Such a brilliant, funny man...my top weight loss guru. I binge watch his videos. I recommend his "How to lose weight without losing your mind" on his website....so enlightening!!! I wish I'd known about the "pleasure trap" and the "starch solution" and hadn't wasted 50 years following the diet industry's false answers to the weight problem....the blind leading the blind.

SO many comments to make, but I especially loved Dr. Doug’s study tips! Charlotte Mason (an old educator), describes the process as “narration”, when the pupil tells back what was just read/explained. As the child ages, they progress to writing out the narration. ❤️

After having no sugar for about 2 months, I keep craving tomatoes, How crazy is that??? I am eating them by the bowl full. After going to Fasting Escapes, I had my first good tomato , I am so hooked. This is coming from someone who would eat ice cream for breakfast if that is what I wanted. You guys are great Thank you

CHEF AJ I'm going to order you're book tomorrow cause it's payday 😁 I see its also on eBay. I been watching all you're videos but i can't wait for the book so i can make sure I'm armed with EVERYTHING I need to be successful. I'm excited to try you're recipes because salt is the one thing im struggling to give up and i have no skills in the kitchen to come up with my own flavor replacement. You suggested lime or lemon in one of you're videos so i been putting that in my rice bowls 😁

To the question about suger at around min 45. It acctually does work like that for me. If I eat a lot of candy, just sugery candy without any fat in it, I will feel sick and then wont feel like eating it for a while. So that definitely helps me from wanting to have sweets regularly.

Thank you Dr. Lisle and Chef AJ. Exciting life changing information, as always. As for the woman going back to school in her 50's... HURRAY for going back to school!!! Go for it!!! As for competition in UWL... I don't think that would be helpful. Glad about the question though. I will certainly think about the idea of competition in general.

The older I get, the more of a disagreeable bitch I am!! 😂😂 And you know what? I like it, because I'm never going back to the way I used to roll over and let my past partners control me. I've also noticed that I am more compliant on programs when I'm "disagreeable". My beautiful husband is one of the most agreeable people you'll ever meet (to the point of exasperation!). We're in each other's lives for a reason. Great talk, guys!

Chef AJ could you explain something for me I started the whole food plant-based diet following dr. McDougall starch of or I used to be Diabetic Type 2 I got off of my medication been diabetic free for 2 years I started this diet is it normal for your sugar to be a little high in the mornings what is your thoughts on that

  • @marleri

Sugar goes up in the morning because hormones cortisol and melatonin cycle up and down with circadian rhythm. Melatonin helps you sleep so if everything is work right melatonin goes up at night. So in the morning melatonin goes down, cortisol goes up you dump some glycogen into your blood in the morning when you wake up. And the glycogen surge helps you get going, feel awake and alert and get some breakfast. Natural ups and downs means everything is working right.
