Vedanta refers to teachings in mandukyopanishad. vedicheritage.gov.in/upanishads/mandukyopanishad/ might be what you're looking for. In its essence, sound/mantra of OM itself represents the eternal consciousness I actually are.

Perfect enlightenment is to experience "OM". This is accomplished by following the ancient teaching..."One who does the headstand 3 hours a day will surely attain enlightenment ". It's not a coincidence that the Cross is a perfect headstand prop. We can find artwork of the Buddha on you-tube using a tree branch as a headstand prop. The "sons of thunder" ...Peter,James and John were nicknamed this because that is what the "experience of OM" can be likened to..."I heard as it were the noise of thunder saying" - Revelations John the writer was one of the "sons of thunder". I believe the ANKE in Egypt was used as a headstand prop. Eventually the crown chakra will open up and "OM" will be experienced wherein we will reiterate 3 simple one syllable words spoken by Sawmi Vivekananda..."OM is God". That is to say OM is God who said "let there be light". It can also be said that the soul is OM. It, like Moses said "God has no shape or form" , has no shape or form. The soul therefore should not be called a "body" since it has no shape or form.

@@juliamariaseemann OM is the mantra of OM. OM knows when one is chanting OM.
