... His DF just forces him into multiclassing... Honestly, maybe give all DF-users some levels in warlock class as a rule? You know, with DF as a patron. I'd say priest is a possibility as well, due to diversity of DFs, but users are pretty much "given" powers, and they don't need to worship anyone, so warlocks are better fit, imo.
"The Breathtaking World of One PIece" is definitely a video that is a real treat to watch. It shows off the amazing world that Oda has crafted.
It's not the last arc, but this arc has definitely being the *LONGEST* arc so far and has been one of the most anticipated arcs in the manga, the author has been building up to it for an entire decade and it covers 149 manga chapters (4 real life years) And after the current arc in the manga there's gonna be one we have been waiting for *SINCE 1999*
5:36 "I have a feeling that's what most of the One Piece show is about, the power of friendship." Not as much as you'd think, actually. It does have one of the best group of recurring friends and interactions, with heartfelt moments and character development, but oddly enough (without spoiling plot) most of the show's larger themes revolve around history, corruption, power, governing, and terrorism/anarchy.

In opening 25, it depicts a journal. The journal's author draws a circle. There is a word in Japanese, "Nakama". When translated literally it means "Inner Circle" it basically encompasses the concept of extended family. In each of the flashing images there is a circle of some kind. The writer of the journal is writing about his "Nakama".The character in black silhouette at the end is the writer and the camera zooms out from his eye.

i'd say that luffy and sanji would both be multiclasses of barbarian since they both often power up when they get angry and monk while jinbe would be a pure monk. zoro is hard because fighter would be the most obvious choice but he has so many different ways to attack areas or distances, so i am not sure. i think chopper would probably be an alchemist artificer multiclassed with a monk that just never uses his actual artificer feats. franky fits the armorer artificer like a glove just like how usopp would prabably either be a pure artillery artificer or that multiclassed with a fighter or rogue. nami would either be a rogue or a rogue wizard multiclass. robin i have no clue i give up. and last but most importantly our lord and saviour Mr. Con D Oriano is every class and subclass at the same time, because that is the only way to explain how powerful this man truly is.

I cried during opening. The final saga is nearing, and I really wish I'd started watching sooner. Only a few months and the anime only watchers will start heading toward the One Piece. How bittersweet.
all the scenes from opening 25 was only from one arc lmao! well tbf that arc has been ongoing for almost 4-5 years in the anime but the finale of the climax will end this sunday! 🤣 (sep 10)

Yeah, Opening 25 hit me in the feels massively. Been following One Piece since 2004, this opening just makes me smile at how far Luffy has come, and how happy he is
Opening 25 hits really deep. As a long time fan I can't put into words the emotions I feel when I listed to that opening. I laughed and cried (tons) from this anime. Truly a masterclass in storytelling.
Most of my RL memories connected with One Piece are things like "Oh, I was so depressed when I hit this arc. I don't know how I would have survived without these guys." There's some deep dark stuff that happens in this show, but everyone is so full of love, life, laughter, and joy. It's hard to describe what One Piece is to anyone who hasn't watch it. It's an adventure, that's for sure, but it's also a life philosophy about overcoming hardship and finding happiness.
These are the two best openings in the entire anime and nothing will change my mind
The Wano arc has been going on since around 2019 for Anime watchers and 2018 for Manga readers so we've been in this arc for 4 years lol. Opening 25 really hitting hard in the feels.
Back in November 2002, my mom worked at GameStop, and she got me a copy of the very first issue of Shonen Jump that had just come in because she knew I liked watching Dragon Ball Z and figured this was something I'd like. That was my introduction to One Piece, about 2 years before the anime even started airing in America. I haven't always kept up to date with where the series is, but I've never forgotten it, and I always pop back in every now and then to see what's going on with it. It's been a part of my world for a little over 2/3 of my life now, and it's amazing to see someone looking at it with fresh eyes.
The Peak definitely hit me in the feels
the new crewmate has been a recurring character since right before the time skip, he befriended luffy and ace and has just been that guy who gives you a lot of tough love to help you grow as a person, he's also one of the strongest members of the crew since he can fight on multiple terrains ie land and sea and he joins the crew as their helmsman
glad that you heard the fan outcry in regards to skipping, One Piece is a journey and you would miss so much by skipping, filler is ok to skip if you wish though, no problem with that, except not to skip G8, because that is a filler arc that is practically canon. in the last video you said you like character exploration, well there's a TON of that, even with characters who ARE NOT among the Straw Hats. Oda created a world full of real(ish) people with motivations, dreams, backstories and more. the only thing that One Piece is missing is Romance, if it had that, it would have EVERYTHING.
@KamisamanoOtaku

