In case of Belmere. Nami and Nojiko would have to leave the island because being there was a danger for the village and Bellemere. It was not like in LA, where they were hidden. She knew that and could not lie to arlong.

More than that - Bellemere knew that they would sink the ships to stop people from leaving, so she had the choice of sacrificing herself or forcing her daughters to either die on sinking ships or live abandonned on the island, attempting to dodge and hide from Arlong and his crew for as long as they could. She didn't want that for her girls.

Even if they were hiding like in LA. Arlong wouldn't have believed Bellemere if she said that the plates were for other villagers. Arlong would've searched the house and killed all three

Man, I pray this scene get adapted in the live action, this is one of the reasons me and many other One Piece fans love Luffy, he's similar to many other shonen protagonist in the sense that he's all about nakama, but he really practice what he preaches, he really shows it.

Can't believe I'm watching a v-tuber right now, if anyone asks -- none of you saw me here, ok? That said, One Piece isn't the type of show that can be spoiled imo. Knowing what comes next will not save you from the tears induced by the expressive animation, heartfelt voice acting, and music that pulls at your heartstrings. I still get glassy-eyed when I see the moment where Nami asks Luffy for help in Arlong Park, and I've seen that scene a dozen times. Yes, I'm one of those weirdos who rewatched OP a couple of times lol As a P.S.: it's also hard to spoil a show that's more about the journey than destination, it's fun unraveling mysteries as you go, but even knowing the answers will make you focus on all of the clues that foreshadow them.

The reason she didnt lie is because she understood 2 truths about Arlong others didnt 1, they could not escape, Arlong had fishmen on the water and had already sunk all ships 2, he wont hesitate to kill children That was the only real way to save both Nami and Nojiko

Yes, in the manga Zeff ate his leg. In the anime they included a scene of his leg getting wrapped up in the chain of an anchor under water so he snaps his leg off to save Sanji.

Honestly, I think the only spoiler you can really grasp fully from this is Ace.

The circumstances with Nami and Nojika are not as simple as you may believe, If she didn't tell Arlong about the kids then Belmere would've been forcefully seperated from her children for life, Nami and Nojiko would have to leave the Village to never return, thus cutting off not only their connection to Belmere forever, but also to the rest of the village and their "home" You can say "Yes, but even when seperated for life they can have piece of mind that they're all alive just far far away from each other", but then that would not only make their relationship as good as useless and very depressing but it would also mean that Nami and Nojiko would have to seperate from all of the rest of their family (being the other villagers) for life as well, it would make them WORSE than orphans, so Belmere, even if she wasn't being sentimental and thought rationally, made the best choice

Actually, the reason was slightly clearer in the manga. In a conversation between Gen and the Mayor, I think? They said that with how strong Arlong's crew was, and that since they're fishmen, there was literally no way that 2 kids would've been able to escape the Island. And if they were caught trying to run, Arlong'll probably just kill them off. So at the time, what Bellmere did truly was the only way that Nami and Nojiko could survive.

crazy that there were three separate Toriko crossovers, and also Goku was there for the third one.

No, they barely ever go back to the same place twice. We, the viewers, get to go back every once and while and see some old faces, but not often. The straw hats journey is a straight line for most of the story, always moving to the next island

I'm subbing to see you go through the journey. what I like more than watching one piece is watching other people watch one piece because I've already been through it all, and it's nice watching fresh reactions.

The live action cut out a lot of essential scenes in Arlong Park unfortunately. One being Genzo trying to lie his way for Bellemere while they were escorting the kids... and the other being the truth about their situation as they learn that Arlong destroyed every ship they could've exited out of. They also cut a scene showing Arlong destroying a Marine vessel that was in fact going to try and help them. There's another huge difference with how Genzo and Nojiko act towards Nami, but I feel that one is okay to be different enough since it's more a twist for new watchers/readers of the series itself.

Not only did they choose the perfect scene almost every time, they also chose the perfect music. Awesome.

Idk about the manga or the live action but in the anime, during Arlong park arc, they stated that Arlong’s crew sunk all the ships on the Island. So even if Bellemere would have lied to protect herself, Nojiko and Nami wouldn’t have been able to leave the Island.

4:06 here's a fun fact! this was the first scene i'd seen of one piece. i'd walked in on this on the tv when my brother was watching it, and i was SHOCKED. for one, i was upset his name was pronounced looffy and not luffy, LMAO. but, two and most importantly, this felt like something i had never seen before in my life. i was hooked that a main character would go to these lengths for his friends. i was also shocked that such a cutesy-looking art style could depict a scene so brutal yet incredible. i then knew i had to watch this anime. i then knew i was wrong about it being just another shonen anime. i even sat down and finished the episode with my brother. my brother told me how i, "might be getting the wrong impression of it because it's usually so happy," but man, that just made me even more invested

This was hype, they did a perfect job picking which scenes to use

Filler that I spotted that you could skip are; 55-60 (technically 54 & 61 can be skipped, but they have cannon story related sections to them at the beginning part of 54, and most of 61), 98 & 99 (no substance filler episodes), 101, 207-219 & 225 (these episodes have the most hatable group in the entire series that are only cannon in the manga for the first encounter, but are all filler that the anime decided to increase the amount of), 279-280 & 282-283 & 291-292 & 303 (first examples of fillers that cut into a currently running arc), 336, 282-283 (the third encounter of the most hatable group in the series), 406-407, 426-429 (429 might be a part of the main arc running, because that character has some relation to the involved location, but that character only makes a proper appearance during their movie), 492, 542, 575-578, 590, 626-628, 747-750, 781-782, 895-896 & 1029-1030 (another case of filler cutting into the main running arc). I may have missed some filler that can be skipped for one reason or another, but that was all I caught and commented on (the bracketed statements, and the related episodes being contained within the same set of commas). Weather you decide to skip these episodes is entirely your choice at the end of the day.

