TRUE DAT! I don’t need no long winded opening with catch phrases and all that shit. Just gimme what I’m here for. And on another note. I really hope my views help whatever reactors I watch. But I see peeps now pushing merchandise…like who in their right mind is so obsessed with this that they spend hard earned money to rep their fav reactor.. even Patreon really seems fuct to me. I enjoy seeing people listen to songs I know and love for the first time.. that’s why I’m here.. but I would never donate out of pocket to this. Give your head a shake if u do.

After Lex excitedly explains why she gets SOAD now, I love how Brad calmly replies: "Well I liked SOAD from the beginning, so.... I can't really relate to you all the way. Funny to see, usually the roles are reversed.
The sound isn't quite right on this one. But you get the idea! Serj can be an acquired sound, but his voice is really unique and beautiful, in my opinion. Try 'Question!' or 'Spiders' beautiful vocals from Serj - 'Prison song' is easy to follow.

after watching dozens of Brad & Lex videos, I found Brad's reaction to Lex's crazy hippie explantation of her interpretation of the music is priceless. God Bless both of you, stay strong.
To hear another side of Serj's vocals, check out Aerials. You'll love it.
I like Brad's insight about the last line. I grew up in a Christian home and when I read that lyric, I made the same connection. Rather than "sun," I thought "Son," as in Jesus. It's quite profound no matter how you look at it.

One of the tunes that cemented System Of A Down as one of my all-time favourite bands. So fierce, so multi-faceted...just brilliant.
You guys are great, very refreshing style of music reactions, sending love from Australia

Lmfao 😂😆 the two of you when it ended!!! Listen 1 more time and your in love with them! Lol good show guys!
This group is legendary and I've been listening to them since they first came out 20 some years ago. They mix ups and downs one hard and soft and Melody can wrap and metal
I'm going to keep requesting this forever, not even lying. The lead singer of System of a Down (Serj) created his own side project. Serj Tankian - Empty Walls (music video)
I Love Lex's reaction she seems, I don't know just so alive!!! you guys are great.........
To understand System of a Down and their lead Serj Tankian is to understand how political they are. Serj especially is an Activist more than a Musician. They are very much all about Anti-War, Anti-Nationalism and Anti-Authoritarianism; Serj's four grandparents were survivors of the Armenian Genocide. With System of a Down it is always political.

I just started watching your channel, and I love you guys
We love you Lex. You ROCK
I've seen these guys a dozen times or so all over the northeast. One common thing at their shows are the strange trance some seem to go into during some of these songs. Their music transports people. One of the best live bands ever.
I enjoy that y’all look outside the comfort zones. Usually when I listen to music like this my friends that are rap heavy they’re like “this is a bunch of loud music and nonsense screams” but there’s actually aTON of metal that speaks on life more than you get in a lot of modern rap. Just like watching people get into different music lol that’s something y’all do almost every video too
I’ve loved them since I was teen. I’ve never once gotten tired of their music. 🤘🏾🤘🏾
Glad to see y'all (Lex) continuing to give System a chance. They certainly are unique, there's no mistaking them for anyone else. As one of the comments below said, I'd recommend Spiders or Question next, two of my favorites. I would also recommend some of Serj Tankian's solo stuff if you want to get a feel for him from a purely singing stand point, maybe try Empty Walls or Harakiri.
Lex has absolutely got IT ! Your breakdown is pretty much Spot On.
I’m callin it you guys have the best reaction channel 🤷🏾♂️
I love the crazy tangents y'all get on.
Such a great and underrated Band. Effing love them. Lex, you a hard rocker at ❤️. 👏👏
Lol I love the difference in appreciation difference on the break down her vibing and him listening
Yall should check out " Prison Song " from them Next !!
This song holds dual meanings. It is both a commentary on the conditions of urban life in the US and compares it to parallels in the complicit events leading up to the Armenian Genocide. Where citizens became content with the status quo and allowed the genocide to take place. It usually goes hand-hand with Chopsuey which is more about the state of urban decay leading to regret and depression and ultimately suicide. The eating seeds part is a direct reference to the popularity of teens eating sunflower seeds in 2001 in the US as well as reports of when people were being kidnapped by death squads. There was one account of a group of men who got out of their truck and pulled out a bag of sunflower seeds to munch on as they watched with zero concern for the people being captured by the death squad "flashlight reveries caught in the headlights of our truck". That is why the majority of the song is so toned down and a bit depressing. It is like "the world has gone to shit and no one wants to do anything about it, so what else is there left to do but sit quietly and wait for my turn?"
Great reaction🤘seen these live, fu..ing amazing
Haha great reaction! To me the song is about the chaos of life between the quiet peace before birth and after death and how some people pointlessly try to control it. The last verse also comes across as how they decide to live their chaotic life - aiming to be bright and bring vibrance to others lives, which kind of explains the hype and energy they put into their songs.
I feel like Lex is almost ready to mosh out! 🤘😝
LOL, best cold open yet! I couldn't even guess how you were gonna get to that point, and if I had, it wouldn't have been that!

To hear brad say I actually appreciate the heaviness LMAO we have come a long way
I was born in 92 and my mom had amazing music taste. My first CD was Americana which my mom got me at around 7 years old haha.. She also took me to see RHCP during californication tour for my first show. I remember she showed me the toxicity CD. She had heard a song and went out and bought it, she absolutely loved it. Love that you guys are listening to them. One of the most interesting post grunge/ metal bands ever. His vocal ability is incredible. Such a great voice. You guys need to be watching their videos. He's such a visual performer. Also the whole gmo thing is mostly a buzzword. Most things aren't truly clean as "organic" and gmo= genetically modified organism, is actually a good thing. It doesn't do terrible stuff to the "organism" to the corn or what have you. It actually helps protect the corn, the crops. It acts as a deterrent from bugs that will eat up all the crops.
Ok. I’ve been watching your videos for a while now. I enjoy your music choices most of the time. So I might as well subscribe finally. A quick FYI: new System of a Down album coming soon! First album in 15 years! Be excited!

i like how lex goes in on the breakdown haha shes got some metal blood
I may not remember all the details to my first experience to System Of A Down, But I will always remember it was an Ozzfest some 20 years ago! I left my girl at the main stage to get a beer. Passing the 2nd stage these guys got started.... I stopped dead in my tracks, beer (and my girl, both) forgotten! I was Hypnotized and Mesmerized before those albums came out! My girl later found me, she was pissed... I told her to listen... She was as amazed as I was! She was even more pissed at me for not getting her to that stage to hear this band!
This will always be 🔥🔥🔥

Great song! My interpretation of some of the lyrics " between the sacred silence and sleep" is between death and sleep everything is disorder.
