There is carbs in vegetables, so you should say your carbs come from vegetables. If you eat fruit there is carbs and fructose in them. I never say I don’t eat carbs because I do eat carbs, but very low carbs. I am more a meat eater then anything else. Just had bloodwork and my triglycerides were 30. Best ever. My liver panel was great also. I do eat very little sugar, which is normally Coconut sugar, or keto sweeteners, which I try not to eat much of it. I’m happy with my body because I’m losing the inflammation that was in my body. Happy you are doing great with your journey.

I’m your age and just started to modify my diet having decided to lose weight and get strong and healthy. Rather than no carbs I stopped many of them eg bread, sweet fruits, chocolate, desserts, fruit juices and milk but I eat a small portion of white rice daily with meat, vegetables, eggs and yoghurt and most importantly I stopped snacking between main meals. I think the intermittent fasting is also really important. Early days yet but I’m over the withdrawals and the satisfying fatty meat dishes that I love along with lots of tea and water helped close out the sugar cravings. I still plan to allow for cheat meals and occasional beer but it’s an exercise in moderation and discipline having learnt to appreciate the importance of the lifestyle change. Sten’s videos have been incredibly helpful!

Thanks for that. Exactly what I was looking for. A half a pound every week or two pounds monthly. Perfect. Slow but doable. I don't want to completely stop or really can't. I take honey daily because since I became 60 (65 now) I have pee issues😢. So I take a couple tablespoons of honey daily. No issues until I stop. So I have to be able to keep honey in my daily diet. So zero to low sugar for me. Medicine is truly our healing miracle path to health. Heres to alternative health vs western medicine

I cut out sugar around March as part of intermittent fasting and exercise and took off 25 pounds. Last month I had my teeth cleaned (every six months). My dental health is good with minor inflammation. For years and years, the hygienist always started with manual work then would switch to the ultrasonic which would take about a half hour. This time the hygienist noted that I had NO inflammation at all and started the manual cleaning. In less than 10 minutes she asked me what flavor polish I wanted. She said my teeth and gums were in great shape and no other cleaning was necessary. I'm 68 years old btw.

I've just come back to watching this channel after slipping into a depressed funk over the past 18 months. At start of pandemic I was 130lb at a height of 5'5". I was a healthy and happy mid 40's woman. I did IF and followed Dr Ekbergs advice. It worked. Then over time since covid, life slowly turned upside down and I slipped into comfort eating just as described here. I've gained around 30lbs and gone up 2 dress sizes. Everything Dr Ekberg has said in this video is spot on! I'm back again watching the channel at the start of my recovery journey. I'm on day 3 of no sugar. I have hope again and already feeling better! Looking forward to fitting into all the wonderful clothes in the wardrobe waiting for me, and feeling less bloated, lighter and fitter....I can't wait!! Good luck to anyone starting out with this lifestyle and eating change, I've done it before so I know it works! Thank you Dr Ekberg 💪🙌

if you ever read this response: you can have sweetener, HOWEVER, there's an ingredient that you ALWAYS must look before buy: sodium cyclamate.... if the sweetener have it, DON'T BUY IT! ALWAYS LOOK for that ingredient before ingesting on restaurants, cafes, or buying on a grocery store... but careful, your tastebuds will be sensitive to sweet, so, you may have to start consuming sweet again slowly, so you don't overwhelm your taste buds and think it's too sweet hahaha... now, speaking about sweeteners (talking of in liquid form), there are 3 kinds: those who are compatible with warm-only temperature, those who are compatible with low-temperature only and those who are compatible with any temperature... unfortunately, there's no way to discern this, only by trying each one of them until you find the perfect sweetener: WITH NO SODIUM CYCLAMATE AND COMPATIBLE WITH BOTH WARM AND COLD TEMPERATURES... HOWEVER tho, i've seen that sweeteners (always talking in liquid form) that are no compatible with warm temperature, TAINTS the milked coffee with a whiter color, like it's not suposed to be there, another thing that i've witnessed is that if a sweetener it's too bland (or not too concentrated), it can modify the texture of what you're cooking or increase the liquid volume on your cup (it happened to me several times, and i had to look for a new brand, etc., it's a tedious process but i'm a sweet tooth hahaha). also, stevia sweeteners in liquid form usually don't come with the ingredient i just talked about, but always look at the ingredient table. another thing before leaving you (which is my case for being a sweet tooth xD ): IF i ever go out to have a coffee (which i don't because i also avoid sugar like the plague hahahah and sweeteners on those places also don't help), i'd have either a black coffee without sugar (which i still can't get use to) or a regular one with plain sugar. try not to use sweetener in powder form at home. i truly hope that these tips helps you out to find a new way to enjoy a sweet treat and coffee without the worries of the sugar intake, and also, a more fulfilling snack/coffee i apologize for such a long post, it was the only way to explain everything and leaving you the best of an advice :D thank you for your time!

