That is ully tarida isn't... ??
Mosquito abatement is very easy. 1 part "real" lavender oil, 6-8 parts water (depending how bad) in a small spritzer bottle. No chemicals, no bad smell and quick touchups when needed. Plus no residue that attracts dirt! If your in a grove of Aspen's, rub the powder from the tree on you😊👍
Great tip regarding First Come First Serve. there is no end to the beauty of that area! Wonderful filming and location. As always, thank you for letting us tag along.
Yosemite is such an iconic gem of the NP system. So cool you got a spot. Good tip on arriving on Sunday morning. Can't wait to get back there. Cheers -Henry
Yosemite is one of my favorite places! I have never camped in that area, going to put this on my list. Beautiful scenery!
I love Tuolumne meadows...we used to backpack there, it is so beautiful😁
That really is a great van. One of the best I've seen. I've never lived in a pop-top, and lean towards thinking that the pop-top might be the weak link of this kind of design - so it was very interesting to hear your impressions of the pop-top's utility as you gained more experience using it.
Awesome one ☝️ One of my favorite national park
Great stuff as always. Thanks for sharing.
Wow. The scenery, area and water after you got to your camp site was amazing. And precious deer! Doesn't seem like you stayed long enough at this beautiful site.

Oh very cool - we've seen a few of the Syncros on the road. Would love to drive one some day.
And a dragonfly that reads maps. A natural wonder. Call it in!
If you get to yosemite early enough ,say 1955 ,you will definitely get a camp site . Seriously ,it was even crowded back then , but there were less campsites which translates into less people in the valley overall. When i went to yosemite in the 1990s i went straight for the higher campsites as they were almost always free . I had spent enough time in the valley as a young boy , so i didn’t need to keep going back there to see all the wonders.
Thanks for your posting. The last scene in this video is the very spot I took a photo in 2013 when I first began my photography journey; the photo one of many that are now hanging on my walls (and other peoples walls as well). Like you I arrived early for an available camping site. I'm chopping on the bit to get back out west for some more photo ops at some of the places I missed.
This is the coolest set-up!!
luv Yosemite as much as the Van !
Great Video with valuable info. Thank you.

I love this van. I don't really need the 4x4, but it can be very handy. It is the size I am wanting. I always wanted a stationary bed, but It is so easy to put away. So tempting.
I agree the Valley has great views but it’s so crowded. I like to get off the beaten path and that’s difficult anywhere in Yosemite. We enjoy day trips there but camp in Mammoth lakes.
That thing is soooo cool!

Actually we left the top up the whole time. It was nice having the windows up top open and getting that fresh air.
Thanks for another great vid. I would love to see how the pop top handles being opened and closed on rainy days. Does stuff inside get wet when collapsing the canvas? Either through condensation or through zippers or seams? We would mostly sleep upstairs so I can have coffee and read downstairs in the morning while the missus sleeps in.
Ooh...I so want one of those vans...nice!!!! 💗💗💗

Joe and Kait, I love this Sportsmobile van that you are using. The only way I think you could improve is instead on the olive drab color, it would be great if it was desert tan!😄 I wish this video were longer...that Yosemite High Country is BEAUTIFUL! Keep making these great videos!

I think I want a bathroom (wet bath is fine), but other than that, the pop up camper is lovely. I'm surprised that the bears won't hassle it unless you leave the pop up up and unoccupied. I can understand if you are in it. But that they don't hassle vans or hard campers.

So glad to see you're enjoying life because that's all that really counts. Once more I'd like to know on your "adventures" what the related cost are i.e., the cost to enter the National Park? If you choose not to stand in line for a "non-paid" campground space how much would you have to pay for your rig? I also noticed that in the campground the trees were dense blocking much of the natural sunlight need to charge you solar panels. Vital information like the questions I raised would be priceless to help others make a more informed decision based on your practical experiences. Thank you for caring and sharing.
Looks just like the van parked at my college

Best campground in Yosemite is the 5th night on the side of El Cap in a portaledge.
I love Yosemite. Wish your videos were longer because it goes too fast.
Is the battery charged simply by the alternator or are their small solar panels on it also ?
I enjoy your videos but they are really short. Would have enjoyed seeing more of Yosemite. Have to say this rig you have great .

Thanks for the quick response. The wife & I would be “willing” to offer our services to Winnebago to put one through its paces for a year-long period and provide provide them with a comprehensive report as to our findings and opinions. That is, of course, Winnebago provide all the necessary preventative maintenance for that period. I’m sure we could work out an amicable agreement as to the fuel expenses and reimbursement over that period. Safe travels. Looking forward to seeing your future journeys.

Do you only use the port-a-potty for #1 like the cassette toilet in your old van? I assume you might use it for both if you are boondocking?
I’m really falling more and more for this Sports mobile! At first, I was really against any pop tops. But this is really nice and it’s growing on me. It still concerns me about weather damage and leakage over time. Anyone have one over 5 yrs old? If so, does it leak? Any weather damage?
How long did you stay at Yosemite? I have never been but it is my sisters favorite camping area. She is a tent camper, though.
In none of the videos that I heard did you mention how much battery power it had. Had did you run those appliances, does it have a lot of battery storage somewhere.
I watch a few youtubers and I just love Yosemite park. It is astounding. WOW O.O Did you guys only stay one night there?? Like isn't there a whole lot more to do?

Hello, I am heading to Yosemite this summer June/July, what time of year did you visit? I'm wondering how easy it will be getting a first come first serve spot during the summer
I agree w many people here. That rig does it for me. Where do i buy? Thank you Sportmobile for letting them have access to such a phenomenal peice of serious living equipment. It's really a well designed truck in some ways. Color wise though i might pick something a lil less prepper like. Like a gray or brown might garner less attention. Tks Katie for the excellent film work! 😄

You're very welcome Glenn - these are custom so go with whatever color you want! sportsmobile.com/
Thanks for the tips regarding the first come-first serve campsites in Yosemite. I would so love to have that van, but the price tag is light years out of my financial reach. However, I can console myself with the thought that my GMC camper van has about 90% of that vans capability (no four wheel drive) at 10% of the price.
how is the noise factor sleeping with the pop top up in the bed below, and in the bed up top? would really like to know! My husband always "poopoo's" every type of pop because he thinks it's extra noisy and doesn't insulate well.
do you have a video showing how one climbs up to the pop top mattress?
you just had the revelation that putting the top down would bring better insulation?? that would be my first thought when installing a pop up tent.
Come back to Colorado. I heard a mosquito once, back in '01, I think. Not sure. Could have been a miniature buzzard.
I’m curious what week of Aug you were In Yosemite. Summer is so crowded there, you must have timed it right. Nice video!
Great campsite to Show-Case the big Green Machine! A very nice location for people looking for trails with a view. But I do have a request. Can you make your next video longer. Maybe 20 minutes or so. Once again thanks for sharing....

We're the Russos / thanks for the update/ how about doing a van life safety video. Go over the things that make for safe camping in a unknown environment. What equipment to carry, and what to pack in a first aid kit that is focussing on Remote camping. Want kind of medication (non-prescription) should you keep at hand. And lastly what road side repair kit should you take with you. Hope there’s something here that you can incorporate.

Dale, as to non-prescription drugs to take along, I'd definitely include Benadryl (generic substitute) and either Ibuprofen or your favorite equivalent painkiller. Some cortisone cream would also be helpful. I generally also pack a generic equivalent to Immodium; better safe than sorry.
