As an optician/optometrist I do enjoy your content a LOT :) My own brother had MANY dark floaters in one of his eyes (at age 60), which we found out during a retinal screening session at my newly opened optician store. His condition required vitrecromy in the end, as it was just too many floaters to remove otherwise. I am glad the procedure ended up well, even tho I had my worries of course. I am wondering, are there some recommendations "post vitrectomy", that would somehow "help" the eye in the long run? I understand that you can make a perfect assement long distance, yet I am more curious about something in terms of "general recommendations"? :) Thanks a lot if you ever reply to this comment :) Greetings from the Czech Republic, Jan

I have floaters, maybe two, in my right eye ever since I remember. Is it dangerous or is it okay? Also, whenever I wear contact lenses my eyes get quite dry after 3-4 hours so much so that when I take out the lenses they get stuck together. To prevent that I put lens solution in my eyes whenever my eyes start to get dry while wearing the lenses. I wear my lenses rarely, I use glasses in daily life. But is there a solution to this dryness problem and is it okay to put the lens solution in the eyes?

a polite long winded way of saying live with it, as the research to rid them is not economically viable yet in the medical field....someone needs to pay for it.

Could this have started with dry 👀. I’ve had dry eyes on and off for past three years and developed floaters about a year and half ago?

I also had dry eyes and developed floaters it may be the reason, let's take care of the dry eye and see what happens because in many cases the go away completely or the big ones become less noticeable and easier to live with

Good explanation of floaters but your title focuses on cures for floaters but you didn't have any good suggestions. Why even mention lazer or surgical procedures that can make your eyes worse?

Another word for short sightedness, ie needing spectacles to drive and see distances, as opposed to hypermetropia which is long sightedness, where you need eye glasses to read!

The solution is a vitrectomy no way no how. At the beginning its ok to just adapt to it but with time it's worse and worse.

LIQUID MSM WORKS, and is excellent for eye health.

As per 99.9% of these "How To Get Rid Of Eye Floaters" videos. The medical profession always like to pretend they know. Just spreading false hope.
