Allegedly mosquitoes don't like marmite or garlic so if you like eating these two things mosquitoes may be less of a problem etc You might want to get Mozzie coils too

Great adventures. Can't beat those northern forests.

Many many thanks for stunning photography and giving views of Finland that those of us that have never been there would rarely or never see. Two little tips and an old saying about Finland. First the tips. A few video's ago I mentioned soaking clothing in water overnight that has white vinegar added. The vinegar kills bacteria. What I failed to mention was any stains on clothing, sprinkle some Bicarbonate of Soda on the stain(s). Then put the White Vinegar in one of those cheap garden hand sprayer bottles (not the fancy pressurised ones). Spray the Bicarbonate of Soda with the vinegar and it fizzes. Soak overnight and hey presto in the morning any stains should disappear. Admittedly this method of washing clothes isn't as good as using traditional washing soaps/powders, but it does kill bacteria and it saves water as there's no need to rinse! Second tip. Mosquitoes also love me, especially biting my ankles. Spray the itchy rash/bumps with apple cider vinegar. Failing that, spray the itchy rash/bumps with the white vinegar! it works a treat and stops the itching immediately! Now for the old saying. During WWII my Dad was a conscript in the British Army. His regiment were constantly told, "Fight like a Fin and don't give in!" I guess they said that as the Finnish army were outnumbered by Soviet Forces, but managed to send them into a retreat! Now you can bore people with that uninteresting fact! Not many people know that! lol. Thanks again for those stunning views over those lakes.

Beautiful country! It looks very similar to areas in Minnesota where I live. There are many descendants of Finnish settlers in this state. I can see why they were drawn here. Really enjoy your videos. Keep them coming.

The messy, natural look inside your van is just one more telltale sign you absolutely loved the camping site: you were so consumed by it, and relaxing outside, you just forgot all about tidying the inside. For 'keeping up the appearances' :) But I like this much more than Hyacinth's recidence - you've got room for a pony at that beach :)

Wow. So jealous right now. It is absolutely stunning where you are. I hope you are all well. Give Charlie and dizzee a cuddle from me here in Scotland xx

Great as usual. I spent a month travelling round Scandinavia a long time ago. I remember doing sauna on a wee island in the middle of a lake in Finland. Also remember never feeling tired because of the almost constant daylight. There was snow on the ground in July inside the arctic circle too. It was a great trip all round. Enjoy.

Hi! I'm from Finland and this Pistohiekka beach is my favourite spot in the country. I'm glad you also loved it 😊 We have a small boat near there, about half an hour boatride from this spot, and it's always the highlight of the summer to go boating in this area. It's also nice to go snorkeling there as the water is amazingly clear.

Wow the location with the hammock was just a dream , I don't blame you both for taking some chill time there perfect best wishes to you all :)

My eyes is full with all those beautiful lakes you had visited. The last lake you had shown had à road between lakes and you passed thru it. So amazing!!! Many Fun Adventures Thankyou, Yeah, we did want to get the kayak out, but the weather changed and the lake turned a little choppy, in the end we didn’t have time, but such a beautiful place to kayak, all the little islands etc 😉

Pretty place, looks like you had it all to yourselves. Love the boys, great travelers aren't they! Mosquitos ! We had those when I lived on the east coast, you got use to them, sort of. However, here in the Mojave Desert in Southern California those buggers are hardly seen unless you go near a lake in the warm weather. We also had lightning bugs, aka fire fly's on the east coast and not out here. I miss those pretty nite bugs that lite up and have wondered where else in the world they live. Stay well and safe. Hugs to the fur kids 💜

Lovely Video. Great looking country. Can’t believe you don’t get your hammock out more! I have one on my back porch and have kept one in a pannier on my motorcycle for 15 years or so. My favorite place for a nap is boat put ins at lakes. Nice for a short break even if it’s very hot.
