As a painter for 35 years I can tell you that cleaning anything with WD40 that will eventually need to be repainted will cause latex paint to fish eye and fail to bond requiring either a degreaser or oil based primer before painting a time consuming and potentially expensive repair.

I agree. I wouldn't clean anything like that with it. 👍

Great tips...here's another one...I found a very nice painting at the back of my building...it was very dirty..I used cotton makeup remover pads sprayed with WD40 and it came up beautiful
My dog chewed a blue bic pen and it was all over my rug in the middle of my living room and I sprayed this and scrubbed and it took it right out. Thank goodness!

I was advised by a guy at a local hardware store to never spray WD40 onto door locks (that what I was after) because is will eventually clog the lock. You should only use graphite powder.

You were told correctly. Graphite powder only.
All of these are great tips. The only thing I would add is to use a dry lubricant on door hinges and locks instead of the WD-40. Dust is automatically attracted to anything wet so after a while the dust will collect in the door hinges and locks which will make it harder to use. You can find the dry lubricants right next to the WD-40 any place that sells WD-40

B' Sha, I was really intrigued by all these other uses for WD40. Until I saw her using it on the door locks😳🤭😬😮 Many years ago, a locksmith told me to NEVER use any type of spray lubricants on door locks, because it will attract dust, etc. He suggested using graphite powder. That’s all I’ve ever used.
@inneybaby2506

@@maureenazevedo6219 and if u don't have graphite powder, rub it with the tip of a pencil. The tiny bits of lead is a dry lubricant.
Any time you spray WD-40 onto a painted surface you need to de grease that area or the next time you go to paint the paint will separate a condition called fisheye if you don’t you’re painter will get pissed off because he will need to prime it with oil based primer before the finish coat and oh by the way I’m a painter.

I use kerosene on mine because it's $3.50 a gallon. But I'm sure that WD40 works great too.
Thank you. My little can has a different nozzle but I was able to force the straw in.
It helps keep the snow from clumping up in your snowblower and especially in the chute
I use it on the black plastic trim and moldings on my old Jeep. It darkens them up again and they look new again - for a few weeks anyway

WD-40 also makes a great flamethrower! 👍🏼
I'd wear gloves when using WD-40. You don't want those chemicals absorbed through your skin.
Great, I tried this advice before and they work fine.

Great information,thank youuuuuuu....
Here's a savings hack: You can buy a gallon of WD-40 for as little as $20.00 or around $32.00. That gets you 128 oz. Compare that to $11 or $12 dollars for those little 12 oz cans. Get a tiny funnel and fill up a squeeze bottle like an old nasal spray bottle.
I used WD-40 to eliminate wood bees that had taken over my garage. That was 3 weeks ago and I haven't seen one since.
I spray this sometimes just so i can smell it😄but these are great tips thanks for sharing

Spray in keyhole and other orifices of exterior padlocks to flush out accumulated weathered debris and free up internal seized parts. Spray sprouting weeds in sidewalk cracks as an herbicide.
Thank you for the great ideas
love it...I'm always reaching for the WD
Good advice
Cool thank you very much. I noticed it seems we don't have to protect our hands from it. Does it not harm the skin please?
Mitchalisia Hi, I have used WD40 to get dark spots/ stains out of carpet, & it WORKS ! Just test it first in a hidden area to make sure it doesn't discolor the carpet. Probably would work on clothing & upholstery just as good !
It also has paint relieving properties so you can spray in o. The hurting area
Thanks
I guess making the door not squeak is for people who didn’t know what it’s for. But the other stuff was great. I knew some but you taught me more.
Complimenti per il tuo video (molto utile)😀👏
Good job
Excellent idea 💡 👏
Try it on snow shovels and snow blowers. Use it to get small screws out that have been put in with loc-tite, like on firearms.
If forming up a mold for some concrete garden edging, spray the sides and bottom of the mold with a little WD40...
Thank You! I like it! Keep more coming!

Got rid of a huge infestation of carpenter bees just by spraying the outside wood. They never came back.

It works well for machining aluminum.. leaves a nice surface finish and pieces don't get stuck to your tooling. I wouldn't put it on my car paint though.. or my boots
said it before you are crafty but there is another spray out there that doesn’t attract dust like WD just fyi it’s better for doors and such
Sooo satisfying 🤤the results are almost as good as when I use crocodile cloths when cleaning
Its very good at killing wasps. Mint is a better alternative to keeping bugs out of the house.

Now everything you own just became extremely flammable....
Be careful spraying it on shoes because it can make the soles slippery
Nice. Straight to the point video.
Works great for removing heel marks on your floor
What about the strong solvent smell?
Love this video
Very interesting thsnk you for your video
I use WD 40 to revive my slate place mats, slate coasters and the slate base of my fireplace, when they start looking dried out and dull. It makes them look like new again. Don’t use it on slate flooring though as it will make it slippery and dangerous to walk on.
Ugh. An appliance installer ruined the finish on my ss hood doing this. Not all ss is alike.
AWESOME
Hi can i find thisproduct in south africa

Can you imagine going on a date with your shoes reeking like wd40 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
You forgot "Avoid porous surfaces, WD40 will leave oil stains." It also is a great rust prevention coating, and prefered air freshener of mechanics. I used to use it to restore plastics and rubbers on my car before Amorall made me a better person.

That stainless Steel needs more than a couple of rub downs because I could see streek marks after you had finished , & as for bugs WD40 only kills certain bugs it does not kill woodlice
So my house it’s going to smell like my mechanic shop? 😂
Also good for arthritis
If you really want to remove labels. Use namptha. If you want to oil a hinge or lock. Use oil. I could continue but I think I'm going to start my own video. To explain the best ways to do all these things without WD40
WD40 is great stuff.
Ive tried to hinges looks but after few became rusty and mimic the hinges, not suitable for not stainless. But ok for insect
Grazie,,, 😊
Another hack...buy WD-40 by the gallon and get a spray bottle. It saves you a ton of money without having to switch to Geico.