Bellemere wasnt going to be able to pay even for just herself, she was scraping by as is, she had a month or two at best and that broken arm she suffered was like a nail in the coffin. she KNEW that she was going to die and she figured, "if i'm gonna die, then i'm dying as their mom, not as some liar." dont get me wrong, i know what you're saying Dipper, and i'm not arguing that, just arguing that she knew that her time was short. anyways, with Nami in the Fishmen Pirates, she was able to pay for her sister to live and beyond that it all worked out.

No you are wrong because Toei has always created an episode for every chapter of the manga, the sensation that there is more stuff in the pre-time skip is because in the first half of the series there are more small story arc as compared as the second half there are fewer but longer one. P.s in the first half there are also filler story arc and more filler episode as compared as the second half

There are cross overs, the blue haired guy with goku and luffy that you asked jojo is from a different shounen series called Toriko, it’s very “eat and get stronger” shounen. In the grand line islands don’t share one specific season to them. You’ve got some that are in perpetual winter, others in perpetual summer, etc. Something I personally love about one piece is the world doesn’t stop moving just cause we are focused on the straw hats, even as we follow the stuff they do the other parts of the world keep doing there thing and occasionally we get glimpses into those events particularly in the manga through little single image snippets of cover page stories.

Also watching this show if you are doing once a week then please instead do a few episodes a week (3-4 depending on your schedule) cause while this show is an absolute blast fact of the matter is it’s a very long one and one episode a week will take you years to get through

It's fine, i'm the same way. This is basically a preview for what's to come (for those who dont get it) like a movie trailer. 1 second from every episode also doesnt reveal anything major when you dont know what's happening. Once you do though this entire vid will be a different experience

I've been rewatching One Piece, keeping track of Sanji's recipes he makes or mentions. Here's the East Blue Saga to start. A clear brown soup that took 3 days to cook skimming the scum, most likely a type of consomme. It does take a while to make but 3 days is a bit extra, do it for 3 hours. Fruit Macedonia. Seafood Fried Rice. A big rice bowl to Don Krieg. Seasoned Bean Sprouts. Meat on a bone. Octopus, add olive oil and paprika? A buttered frying pan to make a sting ray meuniere? Grilled Fish? (Vs Carmen) Ep 51 Seared Steak? (Vs Carmen) Alternatively, each member has their own favorite food and least favorite food, which Sanji likely makes the most often. The least favorite food can give you an idea of how they want their foods.

If you're still not convinced you can check the fan made "The Story of One Piece(30 minutes)." It's the One piece story pre time skip condensed in 30 minutes, it's spoiler heavy but since you don't really mind I recommend it. There's also the appeal of one piece by Super eyepatch wolf.

I love this compilation but only downside sadly is that its so hard to make compilations like this without spoiling so many moments for those who have not seen it. The episodes will not hit as hard or be exiting when you know from the start that something is going to happen to or with x or y...

1:30 You are not wrong. In the anime they made it sp that Zeffs leg got stuck while swimming so he cut it off to survive, but in the manga and live action Zeff did cut off his leg and ate it to survive.

ive regretted watching the 1 second/1000 ep video since it came out. if you think about anything in the video too much, almost every clip can be massive spoilers. "um actually, there are filler episodes in there, so not EVERY clip can be spoilers"

One piece world has all island with one of the 4 environment. the envionment of that island never changes..

I would definitely go on the journey with you once you decide to watch the amazing journey of one piece.

You can skip fillers but the funniest and most wholesome moments are there. I was personally skipping the full filler episodes but I watch all half canon and half filler episodes. The only fillers I don't skip are G8 arcs and Episode 384 aka MUST WATCH Brook episode. It's not until I catch up to episode 900 that I watch all fillers cause I didn't have any OP episodes to watch at the time.

The Strawhats don't revisit towns and islands much, their journey doesn't afford them that luxury. We as viewers do sometimes get a glimpse at how things are going, though.

Yeah, Luffy and Goku have had a crossover episode before. The Blue haired guy is Toriko, he has his own battle manga too! Of all the Shonen Jump protagonists, it makes sense to have crossover episodes between the 3 series. All 3 main characters love to eat delicious food! Btw, Toriko is like if you took DBZ, but set it in a world similar to Hunter x Hunter, but fuse in Food Wars as well. 1 DBZ & Toriko Crossover Episode, and 2 Toriko Episodes. (492, 542, 590)

Next you have to see episode 1

Ah, one advice that pretty much everyone will agree with, if you want to get into One Piece but don't know if you will like it or not, watch the Movie 6 it doesn't spoil anything, it doesn't need previous knowledge to be enjoyed and it is a perfect example of what to expect from the rest of the series, Movie 6 is a great starting point to dip your feet and see if it's your thing or not. It's also just a great movie, like not just a great animated movie, it's just a GREAT movie period

There's another version of "1 Second From Every Episode Of One Piece..So Far", made by Mushrooman, which is basically bunch of random, mostly funny moments without a context.

I remember you saying that you wanted to this channel not to only have fun and to do what you want but to also be successful in business. I think that one piece is great to do such a thing. Ofc ofc we have to prevent our selves from going and binging 12 episodes (somewhat equivalent to 4 episode in the one piece live action) If you start now you’ll be able to reach a pretty cool upcoming arc in the future. We’ll it depends on your pace. Great one piece fandom who will watch. Just gotta clickbait them haha. Anyways it’s cool to see more and more vtubers reacting to one piece.
