TRUE CRIME PLAYLIST: • True Crime Body Language
On Feb. 25, 2020, Sarah Boone, then 42, was arrested by Orange County deputies after detectives said 42-year-old Jorge Torres Jr. died after being zipped into a suitcase and left inside for hours. The incident reportedly happened at the couple's Winter Park home, near Aloma Avenue and Goldenrod Road. According to investigators, Boone told them that she and Torres had been drinking wine and playing hide-and-seek, when she claimed she went upstairs and passed out in her bed. She said she woke up hours later to her cellphone ringing multiple times. She then reportedly realized her boyfriend was possibly still inside the suitcase, and when she unzipped it, she found Torres unresponsive and not breathing. Boone called 911 and deputies arrived to find Torres dead.

The worst part of this is her complete lack of shock and concern he's dead in her apartment. That is so weird.
One of the reasons for her arms and hand movements is that she is not wearing a bra! Not something a man may pick up on but most women would.

Her ex-husband must be thanking his lucky stars that he is the ex and is still alive.
Believe it or not, I got a new set of luggage when my daughter was in her early twenties. The biggest one in the set was so big, my daughter said she could fit inside of it, so she climbed in and I zipped it up and wheeled her around the living room for a little bit. It was just for fun, but we also weren't playing "hide & seek". So yes people, sometimes adults DO put people in a suitcase just for fun, we just don't LEAVE them in there like a psycho!
She says we were playing hide and seek, right? to the officer like that's what everybody does after making a puzzle. good grief.
Mark Bowden just caused Penelope Pitstop to be the #3 trending google search.

She somehow talked him into getting into the suitcase as some kind of game. Then she made up the hide and seek scenario. I think she was going to say he was hiding in the case during hide and seek and then realized that he could not have zipped it up... and so the hide and seek idea no longer fit but she continued with it anyway.

Most people don't know she said "I put Jorge in the suitcase" Most of the time the first thing someone says is the truth, then after they think about it they may change some details in their story.
The main thing that always made me scratch my head was to my knowledge you aren’t supposed to help the other person into a hiding spot when playing “hide & seek”. Then once you find them you take turns being “it” - lol.
Lived together three years but doesn't know if he's got health issues? Lies!
She got me at "we decided to play hide and seek." 😂
Hide and seek is I hide you find me, not I help you hide in a suitcase....
A news article said she was investigated ?4 years prior? for putting a CHILD in a suitcase & posting the video online, people who seen the video reported it. The cops said when they investigated, the child “gave consent” so since they weren’t injured, they did not arrest her - first, HOW can a child “give consent”??? And 2nd, they obviously should’ve arrested her.

That was her son. They talked to him and he said that it was his idea and he wanted his mom to take a picture of him in the suitcase, which she did and posted it to Facebook. I wonder if that's how she got George in there... let me zip you up in there and then I'll take a picture of you. Man I'm sure he regretted that in about 3 seconds. If she somehow gets out of prison before her 9-year-old son is an adult she should definitely have only supervised visits if that. But I don't think she'll be out for quite a while, at least 20 years😔

My first red flag was the first question, she's asked what happened and instead of focusing on the BODY in a SUITCASE, her first response was just "oh yeah we were doin puzzles..."
Total revenge act made possible by Alcohol. From what I’ve read, most likely they were upstairs and around 10:45 PM, with Sarah and Jorge both heavily intoxicated and fighting, Sarah somehow temporarily rendered Jorge unconscious maybe with a bat. Then somehow she was able to place his small body in the large suitcase and fully zip it up. Then, around 11:15, she managed to roll the suitcase with him in it down the staircase. He regained consciousness sometime in the suitcase and is later seen begging for his life in the 2-minute video. In this video Sarah is shown sadistically mocking him in a heavily slurred voice while he is suffocating. This video demonstrates malice of forethought one of the elements necessary for a 1st degree murder conviction.

Some further thoughts of these type of cases. These up close and personal, real-life situations, brought forth by modern technology highlight a greater common concern which is the utter destructive force of Alcohol when mixed with emotionally unstable individuals and all having the potential to end in the same way. How many of these relationships, like Sarah and Jorge, as I write this, currently exist and how can society best deal with these time bomb relationships just waiting for the right triggers to detonate. Hopefully there’s a better solution than imprisonment or at some point in the future we may find our society with more than half its population in prison. To this end, if the people in this society were to reinstate a spiritual compass then maybe this case would have ended differently. In the past western nations have relied on the Bible for this compass. But nations like America have systematically removed this compass resulting in the Inevitable moral decay which in turn directly affects the overall safety, happiness, and national security of the people in that nation. Maybe a better solution is not more prisons but incorporating a Manhattan-like project designed to re-incorporate this compass back into the nation’s moral fiber thus saving that nation from total anarchy. What do you think?

