This is *EXACTLY* why I have absolutely no problem telling people they failed their exam. Cry all you want, unsafe is being unsafe. There are so many people in this province that are CONVINCED they know how to drive. What they dont realize is they have no clue how to drive *safetly.* I cannot tell you how many people I get to take their road test with this type of frame of mind.

Absolutely, I'm teaching someone to drive right now. And I've told them, I won't let you book your exam until I can feel comfortable knowing you'll be safe. I'm here to teach you and be your support, but when you're driving alone you won't have that and I wouldn't want something to happen to them.

I don’t want to sound racist but a lot of the immigrants don’t know how to drive I’m surprised they even got a license. Before you start bashing me here not saying I’m perfect either but it’s always some Indian guy or some Chinese person that’s driving bad and old people. Again not saying I’m perfect these are just the people I run into that cause all the traffic issues.

Yeah, staring at the sun to look for traffic is not fun, but you can always be safe than sorry. Learned it after a close call (making a right turn on red & oncoming traffic had the sun on their backs at sunrise).

Most likely it's the grey car but would need to see your dash cam video to figure out the speed you were driving. You speed up quite a bit there, looks like 50km+ in rainy conditions. The grey car is at fault but if you were driving above the speed limit it's likely it can be 75/25, 25 going to you or 50/50. But it's also very likely 100% fault would go to the grey car because committed multiple violations that resulted in the collision. Like 3 or 4 violations. There was no traffic there is no reasonable excuse for the car to be doing that. Almost looks like a scam attempt but with enchanced car scams are moot but you have a lot of low down people that are not aware of the enchanced care that completely removes the ability to sue

6:30 Look the truck was at fault, BUT the car had ample time to stop. This 'I'm in the right so I going to keep on going even if it's going to cause an accident' mindset is REALLY prevalent in the lower mainland and it's juvenile.

And good thing the province kept the front plate requirement so there are better chances for victims and witnesses, not just cops, to record plates in any way regardless of technology accessibility, literacy, and savviness. Though the province should revise the front and rear plate requirements to be more like #California's since 2023 (e.g. legalization of vinyl license plates, #licenseplatewrap most notably) so the plates can better suit more vehicles of any value and social status and there would be less excuses from vehicle owners for no front plates.

Okay I could be wrong but at 1:09 I believe I know this person who crashed, they work in the Richmond auto mall literally right beside this highway, and more interestingly enough they’re an insurance agent in the auto mall. And I haven’t seen that car driving around the auto mall in like a month? It could possibly be another person but that particular Mercedes Benz is pretty scarce to see on the road these days, I did see it frequently passing by the auto mall but not anymore and this is probably why 😅

In BC, there is no motor vehicle act, no driver training required, you don't need a license to operate a motor vehicle, you can buy one, just contact ICBC,they will send you one, obviously, all new comers are prioritized.

Wow that was crazy footage

Those motorcyclists may not have collided but the one running the light was visibly skidding on its side by the time they passed by... hope they had some good gear on to protect them since they were obviously not riding with a brain. That bike is probably toast.

I've been gone from Vancouver since 1988. But I remember idiots driving in the shoulder starting in the mid-80-s. Never saw the driving on the wrong side of the street to pass traffic line-ups though.

Richmond... That explains a lot of it...

0:07 - all that work just to stop and end up behind the other car again. Classic. 1:02 - I've encountered that cyclist a few times in Richmond, in fact, twice within half an hour just a few weeks ago. He has zero regard for any rules, goes through red lights, pulls in front of oncoming traffic without batting an eye. 1:09 - Surrey drivers in Richmond. 3:26 - Two Mk5 VW Golf's and one Mk4 in two back to back clips - what are the chances of that?

That move at the 7:00 minute mark is a classic South East Asia driving tactic. In Thailand pretty well everybody does it, it's so bad that basically nobody stops at red lights. Well, except the foreigners, who would get a ticket if they pulled that move.

One thing I notice with a lot of the clips on your channel is a lot of them are from the Tri-Cities area (Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody) is that because of the quality of drivers are worse there, or is it that you know more people from there that send in more clips? Something I've wondered for awhile

Sometimes I wonder how, under strict rules and regulations, people still have a hard time driving correctly. Look at India for contrast: (* it seems ) they have few if any traffic signs or signals, and it looks like a big free - for - all, but they circumnavigate around each other yet somehow they rarely run into each other. Are we missing something here in North America?

With all the horrible drivers out there (e.g. 3:06), good thing #BC kept the front plate requirement. Though #BC should revise the front and rear number plate requirements so it can be very flexible with materials and forms like #California's since 2023 (e.g. legalization of vinyl front license plates and other plate forms under #California's AB 984) to best suit more vehicles of any value and social status. In #BC's case, the province should no longer require the plate's printed vinyl sheets be bonded to metal plates so vehicle owners can mount the sheets however they like including bonding them directly to vehicle bodies. Bonding sheets to metal plates should be upon owner's requests.

Despite being a great radar reflector, not everyone desires Aluminum backing for plates for various reasons. That’s why in my original comment, I propose the province should expand licence plate material and form options while preserving public safety considering drivers like the one at 3:06 and many others. I’m not asking to eliminate the Aluminum backing option, just letting owners decide how to mount the vinyl labels including the option to bond them to Aluminum plates. For example, an Aluminum plate would be more suitable for a used vehicle from a 2-plate province, state, territory, and country that never legalized sticker plates such as an imported used JDM where there would most likely be holes for the front and rear plates. Another example is magnetic flexible plates would be more suitable as dealer plates for customers trialling vehicles. Last example is sticker plates used on newly purchased cars especially high value and social status vehicles such as Teslas, pickup trucks, BMWs, Audis, etc. And plates shouldn’t be limited to radar and meter parking. Other countries outside North America (e.g. #Israel, South #Korea, #Taiwan, etc.) use front plates for gated #parking facilities without ticket dispensers while system is fully compatible with vehicles towing any number of trailers.

Guess some drivers didn't get the memo that BC changed to driving on the right in 1922!!

The problem isn't the big trucks, it's what passes for a driver. It's too easy to get your license and too many of them drive them like they drive their cars.

How was the driver in the SUV supposed to know the intentions of where THAT driver was going to go? For all the driver in the SUV knew, they were probably going to go right but enter it in a very awkward manner. I think if I were a member of the RCMP, I'd put about 75% down to the driver in the Toyota sedan. Yes, the driver in the SUV could have slowed down, but how could they know??

Just today I saw people driving like theyre racing in a race track. 80 in a 60, swerving lanes. like where tf are u guys going

The guy on lougheed using the merge lane is so common in Port Coquitlam, because poco drivers are by FAR the worst drivers in the lower mainland! Im a delivery driver who has to routinely drive through there and they seriously need some road sense!

Hooooly Metro Vancouver is quickly becoming the new Brampton or India??? Sooooo many are driving on the wrong side of the road!!

In such a huge hurry you have to pass people in the middle turn lane so you can let them all pass you again. Yeah....seems smart.

@5:13, the car coming out of the gas station was totally at fault. Cutting across 2 lanes attempting to turn left over the barrier was not a good move.

first infinity driver is a piece of work. they are the type who would drive in the HOV lane solo at 50km/hr just to piss other drivers off.

I've called in approximately 4 people and they have always showed up 🤷‍♂️

I lived in Vancouver BC for about 2 years and the drivers there are the worst I have ever seen. And I'm not just talking about the Asian drivers either. It seems like everyone there drives like an idiot. I live in LA now and trust me I see stupid drivers here too. But nothing like what I saw in Vancouver BC.