I'd go so far as to suggest watching the _Ice Hunter Arc_ as well. The story telling isn't as good as G8, *but* it is decent and lets you see some stuff you'll have to wait to see in action in canon. At the very least, I enjoyed it. XP

Yeah, even one-off enemies, who get defeated in 1-2 episodes and don't play a greater role in the arc they are in, will sometimes get a full fleshed out backstory, making you care way too much about them (looking at you senor pink)
Opening 25 hit me in the feels for sure. I have watched this show for 16 years or so. There was only about 350 episodes when I started (which I binged in 2 weeks, lmao).
Im really happy to see you enjoying your first intro into one piece with the ops. I cant wait for when you slowly start going through the anime at your pace and seeing your reactions to all these wonderful and memorable moments we love. There is nothing better for a one piece fan to see than a person diving into the world of one piece and we always want more people to enjoy it. Thank you for the great video!
Opening 25 is one of the best anime songs I have ever heared, no it’s the BEST opening in Anime, the song and the story behind is so great and yeah it hit me very hard
Heads up, the live action ep 4 has a spoiler for the Anime 313, but fuck it am I right? Edit: Heads up, you still cry a lot, you'll laugh too, but will definitely cry. So have Tissues ready. By the time we get to Sanji. :-)
In that last vid my heart almost stopped when you mentioned certain arcs you wanna watch. Glad you will not skip. Love the reactions so far.
15 years of watching and reading one piece and so many emotions culminated on opening 25 for me, we are nearing the end of the adventure
The Wano arc (current) is by far the longest arc in One Piece. 186 episodes so far, and it is quite a spectacle. Also very high budget for its animation as it goes on. It's crazy.
LaliHo!!! Thanks for the One Piece opening reactions!
I actually follow a TikToker who actually is going over one piece as if it’s a dnd campaign
Opening 25 definitely hit me so much different. It's just....gawd I'm so happy to be an OP fan, hope you enjoy the journey too someday
Definitely about friendship but sooo much more that’s why the show is so good because no matter who you are or what you like there will 100% be a theme in the show you you will like
Last one is shorter because they brought ending song back. First time since pre-timeskip.
I love opening 25. The arc-location has suffered for 20 long years, trapped by their own past, and so having the flashback scenes confined in the circle just for Luffy to break through in a flash to have this big montage of happy times to represent the future. Wano-Kuni's long night is over with a shining dawn.
I love your reaction on opening 25🤧
can't wait for you to see the live action review...
Opening 25 always brings a tear to my eye because it's so nostalgic and emotional best arc ever
Starting from opening 7 the anime never had an ending song, so they made the openings almost 2 mins long but 3 or 2 weeks before opening 25 ending songs returned.
25 is such a bopper !! 🎶
make sure you watch the new ending, it's the first one we've had in 17 years.
I remember first watching op 25 i actually teared up a bit
we finally got a new ending paired with the last opening,i recommend it,its really great
10:15 it literally made me start crying idek why because i dont cry easily for this kind of stuff 😭 i love luffy sm he makes me smile too
One Piece of story with thousand history. the journey feels so real
To get that white form he was assisted by his enemy, by sending him to death two times 😂😂
The first time I saw opening 25, I cried. It's really a long journey until the nakama can get here
ok last video i commented watching a vtuber react to anime openings was redundant but since listening to the commentary and hearing you nail so much of the plot off openings, ive since developed some character grown and changed my mind
