This is so so true I attached my whole value and happiness to other people and the minute those relationships ended I lost it. I heavily lost my identity and I didn't know who I was and it left me so depressed. After months of solitude is when I can truly say I did find myself and I feel so complete and content with myself that even the relationships I waited and envied is sth I no longer chase anymore or see the dire need It's so so freeing

I wasn’t going to click on your video when it came up on my feed because I didn’t think it would be meaningful for me but there is a lot of truth, education and empathy in your content. Hello, I rarely leave comments on KZread, but I must admit, I couldn't resist expressing how much I resonate with everything you say in each of your videos, which I've watched multiple times over. Your voice, your profound gaze, and even your silence are so filled with meaning that I've never encountered before. As I listened to you with all my heart, it felt as though you were articulating my own thoughts. Unfortunately, it struck me that I've never come across anyone in our time with such deep and accurate insights. I'm not sure what shaped you into the person you are, but I must say, I feel like you're the only individual (at least that I've seen) truly living in this world! In the midst of the usual habits of people today, most perhaps pretend to have grasped the meaning of life. However, your channel's name, 'Accepting the Universe,' resonates so well because you truly understand life and living on this planet and strive to help others accept the universe. I'm grateful that your channel was suggested to me, and I hope many others have the chance to stumble upon it as well. Keep going strong, and I wish you all the best in life. A small message from someone perhaps far away !

Everyone I’ve dated has always tried to dominate me, no matter how good of a person they may be outside of that behavior… It’s exhausting. I’m almost at year two of being single and have progressed more in my personal life than ever before. No dating - just focusing on myself, friends, community, and hobbies. Life is good. It feels like a secret level of bliss very few know about. Thank you for your words, as always they speak to my soul.

This wonderful mind of yours... Its not just the content, but the WAY you say it. Its calming... And true for that matter... Deep down we all know it. Its just that we have been mislead by the "voices of out ancestors", within and without... The reverberation are there and there is no denying them... But there is a guidance, every now and then, in all this disquietude... I would like to thank you, deeply, for taking the time and sharing the only true knowledge, passing it, like a torch, into our own hands... I would go much deeper, but, for now, that is all I wish to convey... With regards, ND

This is so true! We have all the answers within and we complete ourselves. I have transcended the need for human companionship in the romantic sense, I have found unconditional love is between child/parent/grandparent/pet/human, etc. It's not to say that unconditional love doesn't happen in a romantic sense, but most likely this is where ego sets in and ruins it.

I'm exactly in this phase that i lost a relationship and therefore lost my identity. And right now all I struggle with is who am I, and what is the anchor in my life? Who do I attach myself to? (however the reality is to find things within ourselves rather that attaching ourselves) And in this journey of self discovery your video gave my some perspective and something to look at: the virtues that made us attracted to others in the first place! Being that kind of person for myself. I think I never thought about this in this way. Thankyou. Thankyou ✨

I'm happy to see this channel is doing well in the youtube algorythms. I've been recommended these videos back in November, and found your videos to be the perfect echo to some of my readings and life experiences. A lot of content on youtube, especially about stoic philosophy, lacks the true humility that you feel by reading Marcus Aurelius, or Epictetus and others. So even though some may help people, they do lack the proper match between the form and the substance, hence creating some dissonance which hinders the message. When I read the Meditations, I feel a profound calmness, a profound humility, and a profound compassion for humankind. He did not need for anyone else but him to read them, so it is stripped bare of any superfluous shape that could get in the way. It feels as if your videos do the same, because you are doing them for yourselves. But you still share them, as it is by sharing knowledge lived and good practices, that humanity progresses. Here is a place of humility, calmness and compassion. And it's a very helpful way to get reminded (or to discover) of the simple ways of living that bring peace back to the mind. I'm glad that this sort of "shape" does work its way through youtube, it shows the whole things isn't entirely broken.

I would suggest we do have an innate instinct towards meaning. It’s our proclivity to move towards our natural self, an expression of who and what we are, or as Bill Plotkin, the author of Nature and The Soul, speaks to: ‘our exact place in the world’. The more in harmony we become with this natural self, the less we entertain thoughts of meaninglessness tethered to feelings of inadequacy. The less we feel a need for change, or project an image upon ourselves that perpetuates a lack of self worth and inadequacy. I believe, the intricate weaving of nature and reality, sets fourth a series of encounters and experiences that serve to bring us into harmony with ourselves and those around us. In tapping into this, perhaps it then becomes possible to directly experience a life of which there is no need to question meaning, and to know who and what we truly are.

Ever since I went through this shift, I have no friends at all, I only know a lot to people. While I am okay with it, my daughter worries about me, but I tell her that it’s better like this than with the wrong company, and that soon I will find my people

We humans we tend to seek happiness outside of ourselves. Becoming aware about life is a process sometimes we get hurt a lot before we become aware or become conscious. I lost my mother during my early 20's and it's very painful my enthusiasm lost now I know why things happen.Glad your channel is doing well 👍

Great video - but what do you say to the idea that, in relationships, we inherently look for things in people that we seek in ourselves and they act as a sort of unconscious tutor for those lessons that - so far - have evaded us. The same way they find in us the things that they look to learn. Not to act as a temporary plug, but to gain a much more intimate understanding in 'how' that idea/lesson/outlook/response works. After all, we are more likely to 'want' to learn from people that we respect, admire or love. We are at the end of the day social beings, learning from and teaching to one another. To suggest that we must be fully formed before opening ourselves to connections seems mislead. Perhaps then the goal is to become self contented. Seneca says the self-content man desires connection, but is not at a deficit in its absence. So glad to have found this channel. Thank you for your contributions!
