I drink lemon water every day. A good bit. I use an organic bottled pure lemon juice. I only drink water, brewed coffee and brewed tea (with no milk or sweeteners). In fact, I don't use sugar or honey, or any other sweetener, at all. I am pescatarian, but will occasionally eat meat when I am out. Most days I eat vegetarian. I also cut out all wheat and other gluten containing foods. I sometimes eat lentils. I also eat no processed foods. I lost weight (from 200lbs to 155lbs). I didn't track how long it took me. I was not long, though. I do not follow the intermittent fasting, but only eat two meals a day and one snack (usually feta cheese and olives). I don't eat the snack every day. As a result, my blood pressure is down, my joints don't crack and my poops are good. This has lasted about six years now. I am in my late 60s and my body is back to where I was in my late 20s. I did all this before discovering your channel. I like the detailed information you give, and it helps me pick foods that contribute to my well being. Thanks.

I had 3 separate kidney stone attacks in a 6-month period (each VERY painful). I had changed my diet as recommended by urologist but continued to have attacks. CT scan showed more small stones and one large stone still in the kidney. The last time I went to the urologist, I was seen by the "old" (near retirement) practitioner that told me to put a squirt of lemon juice in my water every time I drank water. Since I travel a lot, carrying liquid lemon juice with me was impractical. I found some lemon crystal packets (available from Amazon) and put a packet of granules in each of my drinks. I did that for 3 months. The week following the third month, I passed 2 small stones. The next week after that, I passed 2 more stones. The third week after, I passed a large stone (all of these were painless passings). I keep lemon crystals with me no matter where I go and will continue to use them for the rest of my life (I am 72).

I recently subscribed to your channel after my wife and I began a high protein, low carb, no sugar diet two months ago. Your point about one healthy lifestyle change -such as drinking water with lemon - leading to another is spot on. Since starting our diet we have lost our craving for sugar, ramped up the frequency of our workouts and increased our craving for dietary knowledge.... thus prompting us to begin watching your videos. Although we were not in poor health to start with as measured by our blood tests, we have each lost about 10 pounds or approximately one pound per week. So we feel better and look better. It surer would be good if the information you share could be the basis of mandatory classes taught to school children, and form the basis of conversations we all have with our physicians. Why is it that never in my life have I had a doctor say to me, "You stepped on our scale and your weight is XX pounds more than the ideal for a man of your body type, height and age. Since body weight is the number one indicator as to whether you are treating your body in a healthy manner, we are going to discuss how you are going to achieve your appropriate weight and stay there before your next annual physical. After this we will determine whether any other health concerns you have require medication." A conversation such as this would actually be health care, instead of symptom treatment. In any event, your presentations are educational, humorous and motivating. Keep up the great work!

@@dakotahays2836 Beginning 50 years ago, I became aware of that! Since then I have found articles on rockefeller and how his point in building hospitals and hiring doctors was to build wealth. He wanted to turn his oil profits into pills. So now I hear holistic doctors saying that all pills hurt the kidneys and liver. YET even Dr. Ekberg will say we might need to take our medications, which means to me that he is catering to those allopathic doctors who make lots of money from pills. Sometimes Ekberg says words that tell me that he might be catering to someone else's ideas. He says our bodies are exceptional machines able to heal themselves. I have read this in many books and learned to heal myself really fast several years ago. He needs to stay committed to these words.

After focusing on eating ketovore and making sure I was getting enough potassium, magnesium, and sodium, for two months, my night time leg cramps/pain persisted. I then read that low c can cause this problem too. I started with a half squeezed lemon water twice a day and it's working! It only took two days to notice a huge reduction in the nighttime "problem". I'm over a week in now and it's holding. Note: many suggest using a straw and to rinse with water after drinking the lemon water, to protect tooth enamel.

Putting sliced lemon in water will not give you the most benefit, blending the whole lemon as the peel and pith has a lot of nutrients, it taste horrible but has a lot of benefits, just add a bit of honey.

Where to you get your arthritis? And do you have a diagnosis of the type /cause? You and I are very similar in age and size, and for me it's gout arthritis from elevated uric acid. I typically get it in my big toe or along the bottom of my foot. When it gets worse, it hits my ankle. Hurts like crazy man, I randomly wake up with the kind of pain like I'm an And1 Mix Tape star with a high ankle sprain.

Thanks, doc! I appreciate the advice and the common sense that your channels provide me and many others. It's a breath of fresh air in a foggy miasma of misinformation and bad content on YT! Intermittent fasting is something that I've heard of but never practiced. I've always craved a late-night snack mere hours before sleeping. The snack of choice was typically buttered popcorn or chips with a carbonated sugar-free soda while watching a movie. Sometimes it was milk and cookies or ice cream. I never thought twice about it in my 74 years! That's also why I became 40 pounds overweight and a T2 diabetic with high blood pressure! Six weeks ago, I started a Keto diet. After restricting carbs, I honestly don't find it hard to resist eating four or five hours before I go to sleep. I don't even think about it now as not snacking has become a habit. I admit to cheating once in a while, though, I'm only human. But, the late-nightly craving to eat something is gone.

