Try this: In an American accent, say 'Small step for a man, small step for man'. You'll notice that the 'a' is almost imperceptable unless you go out of your way to emphasise it. He was tremendously brave and famously cool under pressure.

l literally only watch this show for David Mitchel. thanks for uploading
Have not watched Television for literally 24 years till 2017. This kinda makes it all worth it. Well, this and Shameless.
Love these shows and all the comedians!😂😂😂
When Neil Armstrong said he could pick up the dust with his toe, he's talking about how, with a deft touch of the end of his foot, he can make the dust "pick up" off of the ground because of the low gravity.

Romesh was uncharacteristically quiet... which is a shame because he's hilarious.

Arvind he generally seems to get quiet in panel shows like this. Standup is his thing and he's brilliant at it, but he doesn't seem to shine in these types of shows as easily...

keep them coming!! We don't get these Great Fun shows in America!!
fun fact the dust on the moon has properties which make it much different to earth sand or whatever, it has sharper edges due to there being no real frictional activity on the moon so it tends to hold its shape more when disturbed, meaning armstrong could have just scooped some up on the end of his boot I reckon
“I do have a dog, but I’m also a comedian and I do jokes, that’s where we differ” Fuckin get that up ya lol

they forgot the best part of Pete Conrad's walk on the moon. When he stepped from the pad onto the surface of the moon, he said, "Ooh is that soft and queasy" to win a $500 bet with a friend that they didn't script what to say when you step off the ladder.
Ramesh was highly underused in this.

***** "Yes, idiot" - The irony is palpable.
They were worried about the texture of the surface of the moon - they were seriously concerned that the dust was so thick that they might sink into it. That was unlikely once the lander came down and didn't sink, but the depth and consistency were still a real question.
hugh hefner's third wife said of his naked body, "are you going to iron that?"
I've never heard Richard swear so much! Mickey is fookin' awesome, he's a real gor blimey, right geezer cockney.

20:09 the toe of the boot. he lifted his boot when he said it and the powdery surface came with it.

I knew the second they got to the "I couldn't give a shit" quote that it was Romesh.

You're dicing with death aren't you? (puts yootoob hat on) "you said black! go burn you crosses somewhere else RACIST!" To be fair though you should be whiteballed for these revolting slurs ;-)
I really thought that David would pick-up the fact that Micky said “how is he feeling the Earth”...I think he might be confused, I’m fairly confident that the entire conversation was based upon the assumption of the statement being made on the moon.
Romesh Ranganathan looks like Jack Whitehall in brown-face.
Try this: In an American accent, say 'Small step for a man, small step for man'. You'll notice that the 'a' is almost imperceptable unless you go out of your way to emphasise it. And Neil Armstrong was not dumb, he was (like all astronauts) a well educated and very astute fellow. Not to mention his enormous brass balls. He was tremendously brave and famously cool under pressure.
I guess in UK they don't refer to the end of boots as the "toe." That's what Neil meant.
I love transition vamp
Haha Mickey's impression of Jason Manford, talking about Whippet's and flat caps, obviously not realising they're usually associated with Yorkshire.. Jason's from Manchester lol

The Katyusha wasn't a rocket, it was the platform from which the rockets were launched.
Surely the Neil Armstrong quote just meant the lunar surface was fine enough that he could stir it up with the toe end of his boot? Like a fine sand as opposed to a heavier dirt?
If I had been the first person on the moon. My message would have, been "Ahhhh there's hundreds of them, run Buzz, save yourself".

That theme tune is fucking brilliant!
34:41 that, fuck sounds like a melody to me.
I really love David Mitchell, I'd rank him as one of my top 5 favourite comedians and hed probably be towards the top of that list, however I really don't think he's at his best in this, I think he thrives on the panel, not mediating the panel, it dulls his edge reading from a teleprompter.
In America, the end of the boot is called the toe. I suspect you call it the same when you have to, but for whatever reason, we use it this way quite naturally.
Such a shame they scrapped this, it was was one of the very few panel games worth watching.
At around 23:10 what British person is David making reference to?
