I have so much respect for this man. At the risk of sounding crude, I'm pretty sure he would have no problem finding someone to "mate" with.

I love this analogy and the explanation. I now know why it's fruitless to weigh yourself daily. 2 ounces are not going to show! And it makes me mad that I endured WW for over 2 years and felt like a failure every time I'd go to a meeting and my weight barely budged from week to week. Thank you!

I'd love to hear Dr. Lisle talk about 2 things. The 1st is loose skin vs loose/flabby fat with significant weight loss. The 2nd is how "the fat you eat is the fat you wear " is true from a psychological standpoint (not just the calorie density aspect). Example: how a high fat 1800 calorie diet vs a high carb 1800 calorie diet contributes to fat loss (or lack thereof). Thanks!

Needed to hear this! One month of eating perfectly and i lost 5 lbs! 128 then down to 123(which was surprising since i dont have a significant amount to lose). After that i started weighing myself every day and i was getting annoyed because it was going up and down. Now im going to stick to weighing myself monthly. Thank you guys!! 💓

Thank you so much for this! I really needed to hear this today. I'm definitely a scale monkey 😊 I have been plateaued for 2 and a half month now and I was feeling discouraged today. I just need to focus on the way I eat and how good it makes me feel and trust that the fat is coming off. Thank you again both of you!

First I would like to say that I very much enjoy listening to you and Dr. Lisle and I'm very grateful you both take the time to make this information available to everyone free of charge. You're both great humanitarians. Thank you. I also realize your audience is primarily people trying to maintain a WFPB diet and need to lose weight. I would just like to say that there are many people like myself who are on insulin and need to weigh and measure our food because we need to know how many untils of insulin to inject. I there were a way for us to not have to weigh and measure our food. Thanks for listening.

I admit I am a scale monkey. The one thing I am looking at is any new low weight. I document it and I can see that I lose effortlessly. I do not change how much I eat most days. Whole food, plant based.

How do I know though if I am underweight? My belly tends to be big though my body is relatively thin unless I let myself go a few kilograms below what puts me in normal BMI range, and I do that by just eating as many whole plant foods as I want. If I tried to get above normal BMI, I would probably need to eat some processed foods, and my belly would still be big compared to the rest of my body. Whenever I gain weight, that's the primary place where it goes. Yet when I resolve that through whole plant foods, people tell me I'm too thin and I could end up with cardiac arrest and I have to gain weight and I should not rely on how I look to measure my health.

this is so informative! I thought the 2lbs up and down were due to lack of activity…. and also water. If I eat a high sodium day it takes me about 3 days to lose the water weight….and come back to my normal weight.
