5.0 - My absolutely favorite games. You can pry them out of my cold dead hands.
4.5 - Love this game! At the same time missing something that would make it a 5. Could be hard to table, lacking variability, a little light, etc.
4.0 - Really great game, almost always keeping, although has meaningful complaints as to what takes away from the experience.
3.5 - Really enjoyed, don't love it, may lose out to better games but the idea of never playing again is a bit sad.
3.0 - A good game, would play and suggest with the right people, if I never played it again wouldn't lose any sleep.
2.5 - A game I'd play again , but will never suggest it myself
2.0 - A game I don't want to play again
1.5 - A game I can't find any reason to recommend
1.0 - A game that is just bad.

Is it bad the first thing I noticed was that the warpgate tiles were the wrong way round?

Great analysis! I agree a lot with what you said. I enjoy it a little more than you did as I generally don’t like area control or heavy games, and so this works great. It was one of my first Kickstarters and I am happy to hear they will update the cards in 2022! Thanks for raising its profile.

Thanks for the review. This is one of my favorite games, probably because of how light and quick it is, and how easy it is to teach others. It's a good entry point for some newer or casual players. Plus, the solo option is awesome. Looking forward to the expansion!

That's the one :-) I think I always forget that one because so many of these games don't thematically have that even if they technically do.

Alex, turn on english subtitles, then mute the video and skip to Final Thoughts. That's what I did, and it was a bewildering funny mess! "Saussage-fries" was my favourite. Made my day

Excellent review. I play it mostly 2p and I think it's great. I've tried it once at 3p, 4p and 6p. I can't recommend it 6p, it's too slow and you're mostly limited to interacting with your neighbors. I lean towards 2 and 3 as the best player counts; at 4p there's a bit of distance between the two players who are opposite, so they don't get to interact much. It may also be a me thing: it's my turn more often the fewer opponents I have ;-) I also prefer the reduced chaos and reduced politics of 1v1, but can easily tolerate it and often enjoy it at 3p. It sometimes gets to be a bit much at 4. A few corrections: The diamond-shaped starting tiles with the red, green and blue blobs on them should be rotated 180 degrees, such that the blue/black arms sticking out of them point towards the center of the board and align with the sector boundaries, and the colored blob bleeds towards the edge. (This holds at all player counts.) They should also be flipped upside down, such that the side with a planet on them is facing up. (This holds for 1 to 4 players.)

Thanks! And ignore anything you see here as setup... When I setup for a review I don't always go through the correct setup steps :)

Thank you for this video! Starship Samurai does a similar thing with its action multiplier tokens. It's another underrated game.

Was happy to see this game get some coverage. Another thing to note is this all fits in a pretty slim box, so not hogging much shelf space. The expansion is supposedly going to hopefully fit in the box as well, as it will be replacing cards I guess instead of only adding more content

Yes, good point on the small box. Tends to fit in that extra space if you use a kallax

When you use the phrase 'rinse and repeat' in a review it downgrades the game in my thoughts about it! It makes me suspect the game is routine and lacking in variety.

I can hear that. I would say that some of the actions are less exciting than I would like but still, it's a middle of the road review anyway. Lots I like, lots I'm fine with.
