I make a school boy error 🤦🏽‍♂️plumbing and boilers! #plumber
In this episode we have a outside tap which has burst, which i decide to repipe.
A vertical radiator which has pin holed, strangley an alliminium one!
and a plinth heater to remove in a kitchen, I show how I get around leaving dead legs in the system.
And finally an aritston boiler which i diagnose wrong!

1:11 Vertical radiator change
4:52 Burst
6:26 Plinth heater removal
10:15 Missed diagnosis

Rapid blue on the rad valves, also might save you some hassle with call backs, always vent a column radiator opening the flow only first and have the air vent opposite side to it, release the air, then open the return valve, had a problem on a stelrad column and was told that by their tech support.

With the leaking schrader valve on the expansion vessel, do you ever replace just the valve or tighten it, or just replace the whole vessel? I’ve removed them with the schrader valve tool and replaced it with a car tyre schrader valve with a bit of silicone grease and had good results. Saves the hassle of replacing the whole expansion vessel.
