    The gas pipe in the stud wall should be surrounded tightly with battens and left open top and bottom. It was difficult to tell from the video but the 22mm gas pipe down the brick wall needed to be chased in slightly (at least half in from experience)the guys dot and dabbing will go nuts. Sorry if I seem to be criticising, there’s maybe something I’m missing. Enjoying your videos mate keep it up 👍

  • @Heatking

    @Heatking

    Yeah not sure I’ll get a batten down the left hand side. But will be left open top and bottom because of the ceiling void and kitchen units. Thankfully. My cousins boarding it so hopefully I won’t be in to much bother 😂😂

    I'd worry about hidden gas pipes. I'd rather them exposed if they are going up a wall that may get things hung/nailed on it. At least then you/the owner know where they are.

    @01:20 Oi! I've marked the floorboard. "Gas pipe run below. Do not screw, eedjuts!" 28mm copper been in garage 10 years. Kerching! How easy is it gonna be to balance the plinth heater, given that it's so close to the boiler and far away from rads?

  • @Heatking

    Shouldn’t be an issue balancing it really. Just crank on the valves down… he says hoping haha!

  • @Aaron-bw1vp

  • @Heatking

    @Heatking

    7 ай бұрын

    Get rid of copper was one reason, also just to increase volume of gas in the pipe with it being such a long run, you think about it, we come off the 22mm meter union before going to 28mm everytime too :)

    where did my comment go ??? I see lots not quite write PEB is not to tech bulletin 102 earth in the same sleeve as the gas pipe not preferred route, gas pipe to meter in stud/counter battened wall needs to be ducted and metal plated, the gas pipe doesn't look like you double wrapped it in yellow gas tape, the notch isn't 10% 0f the span of the joist width, gas pipes should not be run in mineral wool insulated walls ceilings if it was to ever leak the gas holds in the fibbers and well you can guess the rest !

  • @Heatking

    @Heatking

    7 ай бұрын

    To be fair. The Earth bonding route, I just pushed through the gas pipe hole, the stud wall for the gas pipe to meter isn’t up yet so can sort the battens etc.. and the notch I used. Was an existing one, I’m not going to cut more notches out further down the joist when there’s already one cut there. The mineral wool in the walls/ceiling, i don’t recall seeing any but I could be wrong. 🫶🏽🫶🏽
