As a retired child therapist, any child that identifies as an animal needs an assessment for cognitive issues, emotional issues, behavioral issues, mental health trauma - a psychological assessment, individual therapy, and family counseling. Any adult (parent, teacher, therapist) that validates a child identifying as an animal is woke and is psychologically abusing the child.

Does anyone remember Mrs. Piggle Wiggle? It was a book series of an older woman who the various neighborhood children loved to visit with because she's kind and unique. Each story followed a family trying to figure out a problem with one or more child. Some stories involved one child never wanting to bathe or one child wanting to eat very little. Mrs. Piggle Wiggle came up with very clever ideas on how to handle the situations like planting seeds on the child who didn't bathe because he had so much dirt on his skin, which grew into vegetation, and decreasing the sizes of the plates the one child ate on until they became exhausted and couldn't do much of anything. In the end the children stopped whatever nonsense was going on based on the reactions they received and/or how they perceived themselves. For kids saying they're animals (not just playing pretend, but identifying), I can see Mrs. Piggle Wiggle advising the child should be treated like a family pet. Cats don't need cellphones, computers, human toys, human treats, etc.

Yes, sometimes it does. Thanks for sharing, that is really sad. In some cases there could be underlying issues. And that is how it should be treated or addressed, as a result of trauma, a mental health issue. Address the underlying cause for healing to happen. Affirming “symptoms” just masks the trauma.

Any person wanting to be a cat at 12 years old is showing some definite mental issues. If I was that person's parent, the child would be seeing a psychiatrist.

Not 3? At what age does it become unacceptable

My 6 y/o son has been dressing as a pirate. He started dressing as a pirate at age 2 during Halloween and he gradually started doing more pirate things. That’s when we knew. He’s started dressing like a pirate all the time, talking like a pirate, has an affinity to talking parrots, and also has told my wife and I that in fact he is a pirate. His neo pronouns are “pirate” and “pirate-self.” So we’ve started affirming his identity at home and have found a caring school where the teachers also affirm his identity. A place where they use his pronouns and where he can dress as a pirate in a safe space outside of our home. It’s so wonderful to have so many adults affirm his identity. It takes a village right? Part of his identity affirming care is daily intake of rum, anabolic steroids, and soon surgery. We are in the search of surgeons to take out one of his eyes, cut off a hand, and one of his legs so he can appear like a pirate with an eye patch, hook hand, and a peg leg. I am told by his crack medical team if we don’t allow this affirming reassignment surgery he could become depressed and hurt himself. They told us, “Would you rather have a living pirate son or a dead son?” That really hit home with us so we’ve opted for identity affirming life saving surgery. Story sound familiar?

I can say that you are a very bad parent. YOU screwed up.

I am a retired public school teacher who took the earliest possible "golden handshake" retirement ticket out. The vast majority of parents are totally clueless as to the insanity that has increasingly taken over the schools. It's not just isolated teacher-specific incidents, it's top-down, administrator-led insanity. Teachers are not allowed to send disruptive students to the office or if they do, the student is sent back minutes later with zero consequences. Parents are not called, the teacher is just supposed to deal with it. I'm thinking of one specific student who would lay on the floor of the classroom, make noise, and kick other students and the teacher is expected to enhance the little brat's "self esteem" with comments like, "You know Billy, you are a bright boy. You are so much better than this." And all the while the little miscreant is receiving attention while the other students are being robbed of an education. And these out of control kids are not totally stupid. They know when praise is real and when its phony and mandated. Self esteem happens when a child succeeds at something because they did their very best. Don't feel too sorry for the teachers though. More and more of them are robbing children in their own way as they comply with the system and focus on woke indoctrination.

When I was a kid in the 50s in elementary school, we respected our teachers and especially the principal. The worst thing for misbehavior was to be sent to the principal's office. And we expected to get our stripes for any wrongdoing. And nobody died but surely got the message.

Could only only do 10 years before I got out. My last school accepted severely mentally challenged students and they were in the classroom all day. Well they want to play all day, not sit at a desk or read a book. He was larger than my other students and starting shoving desks and throwing chairs. I told my students to tell their parents.

What a shame it had to end with Piers likening the potential grooming of a child, to meeting a marriage partner at work. This whole 'agenda' has one aim and that is the sexualisation of children. It started with arguing for children to have the 'right' to decide if they are a boy or a girl and then go on to receive 'treatment', with or in some cases without parental consent. Look at what they are now including in Sex Education and I think you will see that todays children are being groomed, with the ultimate goal to lower the age of 'consent'.

