Walking in Ennis, Montana - Winter Treadmill Walking Tour and Travel Guide - Montana 4k Virtual Walk

#Montana #walkingtour #citywalks #virtualwalk #treadmillworkout #treadmillscenery #virtualtreadmill
In today's walk, I take you around the little town of Ennis, MT on a virtual walk on sunny winter day. In the summer, Ennis hums with activity. People visiting Yellowstone National Park pass through and there are tons of Fisherman looking hook some trout in the Madison River. It's one of Montana's blue ribbon trout streams. It's a quiet Sunday morning as we walk through town. The wind blows a bit but not too badly. The main street has great restaurants, fly shops, museums, and other great places as well as a couple of parks. There are hotels and vacation rentals on either side of town and beyond. Just about an hour from Bozeman and West Yellowstone, Ennis has a wondefully quiet small town feel. The mountains rise up in the distance and the snowy peaks display the wildness and ruggedness of the area.

Wikipedia: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ennis,_...
Ennis is a town in Madison County, Montana, United States, in the southwestern part of the state. The population was 838 at the 2010 census.
In 1863, gold was discovered in Alder Gulch. This brought on "the rush." Two months later, William Ennis homesteaded the site along the Madison River that was soon to become the town of Ennis, his namesake.
In 1886, a mystery creature was noted for making livestock kills in the Madison Valley. A local rancher, Israel Ammon Hutchins, finally shot and killed the beast, after accidentally shooting one of his cattle, which was on the other side of some brush. A local taxidermist stuffed the canine. Jack Kirby (Hutchins' Grandson) tracked the mount to a Museum in Pocatello, Idaho, circa 2007.
The 2003 Ennis shooting took place on June 14 of that year, when 44-year-old George Harold Davis opened fire outside the Silver Dollar Saloon bar on Main Street. He killed one man and injured six others. He then fled to Missoula County, where he was finally stopped and arrested by police. He was sentenced to eleven life terms for the crime..
The Thexton Ranch is located approximately 7 miles (11 km) south of Ennis, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
U.S. Route 287 runs through town, following the Madison River as it descends from the town of West Yellowstone.

I much prefer them to the nature walks to be honest, although I understand you have to cater for all subscribers. As You said though, it's the squeaky wheel that gets the oil! So i'm just doing a slight squeak!! Haha. Seriously though many thanks again for the effort you put in to cheers us up in these challenging times!

I so appreciate your making these walks. It makes my time on the treadmill fly by. I enjoy quiet walks with occasional spontaneous comments. Walking as an act of discovery is more fun. I'd like to be told what a building was once we had arrived there rather than be told that it was an upcoming destination. You don't need to apologize for wind noise or traffic noise. You do an excellent job of managing it as well as can be expected & its just part of walking outside. Thank you

Enjoying the snow and the walk here in sunny Busselton, Western Australia. 34 degrees C here so the snow is a treat. Been enjoying your walking videos for a while so I thought I should comment. Dream of visiting Montana, being from east coast of Virginia. Loved seeing a snowy walk in this small town. Keep it up! A favorite form of entertainment for me as I'm not big on tv, movies or news. I too love seeing some of the house styles in the small residential side streets. Looks like a nice place, Montana is one place of love to visit in the USA. It’s great that they’re legalizing medical marijuana.👍🏻. That bull moose would have been crazy to come across in the wild, we have them here too but I’ve never seen a wild one yet. I just finished watching Yellowstone and some of the near by places you’ve named were common. Great tour my friend, nice stable footage and great sound👍🏻😊

It is wonderful walking tour in Ennis. It is great explanation about the town. It helps a lot to understand. The video is really incredibly smooth. Are you using Scotty stabilizer?

Obrigada. -H

Hello Henry, this is my 3rd time watching you walking in Ennis. It is a lovely little town in beautiful mountainous Montana. I noticed in some of the towns you walk small or big there aren't any Mcdonald's, Burger King's, some other fast-food restaurants, etc. Just curious. Oh, and I don't mind if you clear your throat, cough, whatever I just enjoy your walks.

Thanks so much Anna and yes, many small towns out here lack fast food. The population of the town and surrounding areas just won't support them. Kind of nice actually. Thanks for watching so many times and for the lovely comment -H

Options are pretty limited but there is a hotel south of town that is fairly nice. I can’t remember the name of it offhand. It’s just across the river. Have a great trip. - H

If you mean Madison Valley Campground, their website says, Madison Valley Campground has 18 RV sites. We can accommodate the average size camper and motorhome and we also have a few sites that can accommodate RVs over 45 feet. There are four frost-free sites for the late-season hunter, year-round traveler or long-term guest. Each site offers water and sewer hookups with some sites offering both 30 and 50 amp power while other have either 30 or 50 amps. If you are having trouble finding availability for your desired amps, please feel free to call. We usually can help by providing an extension or converter.

When you identify the mountain range to the east of the Madison river as the gallatin range are you sure that isn’t the Madison Range?