One Piece is an adventure well worth undertaking. It is a beautiful, heartfelt story. Subbing to stay updated :) (also your vtuber model is gorgeous and very well made), Luffy would be a bare fist fighter or monk by far. (Dnd anime nerd here)
"I remember that Episode it made me cry" x1000
2:20 Correct assumption, but it's not just a town, it's a whole country.
i would love to see your react to this anime despite its length. I am not a regular viewer and have a hard time paying attantion to streams but one piece is so good i would try xD haha
I feel like Luffy is an unarmed Ranger. (Not morally obviously but, that kid of makes sense to me for me.)
enjoy the journey
Straw hat D&D classes if I were making them: Luffy is like a pure monk, big punching but hard to replicate his stretchy range. May still pump strength Zoro can easily be made as a fighter, no need to complicate things. Swords. Usopp is hard, some kind of weird ranger/artificer hybrid could do it though. Sanji too is definitely a monk but I kinda want to say he has some paladin levels and the DM lets him smite with his feet. Nami is straight-up a wizard. I've never seen a character that is more a wizard than her in media with this little magic. She has a staff and casts lightning bolt. Chopper... I mean I don't want to make everyone a monk but he's a hand-to-hand combatant without anything else one could call magic. Maybe a little cleric to represent the medicine. Robin has such a weird and specific thing going on I would struggle to make her. Best I can think of is make her a wizard but pick spells that one could flavor as her devil fruit ability. Franky has artificer vibes, but hear me out: warlock. He has a forceful personality for that high charisma, his weaponry could easily be spells, and he draws power from an unusual source. Brook has bard vibes and it would be simplicity itself to make a revenant bard that is literally just Brook Jinbei is another hand to hand fighter but with his personality and moral code I want to say he's all paladin and the DM already allows unarmed smites for Sanji.
After watching someone that had no clue about anything, and not discovering any plot points even after watching the 25 openings, you discovering even things that are not easy to see or understand by the openings is amazing
These openings were so good 😭😭🔥🔥🔥
I cried at the latest opening
First time watching the new opening
There's actually a one piece DND campaign I've seen a different ppl do it on KZread look up one instead of a regular party they have them separated into crew positions like NAVIGATOR, HELMSMAN, SHARPSHOOTER, COOK, DOCTOR, MUSICIAN, SHIPWRIGHT, FIRST MATE, ARCHEOLOGIST/ SPY, and CAPTAIN it's cool if u like DND
One Piece is beyond power of friendship. It's the love of a found family.
Love the new ending! Luffy jumps out of the book for those who didn't notice.
The collage at the end btw isnt scenes from the whole series, its all of the important moments from this arc "wano" its been the longest arc in the anime and the end of a 10 year plot point. The collage really hits hard knowing we are wrapping one of the most iconic arcs in not just one piece but anime in general
In one piece if you die you die you will never come back oda said it himself that he hates when they do that just don’t kill them on the first place
The situation in my country is kinda similar to the latest arc, so opening 25 really hits me harder than the other

As a one piece fan the opening made me emotional
just love how she noticed that the dragon turned into a person in that small image, but not when the person transformed into the dragon in the past like 2 or 3 openings lol.
5:36 the main theme of this show is actually about freedom. There are a lot stuff like government conspiracy, corruption, dictatorship, slavery, etc.