Had a teacher friend tell me that someone in their class identified as a dog and would bark and interrupt the class. He talked to her and her parents numerous times and the parents were fine with how their daughter identified. He got the board to not allow her in the school because school was meant for humans and that she was a dog. The parents didn't like that idea that they would have to pay for a dog sitter while they were at work. Snuffed that situation.

If you were told that eventually the end times were coming all your life, and what is equated to sin and damnation is a lot to do if there was an apocalypse, if the few remaining were all homosexual than that would simplly be the end of the human race, and that is why they would not like homosexuality? Look at the Mormons, they went the full blown opposite way and had tons of wives / kids because they too were taught that it would be the end of their ways for a long while (which is mostly true, actually and for a lot of relatively new religions they do die out without some sort of way to massively get new members). But lets face it, there are new cults/religions all the time that try to replace the old. Then the bigotry flips, which is why you refer to them as ‘religious nuts’ and a ‘fictional book’. Not saying I disagree with you, I think the only usage of a religion is for a community, which you can accomplish better I think by just having a more urban tribal community rather than creating small groups within the area all belonging to different religions so they clash. But calling people homophobic or transphobic or religious nuts gets us nowhere. It is basically the same as them calling names and damning people for their ‘sins’. Simply put, find common ground and be nicer to each other?

Apparently, you didn't fully understand what she means. Here message was "nothing to it," which is nonsense. Order needs to be established in a classroom -- especially with often unruly children. That is why schools can have dress codes, and even uniforms. It's also why religious & political symbols, and other provocative things are often banned. The students aren't there to "express themselves" with no limits. The students aren't paying attention to the teacher while they're buzzing about the cat kid.

There is a highschool right nextdoor to me, they put litter boxes in the bathrooms. I personally know multiple people including teachers and students who confirmed this happened. So when people want to say "that stuff isn't really happening" it is actually happening. And it's happening right in your backyard

Preventing others from learning

I'm an Educator of a few decades. At our high school one of my 15-year-old students identified as a cat. As cats don't like water, she was banned from the pool. Another teacher bought her a tin of cat food instead of the cupcakes the rest got in their class party. The cat girl cried in protest at been given cat food. It was bought with thought, being the most expensive brand of salmon cat food. She still was not grateful for that or the small cat basket we provided her, instead of a bean bag. We did try to accommodate her needs, and strangely enough by the end of the term, the student decided to be identified as a human.

There are schools in this county where the parent demanded they put a litter pan in the bathrooms for their child. Who is paying for that, the litter, and who will clean them? Janitors don't get paid to clean human waste. It is a medical risk. But it's what the parents demanded.

Uhm yes!!!! If a child is not guided and adults don't set boundaries, it will give them a sense of unsafety.. Since adult responsabilities are too much for children to bare, so having to make the decisions increases fear.. "If I can control the adult, the adult can not guide or protect me".. Parents need to be in control for kids to even have a *healthy development* , let alone a future.. *SAFETY IS A BASIC RIGHT OF CHILDREN* and a fundamental *building stone* in a child's (healthy) development.. Here’s the crazy, in the United States (not sure if other countries do this) we require children to receive signature approval from parents to go on a school field trip. But somehow it’s okay for children to self consent to sex changes.

when I was 14 (back in 1998) I wanted my nose pierced..my mom had to jump through hoops including going to a local notary to sign off on it to give that paper to the tattoo shop. for a tiny hole in my nose that could close up any time I didn't wear an earring.

Douglas Murray is absolutely spot on. I was one of the Americans who supported gay marriage, and I still do. But I am starting to question my support. The number of children who are "identifying" as something other than their biological sex is growing at an alarming rate. It is not "one or two" as Ava stated, it is very large and growing.

I’m in my 20s and I’m an openly proud exclusively gay man and I have absolutely nothing in common with alphabet people who are some of the most dogmatic homophobic group of all people I’ve ever met. Kids straying too far into nonsense, or who develop inadequate social skills, inevitably receive grief from their peers. Alongside frank support from their loved ones, this helps those kids to cease and desist their odd behaviours and to work out where they're going wrong. A society cannot function with adults who cannot function themselves. Kids who aren't corrected, or don't correct themselves, become functionless adults who provide nothing to society.

@@OhhBiscuits I remember being in school and had to go to special classes trying to teach me social skills. I could never really apply it because it seemed so forced and artificial. For example, I learned that when someone asks, "How are you?", I'm supposed to ask them how they are, as if I care. Eh, I know that I'm a functionless adult who provides nothing to society.

Ikr. I'm 31, was in uni 10 years ago and literally no one talked about or even ever mentioned this stuff. The terms were transvestite and transexual and no one cared that they existed but also didn't spout that it was natural. It's a generation raised on social media, smart phones weren't really about or even that smart till I was already in my late teens.
