native number is end at 99. so if u want to say more than 99, you have to use sino-number instead.

As a matter of fact, the native 100(온), 1000(즈믄), 10000(골), etc. are extinguished today.

anyone else think that native is a lot easier than sino? for english speakers we do the same thing, a big number and then the single digit is the other one. sino is very complicated for me, because you have to memorise patterns and all that, but i have to learn both. wish me luck

Just like English does have 2 counting systems (one two three..... first second third), Koreans also have same systems. It's easy to understand to distinguish them as a notation and as ordinal number. With these ordinal numbers (하나 둘 셋 넷 다섯....), we use them when we are counting something countable or expressing the time and age. ex 1) 5 pm = 오후(O-hu = afternoon) 다섯(5) 시(time) , 12 o'clock = 열 두시 ex 2) 15 years old = 열 다섯(15) 살(Sal = age) , 12 yeares old = 열 두살 (yeol du-sal) , 25 years old = 스물 다섯살 (su-mul da-seot-sal)

the sino numbers were simpler than native but learning french numbers the way i did is probably is why i got it easier but these natve numbers was killing me...* starts to slide down a wall in dramatic lighting*

Idk, there is logic in even in this way of numbers. Obviously more so in the other way of numbers but) It's like English. Two ten seven becomes Twenty seven because 20 30 40 50 60 ... Has special names

What is amazing is that you can move your finger that way when you count the ninth number. How could you unfold the finger in that situation? Your finger is so limber. You are so acrobatic to me.

how do you practice your Korean? Do you listen to Korean music or watch Korean shows? i'm two mounts in to learning Korean but its not working as well as I thought, so i was wondering if is should get Rosetta stone Korean?

+Liliya Voloshenyuk Personally, I started learning Korean without having any expectations at all. And that's why I think I never had thoughts like "oh it's not going as well as I thought it would". I mean everyone is different and the learning process is different for everyone. So don't feel like you're not doing as well as you should because as long as you're having fun and enjoying learning a language, that's all that matters. And yes I listen to a lot of Kpop and pretty much all tv shows I watch are Korean ^^

Koreans use both counting systems interchangeably in their daily conversations so I would suggest learning both

안녕! Just wanted to let you know that you got 60 pronounced wrong, it is 예순, which is pronounced as “yesun”. Which I’m positive that you know, but maybe you should just add a note to that part of the video or edit it so that people won’t learn it wrong! 😊😊😊 thanks for your videos tho!

Bluh, here is my problem with learning korean. I only can learn it in english because the Netherlands is a black hole for Korea or kpop. So i have to understand english if i want to learn korean properly. and i am not bad with the english language but sometimes its just so hard to understand *cries in corner*

+kychul1028 한국말은 조합된 글자라서 여러분이 외우는 단어 수보다 새로 생기는 단어가 더 생기거던요. 예를 들면 " 흥칫뽕" 이런거는 여러분에게 설명 하기가 어려운 단어거던요. 하지만 어떤 상황에서 쓰는구나 하는거만 알면 되죠..소설 한번 읽고 또 읽고 하면서 , 드라마 한편 보면서 자연스럽게 귀에 익히면 되요