"One Piece vs Dragonball" The manga authors of both did actually draw a little one shot crossover between both series.
I think the thing with Luffy is he does punches, and in certain ways, Lyse is very much like Luffy, including wearing red
basically after this arc the final saga of one piece begins
7:18 no way she said new character 😂😂 man your funny😂
Luffy- Barbarian (Path of Berserker, Unarmed Focus) Zoro- Fighter (Champion) Nami- Rogue/Cleric (Thief/Tempest Domain/Worships God of Berry) Usopp- Ranger/Druid/Artificer (Hunter/Circle of Land/Artillerist) Sanji- Paladin (Oath of protecting women, never wasting food, and never using his hands to fight) Chopper- Druid/Cleric (Circle of Moon/Life Domain/Worships Cotton Candy) Robin- Wizard/Rogue/Bard (School of Conjuration/Assassin/College of Lore) Franky- Artificer (Armorer) Brook- Bard (College of Swords) Jinbe- Monk (Way of the Open Hand)
Its not Power of Friendship, but rather dreams and realizing those dreams together. Also that is mentioned else where here, found family. The Pillars of One Piece is Humour, Tragedy, Conspiracy/History, Liberation and Action. This is a show that will make you cry multiple times in pretty much every arc and you only get that gut punch by watching it from the start.
Yeah the last opening is basically a goodbye to wano arc which started in 2019 and finally ending after some 10 episodes
Starting with the Live Action is really not a bad idea, even if some parts are better in the anime (like Coco Village) some arcs have shown their age (I'm looking at you Syrup Village) so the live action does a good job in giving you most of the first saga with that modern touch.
Luffy - Monk Zoro - Fighter Sanji - Monk Nami - Wizard Chopper - Cleric Robin - Fighter (spec into grappling) multiclass into Rogue (sneak attack ;p ) Usopp - Ranger Franky - Fighter multiclass into Ranger Jinbe - Fighter multiclass Sorcerer (for the bloodline) Brook - Bard

It's more: "The power of Family ^^"
the collage you saw was for only one arc
its power of will, who told you power of friendship?
luffy is a capitain, a class from valdas spiral of secrets
In D&D Luffy could be categorized as either a Monk or an Unarmed Fighter. Monk for the high mobility, the ability to reflect projectiles, and a resistance to poison, and Specifically a Champion Fighter to get Superior Technique and Martial Adept to get a bit of that Battlemaster fighting style to reflect both of his insane physical abilities and his martial creativity. I've also played around with the idea of Luffy as Charisma based spellcaster, specifically Sorcerer or Warlock to not only simulate his powers, but also how he uses them. Background: Folk Hero (he doesn't call himself a hero, but he's literally done everything in the suggested character traits) Has a Gaming Kit, because it's not only somewhat in character, but it does a vibe check on others and that's Luffy's forte. His starting stats would be something like this: Constitution. 15 Strength. 14 Charisma. 13 Dexterity. 12 Wisdom. 10 Intelligence. 8 Most likely a Variant Human with +2 Dex and +1 Cha, and the Lucky feat. He has proficiency in most wisdom skills except Medicine, which is a slight compromise because he's known to both get lost somewhat easily and can fall for obvious lies and disguises, like you could just draw a mustache on yourself and claim to be your brother and he'll fully believe that lie. There's a lot about Luffy's character under the surface, there's hour long videos dissecting his character, but if you want a simple rubric for how to roleplay Luffy: Don't think, just act/react, do whatever you can to help anyone you consider a friend, put a heavy value on not only your ambition/dream, but the ambitions/dreams of others, approach opponents head-on, but think very creatively in battle, don't start random fights for minor slights, and eat as much meat as possible. His goal is to be king of the pirates, because it's the position of the most freedom, and he loves adventures for the journey and not the destination, so much so that he'll be pissed if you told him the destination, because that would be boring to him.
Luffy is a Monk Zoro is a Barbarian Nami is a Wizard Usopp is a Ranger Sanji is a Paladin Chopper is a Druid Robin is a Rogue Franky is a Eldritch Knight Fighter (or Armorer Artificer) Brook is a Bard Jinbei is a Cleric I feel like you could make an argument for Chopper and Jinbei switching classes but that's just what I feel lol
