polk can be listened longer than wharfedales, but both sound amazing, can't say anyone less than the other, they are just different, i prefer polk more.

D320 more detail and rich, Polk more bright on Treble , but look weak and dry.

The Wharfedale still sounds fuller, but the Polk comes closer than most of the other speakers you've compared to the D320. It's still a standout in the under $400 range

While you're doing small bookshelf speakers, I'd love demos on the Q Acoustic 3010i vs the Emotiva Airmotive 1's. Perhaps the Dali Spector 1's and the surprisingly good, budget Micca RB42's, as well. Either way, Thanks guys for nicely done, effective sound comparisons of affordable audio gear✊

They sound pretty close to each other. The polks are definitely brighter though. You'd probably be happy with either based on this video

I feell the Polk S15 is on the lean, bright side of neutral, but they sound a touch more open and transparent in the midrange than the Wharfdales. The Marantz seems nice and smooth sounding.

I like the polk more, the wharfedale has this muffled airy bass unlike the polk its more balance, but both were constructed beautifully

what I find most important is such small speakers is their ability to blend in with a subwoofer and a pair of tower speakers in order to get the full benefit of Dolby atmos listening.

Wharfedale sounds more laid back. I prefer the sound of the Wharfedales.

The D320 should listen without a grills. Without them, there is much better resolution and clarity.

I agree! Why does he have the grilles off on the Polk but on with the D320?

It is impossible to accurately judge a speaker in this manner

for warm sound what are your 3 best pick under 200 usd?

Bass wise, kinda the same. Treble wise, the Polk is brighter but the Wharfedale has enough treble. I would be confused to pick either one. Have always loved the warm sound of Wharfedales but in a HT setup you also want it to be a touch brighter up there. Phew!

It would be if the grills were off.

The Warfedales sounded muffled to me, the Polks had a clarity that the Warfedales didn't have to my ears.

Lower mids on the Wharfdales are recessed, but they are right up front on the Polks. I give the edge to Polks for that reason.

Could you retest this without the grills on D320? They really sound like there's some echo, like I'm sitting in a huge empty hall, weird.

Do you test towers? Since the D320 did really well in your comparisons maybe you can try the D330..

Warfidale sounds more balanced and does not tire. The abundance of high shelf goes beyond.