UPDATE: 2 months in. 210 lbs!! BP used to be 150/100. Went to doctor yesterday for check up. 127/85. I have boundless energy and no longer feel hungry. Biggest surprise: I get full very quickly on OMAD. Sleeping well. People are telling me "You look so good". Not just weight loss, but skin too (surprised me). The key thing I am learning is that the body adjusts. We just have to give it a chance. This journey will only get better. Please ask questions, I will gladly answer them.

According to my doctor my tests show that I have “great numbers”. Only thing found is high LDL. I keep going back because something is wrong. After dead ends and a lot of wasted time I went on this no sugar or alcohol/low carb/intermittent fasting now for 3 weeks. My pain is decreasing and I have had about half of those days without that weird urine smell. I am not a doctor but this is obviously changing my scenario for the better. ngl takes a lot of will and resolve the first few weeks but after you're done with cravings and withdrawals you coast and feel great. You can ease up back into things you like without overdoing it, just watching out not to teach your brain to become addicted again 😅 I quit sugar back in October last year, immediately noticed the weight loss and most importantly my depression went away, never being in a better mood than throughout this year. I've eased up into things that I like, like the occasional burger every couple months, no fast food, only craft tho, and coffee only black with no sugar, and this was the hardest because I used to only have those macchio-frappa-crappaccino sugar bombs all the time.

I've only been off sugar 5 days and I already notice several changes. One being the way "hunger" has been modified. I do 16-20 hour fasts almost daily and I'm used to feeling serious hunger prior to my eating. Now is a little different and hard to describe but it's like this: I still "feel" that I am hungry when my fast is over (empty stomach, hormones signalling time to eat, etc.), but they don't "compel" me to eat. I can ignore them and not trip off it. These feelings are still real and they are there but its like I don't really care or don't feel like listening to them. In a way, it's subtle but in a way it's very powerful.

I'm about 11:36 into the video and I noticed he didn't mention this but just for those of you who are curious... When you decrease the amount of sugar you intake, especially the simple sugars; your body will create less prolactin. Prolactin is one of the many things that will create a breeding ground of anxiety within a person. So find ways to decrease prolactin and that will help you tremendously!

@@kimberlyjameson7236 it’s especially important for females in my opinion seeing as the estrogen you as a female produce is more than a man generally speaking. And excess estrogen is horrible. It makes you lethargic, lazy, unmotivated, produces an insane amount of anxiety and a feeling of being scared and not grounded as well as not being able to utilize your mind and brain to full capacity due to excess amount of anything really. So anything that increases it past a healthy level for you as a woman will only ever be to your detriment. And prolactin just compounds on top of it. Soy products also contain estrogen. There is so much information out there that if you look it up and apply the correct info to your life and live it, you’ll be revitalized and accomplish anything you set your mind to. You just need to reach a point where it matters enough for you to do it. It’s like a smoker. You can’t quit unless you decide to and no one can do it for you. Good luck to you and your endeavors! Be well and may God bless the path ahead of you. And if you’re open to this, try to detox from dopamine and let your dopamine receptors heal and reset. Thank you so much for your INSPIRATIONAL channel. I stumbled over your channel just a few days ago, by accident or chance. No matter what, I’m glad I did. I’ve seen several of your videos now and what you speak of feels so logical. Thank you. I wish I lived in USA so I could book a session or as many as it would take at your clinic. The job you’ve put down making your videos must be massive. I am soooo impressed. From the bottom of my heart I say thank you. 🙏 You’ve inspired me to take control over my own life, not for anyone else but myself. For my own health benefits, because no one but myself can make it for me. I’m sorry if my grammar or word of choice in English isn’t perfect, English is not my first language. If you don’t mind I continue in Swedish. Tack och åter tack. Vilken insats. Räkna kalorier i all ära.

Was medicated by choice because of ADHD for years, and also for depression caused by those medication. Was experiencing the lowest point on my life because of cognitive decline and weight gain(probably because of insulin resistance and medication overuse). After watching this video, I decided to take my life and health in my own hands. Started to do intermitted fasting and Prolong fasting, then low carb and keto, and then resistance training. Long story short, feeling better than ever, both physically and mentally, packing much more muscle and sharper mind than ever before without the medications.