She says she tried CPR and he gurgled but when she phoned 911 she said he was stiff with rigor mortis ?
The ONE thing that she keeps on repeating is "I fell asleep and forget he was still in the suitcase". Now some storytelling advice: As a writer you are being told not to have run-on sentences for several reasons. One of them is that the actions are, most of the time, happening ONE AFTER THE OTHER, not at the exact same time. They are chain reactions; one thing happens, and as a result of that, something else happens. This is why and and and sentences often get marked by the editor. So can you fall asleep and WHILE being asleep, forget that he was in the suitcase? If you're asleep, you're unconscious. You are not thinking in that sense at all. Only time she could have forgotten about this small, little detail is when she went upstairs to lay down - which is weird) - or right after she woke up - which is probably what she is trying to say, and what makes way more sense; that sweet moment when you wake up and have not all the apps up and running yet. No calendar with appointments, memories, problems, etc. But that moment seems suuuuuuper long with her. Probably the alcohol though. Right? The OHE bottle they shared? Sure. 🤭
@TiffyVella1
Жыл бұрын
No way was this the result of one bottle of wine, shared between two adults. I don't wish to target alcohol as the sole excuse for the events that followed as there are likely to be a whole lot of contributing factors, but I've been watching to see if a bottle-count was done, and haven't seen anything said about that. That sweet moment you mention lasts all of 3 seconds tops for me, and maybe most people. With Sarah, it seems to have lasted until 1pm, maybe, going by her vague comments here? It's not very believable.
I suspect the reason she's keeping the arm close to the body is because she's not wearing a bra and is self-conscious. If she's nervous, she might be perspiring, thus the Trec arms

Sarah's ultmate plan is to get the ring from his parents bc she think she is smooth enough to pull it off. She's contacting co workers, probation officer, old job bc she feel important to these ppl. She is delusional in thinking this is her time to shine and make everyone believe her lies and feel sorry for her bc they all loved Jorge.
I don’t know anything about this case, but I will say this: if she planned to kill him, she did a terrible job of coming up with a story/mode of murder. 2 adults playing hide and seek and one willingly gets into a suitcase and the other zippers it up (not how you play hide and seek btw). I mean REALLY???

Who did she think was going to buy her story? Did she think this was plausible?
She screwed herself by getting video of him in the suitcase as she taunted him. Did she tape him when she was in a blackout? Otherwise why would she not have deleted the video before calling the police? This thing is so sick partly because she infantilized her bf and tried to be his savior. In her interrogation the male cop points out that this was what probably led to her flipping out... "everyone's got their limits, " i think he said. Thanks so much and happy Thanksgiving

The "egg protection" stance you guys are referring to is more of what a woman instinctively does when they aren't wearing a bra. Imho. It's what we do. Especially when they aren't the perkiest. Any other women out there agree?

I love the interplay between Chase and Mark in these videos. Chase, I think, is just as amused by Mark as I am. Mark would make a great college professor. He's so artful, and Chase is very factual with neurological types of information, always teaching, too. Mark, you are indeed too smart for your own good. I love you.
She's a smoker and knows exactly where her cigarettes are. She would not have gone 12 hours without a cigarette. I bet she sat and smoked until she figured out what to do.
Would be interesting if you guys could do a video of an interrogation where someone is being falsely accused and maybe falsely convicted and show us the video and break down how you see they were actually telling the truth and the investigators missed the truth.

Yeah I wish to see something similar 😅 an honest person with solid alibi being interrogated. And even better, after that the same person in another case interrogated and lying their ass off unicorn tales. The comparison would be facinating
What adult is going to play hide and seek and crawl in a suitcase. Come on

Some sort of fetish, perhaps?
"Hide and Seek," by defnition, requires that the seeker not know where the hider is. One cannot knowingly zip someone into a suitcase and even remotely pretend to be looking for them. Why she was allowed to continue this fabrication without being challenged on it baffles me. Q: "That's an unusual way to play H&S. What are your rules for that game?"
This is one of the craziest people I have ever seen. And she absolutely meant 'RUN' how it sounded, but because she claims his family hates her & are totally gonna kill her. Especially Now. NOT A lot of folks playing with most or a full deck would suggest that to the cops, even in their paranoia. Most know better. But she seems to blurt out inappropriate interruptive endings to others sentences all the time. Now she is wordy & seems smart & organized in thought in her written word like someone said, but was also highly narcy, demanding & manipulative, chastising her SIXTH public defender for not keeping as much contact as she would like. Her her her her, her & her sons birthdays she's missed, the neverending whining of the impact on her, how she'd like to 'move on with her life', The audacity, when she ended someone else's in a drunken stupor. People can be book intelligent & dumb dingy childlike blonde at the same time. Especially when it suits their manipulative needs, & they're a raging drunk. You can't tell me that the alcoholism was the only thing going on for these 2 either. Maybe crack?

Mark, She says “blue eyed white dragon,” not “belied.” He was Latino... she’s obviously pale & blue eyed. But I loved the mythology lesson AND my copy of Shakespeare’s Sonnets was already right on my coffee table... talk about crazy synchronicity. Loved the episode, guys. Thank you.

I caught that too
She's scared of the family all right. Particularly of when they find out that she admitted to zipping Jorge into the suitcase to let him 'squirm,' and then went to bed for the night. I believe that torture has something to do with this.