It is not just stabilizing but lowering blood suger as i noticed when wearing the continuous glucose monitor. The reduction was quite pronounced but only when there were no interfering variables. Nevertheless, i started to drink the lime juice just because of that, i do it twice daily, a juice of one lime with about 250 gr carbonated water or plain water when fasting.

@@kristinabruk8422 I have been drinking black tea/green tea/herbal tea/water constantly for many years, they dont make a difference either with or without lemon added. But lime juice does, probably lemon juice as well. It is interesting that initially it was very sour, I had to dilute it quite a bit. Now I have noticed I am adding less water and also drink it kind of recreationally, i.e. without special effort, simply to accompany meal sometimes. Anyway, I had very serious Covid condition and I had been given a huge amount of some hormones in hospital which totally wrecked my blood sugar. And then they started to inject insulin for both long and short term variety. Sorry, I am not a doctor to remember all the labels. Anyway, I was assured I need to continue this forever when discharged but I did not agree. Initially yes, but about 6 months later I stopped taking Prednisolon and then stopped injecting myself, going for a fast instead (I have been doing this for some 20 years pretty regularly). Now I am two months drugs free and quite happy with myself. Some part of it, I trust, is also because drinking lime juice, though of course regular exercise, low carbs diet, intermittent fasting etc all play a role.

I would be careful, I just looked up lemons and the first one I came to said each lemon had 20 total carbs with a net of 10 carbs. I see varying opinions on whether to have less than 20 total carbs or net carbs per day on keto, but, that would limit you to a maximum of 2 lemons per day best case. Edit: forgot to thank Dr. Ekberg.

Two weeks later I started following the AIP diet to fast-track gut healing by eliminating as many inflammatory triggering foods as possible, immediately taking me back to cooking foods from whole ingredients. I’ve always been energetic, but I also restructured my days to allow a more formalized and responsible fitness regimen. Three months in and I’m down 30 pounds and feel better physically and emotionally than I believe I have ever felt in my 69 years on this planet. Lemon water came into my eating plan a month back, mostly to offset the potential kidney-damaging effects of higher doses of turmeric, which I also added into my plan, along with Apple Cider Vinegar and ginger paste. At long last, I’m just a few pounds away from no longer being overweight. I started in the range of being obese. It took me most of my adult life to make the jump. Be smarter than I was and don’t wait that long. Lol! You too deserve to grow older with a happy and healthy gut. 🤗

From my experience, eat healthy (vegetables with some quality meat, fruits, nuts etc.), do intermittent fasting (find which one works for you, 16-8 shouldn't be too hard for anyone and do some workouts or walks or any physical activity at least 2-3 times a week). Experiment a bit with nutrition, find what works for You.

Seems like a logical, REALISTIC type eating program one could do for years and years without spending 24/7 worrying about all the new health claims and "superfoods". Although I personally go a bit heavier on the meat but its all good.

I’ve been drinking lemon water as my main source of hydration for three years. Typically I drink the equivalent of two lemons or more a day just because I prefer it over well or city water.

Unfortunately lemon acid (and other acids) can permanently dissolve exposed tooth surfaces if exposure time is over the threshold. Concerning signs are: tooth sensitivity, shrinking enamel, translucent grayness around the edges of incisors, and increased incidence of enamel chipping, as well as damage to previous dental repairs. Minimal tooth and acid contact time will help prevent these effects. Consume it quickly in short intervals, and not sip on it all day.😊

Put one tooth in lemon juice & one in fluoride. See which one survives! Won't be the Fluoride tooth. Ha.😆 Lies...do your research.

This is a bit too exaggerated - it is not nearly acidic enough to do it in anything but over years of heavy exposure. If people really are concerned, just use a straw to drink acidic drinks. Bypasses the teeth completely.

My daughter started drinking lemon water every day. She had perfect teeth before this. Went to dentist after this and had 5 cavities! They were mainly surface cavities but still not good. Don’t kid yourself. Be careful with lemons.

It cuts your libido too, but it's very good. It prevents CA. The lime and lemon water good for CA is from Annette. Stop the steal.

I’m drinking warm lemon water with honey 1st thing after I woke up.. I can’t say every morning because my sleeping habit is different everyday.. I squeeze half of lemon to a mug, pour hot water in it then I’m adding a teaspoon of an organic honey.. it energized me all day all night and I don’t even feel hungry, most importantly it has cured my acid reflux. I only get acid reflux from drinking coffee, eating fresh onion, foods which contained tomato paste and tomato sauce.. but I never get acid reflux from eating fresh tomatoes. So I am avoiding those foods that gives me acid reflux.
