We thought this would be a WEEKEND makeover in the garden
We've got so many plants in pots and containers and it's starting to look untidy and messy, so we've decided to do another garden DIY build and create a bespoke planter to fit into colourful corner and replace the pots and planters that are holding all the flowers.
It's going to be a big job, a multi-height, multi-part planter, lined and planted up. So Kate has the circular saw and drill out again and we get building.
I priced this up, to buy this wooden corner planter for our garden would cost over £600 but we've made it for £200
It's much cheaper to build your own garden projects.
Part 2: • It WAS worth the work!

Great video. I needed an excuse...I mean a totally concrete reason...not an excuse... to purchase a circular saw which I've wanted for ages and here it is. This is the kind of project I'd enjoy. Kate your ability to design and construct the projects that you do is really impressive. Really impressive. I love this channel 😁

Hi, Eli and Kate, I really enjoy your videos. Informative and always entertaining. I consider myself very much a novice gardener and I appreciate your effort to explain everything clearly. You're both lovely people and its so nice to see the respect and affection you have for each other.

I've just discovered your videos and am delighted to finally find someone growing in a small space in a climate similar to mine. I'm in a tiny urban garden in South East Ireland, maybe not as cold as Scotland, but close enough. Looking forward to checking out your channel. 😊

Thanks guys. I really enjoyed this and your humour always makes me smile. You work so well together. I’m looking forward to seeing part 2 next week. Have a great week. We absolutely do still head into the garden although obviously we’re a bit limited with what we can do. I’ve got lights in my greenhouse though so I can pootle in there at least 😍

@@eliandkate I completely understand.
I noticed, when you attached your bases, that you screwed the bottom planks into the ends of the 2x2 (I think you called them batons?). That is end grain, and doesn’t hold screws well at all. Just FYI.
@eliandkate
8 ай бұрын
Not quite, sometimes it’s hard to show everything that’s going on well in a video but the bottoms are screwed onto horizontal bars along the inside. Only the corners are screwed into the uprights (end grain) and that’s only to hold them in place while we work 😉
@leahwithheld783

@@leahwithheld783 I bet not as much as we’d hate it 😂😂😂 We’re quite temperate in terms of winter… we don’t get those extreme freezes at all
