What always strikes me when you share is that you’ve spent your own time investing in yourself so these things you say can come out as fully developed as they do. That is what I am most grateful for…for the unseen hours and what drove you to these studies. Thank you for mentioning Frankl as someone to read. It made me think how vastly different what he came away with was than say…Elie Wiesel. What we allow to shape us. Thank you for your videos.

I have been taking a coaching program about perspective, and here is one thing I have learned. We are the subjects that often obsessively look at our objects. What we forget is that there is a layer of conscience past the subject and object, which is the perspective of the director. Think of your life as a film. When you are limited to just the film and its twists and turns, you will twist and turn with it; however, when you are watching the film, even if its a horror film, you will enjoy it… because your perspective is beyond what justs what happens in the movie. Think of the film as your life.

Hearing those words coming from a man, simply set my mind and heart free in ways that will keep unfolding. At my age, I have known this concept for many years and I continue to strive to find meaning for my life, only to sometimes have events/problems shatter that meaning. Then I must find new meanings. I have made radical changes, a few times. Thank goodness I'm an independent and flexible type of person, but I've been humbled a few times ( I know of my insignificance) . I enjoy your videos, you give me a lot to think about , although sometimes I disagree with some of your content ( I tend to see things more in grey shades). But then again, I probably have had a tougher life than some people. Yes, we are in a constant battle between our animal side and, our higher being side-- and it's our higher being that tells us we can do better.

Thank you for sharing another video. From “Man’s Search for Meaning”, Victor Frankl, was in a privileged position as a person with a medical degree in the camps, this made his skills more indispensable than others’. One of the main viewpoints that I took from his story which I found profound & unique was that he was able to hold love for his family but also recognize that he could build another family in the future if he became free again. Of course, other viewpoints such as the one you mentioned, as well as his ability to live in the moment (i.e. sharing how he would appreciate the sunset even amongst the death and abuse), show an amazing amount of wisdom. But most people cannot hold love and appreciation so separately from possession, and this bit I think about quite frequently as guidance. Once again thanks for the wisdom shared here and opening up the discussion. God bless 💗

connecting the dots and realizing that we human beings cant be God. If we could, there would be no uncontrollable things, we would not need to react to certain situations but only act and produce our own situations that suit us and etc… We are not independent. Our existence is very dependent on the existence of the Independent.

Definitely, expect the answer (to question 'what is the meaning of life') from yourself! Epictetus is not known as an ingrate, right? Epictetus's line about dragging around a little corpse ironically seems very penirious given the marvelous and exceptional things we enjoy in these positively powerful bodies (which are also a creation of God/Source/The All). The only reason we can exist here in a meaningful way is to be connected to the body. What are we but ghosts or hidden spirits with no voice without the body? What say Epictetus if he never existed in physical form?

It's fascinating how globalization has sparked a reevaluation of personal meaning and purpose in today's world! 💭 Philosophy, especially existentialism, offers a compelling framework for navigating these existential questions and finding individual meaning amidst the chaos of modern life.

While choosing to pursue being "god instead of animal" sounds lucrative and might serve as an eye-opener, let us not think that way too quickly. Mind being, afterall, bound to body in a relationship which can be altered, but not effaced. To ovelook this would most definately lead to a great suffering of the mind. Let this also be a dislcaimer for us as humans, who seem to have a weak spot for playing gods.

Therefore,do not allow to forfeit your potential. We are reminded from the stories of Narcissus and Cassiopeia, to when the god of inner man falls short in its incapability to attain the harmony of balance in the Virtues.
