an AK can literally be any weapon imo. You can even make it to look like a Shotgun. If you remove the Stock and the Magazine, it will almost looked like a SPAS-12. And maybe one day, someone will managed to make an AK-47 to a Shotgun.

1)sorry for ranting under a joke. You're free to r/wooosh me later. 2)even if we forget about their licensing problems, having a marksman/"infantry sniper" use rifle based on same system as your other troops is a good idea. Would have been great if soviets/russians themselves switched to that solution and pushed SVD more into SVDK/SVU direction for company/battalion snipers. Yes, there are also those as well as separate ones, spetznaz snipers and so on. And everyone uses different equipment.

Over here in Serbia, Zastava has actually been developing the M17/M19 for years now, which is literally an AK chambered in both 7.62 and 6.5 Grendel. Hopefully the project won't die off and will get into production eventually.

It's one of those things that you didn't know how badly you need one until you learn it exists.

The Serbian M17 has a 6,5mm and a 7,62mm interchangeable option on this Plattform! The barrel is changeable!

I really like this firearm. I will call it "The AK Tuner", love that sound with every shot! And yes, I'm a bench rest shooter depending on the rife. We used to shoot a lot of .220 Swift back in the hollers or Hallows for non Appalachian foke.

That is literally me and my projects. I'm getting better at leather work and just made a 4 round bandolier for holding 410 shells. The last time that was popular was like 100 years ago in England. Everyone thought it was weird but I was pumped. Lol

First learned of the concept with the 2009 Borat, the swingers scene. I remember vividly grandmother's house, adolescent hands pushing in the VJS tape I conned my G-ma into renting at the local Blockbuster-esque store. You should try and check out the news coming from Serbia around these days, Zastava arms creators of the really legendary M70AB2 variant have been contracted by the MOD to build AK platforms for the military using 6.5 Grendel, it's apparently going into mass production soon as the special forces successfully tested it.

Missing a target and then insisting on another round because "its a matter of principle" has never resonated so deeply with me before like it has during this video...

That rifle exists in Zastava older version M-17, now is a modern version M-19 modular rifle, with 6.5 Grendel and 7.62x39 for the Serbian army!

Honestly, i hate that sound. Once saw a video of CZ guys talking about the BREN 2. Among the other things they mentioned that the flash hider/compenstator/idk, that thing on the end of the tube spitting angry bees is constructed so it gets very little vibrations and therefore does not ring. Until now i had no idea how useful it can be.

AK user: "I was shooting long range yesterday". AR users: "How far did ya get?" AK user: " i got to 200 yards but i needed a bench and a calculator."

Idk man. 200 is kinda far. My proudest moment in the military was going 38 out of 40 on the marksmanship course at ft Jackson. That's only 300m.

This is my favourite AK ever. Good cartridge and a little bit of backstory and DMR and that gas system and that flash hider that's cool but i would ultimately end up taking off.

Yes, this is why I came to the comments. I was pissed at first.... But ... I say good for Brandon! That's more money in his pocket!💪 Its good to see the gun community supporting itself. Keep up the good work!

I have wanted one of these forever.....I always dreamed of it as a 20" gun that took Dragonov/PSL furniture. I heard a rumor Zastava looked at it or even did some in Serbia but that might be B.S....God I want one so bad. Creedmoor/.260 would be great too. I know,I know(VEPR's) but they are rare and banned now. The gun could even be done with more of the short stroke operation like an SVD or SKS type action if need be for accuracy , if it made any difference. Good mags are also a must. I do wish someone would take it on like P.S.A on a large scale so I could grab one. I was a few years late on kit building $$$ or I would just try to build one out myself.....thank's for doing this. oddly enough, I think the most cursed thing about this gun is the stock. He really can make any "Franken-Gun" look good.

Serbia adopted the 6.5 Grendel as it's Primary cartridge using 120 grain bullets. On an AK platform, with a 20" barrel. All reports I've seen say it's a Beast! I built an AR 20" HBAR, and I can say, it is a Beast!!! 308 performance with half the recoil!!! Grendel likes longer barrels for the 120+ grain bullets. 20" minimum. That said, the Russian Wolf Performance 100 grain FMJ cartridge is designed for 16" barrel's. So I built one! It's very accurate to 500M. Dependably accurate!!! And this ammo is cheaper than the 120-123 grain stuff. So Carbine & 100 grain bullets for under 500M. Rifle and 120+ grain for long range work. The few misses I had were mine, not the firearms. Excellent Cartridge!!! That IS a nice rifle!!! If I had not already built my ARs.....

I was born and raised in Fayetteville NC, and I can vouch for the range part. Even the range I used to go to on Fort Bragg was only a little longer than a football field long. Anywhere you can let off some rounds is usually blocked by trees everwhere. Best bet here would be to just climb up and down a tree stand to get the extra distance behind the hill.

A nice "cha-ching" sound that reminds you of the money you're throwing down range!

oooh... that ring though. idk why but I really, really enjoy the sound this gun makes. I like the profile as well--weird, sure, but also a really cool build in my opinion. But then, I've always enjoyed DMR-style firearms. Thanks for a cool video, Brandon!

About time. The Gendel is a great intermediate round. Built my first AR on it. Plinking plates at 500 yards+ is child's play.

I signed up at the Big D Bag and they said your credit with them has been revoked and anyone using your code is automatically charged $20 until the AK50 is fully functional .

Someone should post this on Cursed Gun Images and see how long it takes Brandon to notice.

You can get rid of the ring with a slight variation of the dimensions of the prongs of the flash suppressor.
