    five or six years later....... if i become a pilot, I will be telling my mother and father, there was once this person in KZread named 737NGdriver who helped me with this type rating stuff by making amazing videos....

    The guy is hand flying raw data the whole time on a 737-800 like it's nothing and I'm struggling to shoot an ILS without losing either the LOC or the GS when training in the Seminole. 😅 Thanks so much Emanuel for that amazing video! It's Sure gonna be extremely useful! 🙏

    08:34 - _"One check captain said [...] I'm going to mis and mis and miss a lot of things"_ LOL This reminds me of my CFI check ride back in the day. On the flight briefing the check pilot said, *_"Remember I'm your 'student pilot', so I just might try to kill us both, so stay alert."_* Indeed, he did all kinds of funny stuff take-offs and landings. Even being a check ride it was kind of fun to find the balance between alerting him things like, "watch your airspeed", or "you're veering left", and actually taking control of the airplane from him. This check pilot was a retired Brazilian AF pilot who flew for the AF aerobatics demonstration team, so... some 40 minutes into the flight he turned to me and said: *_"The check ride is officially over, congrats, you passed your CFI check. Would you now be interested in learning a little aerobatics?"_* So the next half hour was him instructing me on loops, rolls, hammerheads.

    35:50 that transition seems to have covered a navigational mistake which I guess you notice! You were tracking dct DUS rather than BAM because you had the bearing 1 pointer still set to ADF rather than VOR. This is the kind of blunder that can happen but the only way out of such a situation is to call out the mistake as soon as you realize it and explain how you’re going to correct it. What they don’t like at all is the candidate trying to sweep it under the rug, pretend it didn’t happen and hope the examiner didn’t notice. Trust me: they do notice!

    Always enjoyed and will always enjoy hand / manual flying any aircraft in MSFS or any other sim (default, freeware, payware, study or half study level) and without really taking the look at any manual (no patience) and I treat them all like a Cessna 152 and obviously I will never have any type rating on anything . It is just too much fun that I carry since FS 3.0 and it made my stick and rudder muscle memory adapt to any refined or awkward flight model. I love doing circuits in virtually anything... Simulators are just great for that type of fun🙂

    When a 737 pilot says that should be acceptable and in the limits, what should I say with 12h PF SIM time on the 737 😂😂😂 nevertheless it’s a great video, hopefully I can perform nearly as good as you to pass the screening.. greetings from Hamburg ✈️

    Hello, can you explain why exactly you need to maintain 180kt during the climbing 180° turn? Why the bank would be excessive you mentioned? Thank you

  • @A330Driver

    @A330Driver

    Жыл бұрын

    Hi, that's because your rate of turn depends on your airspeed. Bank for a standard turn equals TAS/10+7. You don't want to use more than 25° of bank. As you can see 180/10+7 equals 25. Fly faster and you need more bank.

    I am 32 years old and want to become a commercial airline pilot I have one hour of flight time in a single engine Cessna zero ground hours or training but fly simulator daily probably 500 hours on the simulator how do I go about going the professional pilot route or am I too old ? Mind you I’m on a budget for what I can spend in school is their grants or something I can do financially? It’s always been my dream to fly and I’m tired of the security jobs or the warehouse jobs to make it by I’m in the US maybe go back to ups and fly cargo when I’m done with training and experience you or the community’s insight would be greatly appreciated just want to make my daughter proud and someone to look up too

    The one thing that would catch this simmer completely off-guard here is the NDB's! Never though that flying by those would be a required task anywhere in the developed world anymore

  • @chrissyboy129

    @chrissyboy129

    9 ай бұрын

    NDB's are still widely published in SID's and in approach plates, including missed approach procedures like in the video. The challenge here is that you're flying raw data by hand to NDB's and VOR's(for assessment purposes) instead of the autopilot flying the legs imputed in the FMC in Lnav mode like in the real world.

    I've tried to install GSX pro for the las few months. I followed every step on the manual and it just doesn't show up in the game. I've tried to contact support but they haven't replied. I don't know what to do. I think it doesn't create the "symbolic link" to the community folder.
