Great video! Will this work for a V70 with no 6 cd changer ? If not do you have a video or option on adding bluetooth and usb to the standard radio ? Or even replacing tge standard unit with a touch screen unit... V70 looks like a 1.5 din to me. But if you say it's "network" then swapping the head unit must not be possible, no?

For best sound and integration we recommend using GROM-BTD Bluetooth Dongle that is designed to work with the GROm-MST4 car kit for Volvo XC90 stereo.

It’s a laser coming out of the fibre which you should never look at directly as it may coarse permanent eye damage.

Looks awesome and not to complicated. Where did you place the microphone? That was not releveled on the video.

Very cool, nice playlist! My 2011 Xc60 T6 takes calls, but no music. Do you have a solution for that model that enables steering wheel control for music? (Skip, etc). Use cases : spotify playlist from Android phone, regular phone calls, Zoom calls (on app), occasionally device files (audio). Would love to find a solution. I love the car, I need to control music... And those Zoom calls/meetings pay for it all. Thanks!

yes it supports iPhone via USB for music playback, charging and control from car stereo and steering wheel buttons.

Hello, this does still keep the great sound from Dynaudio? And also, does it auto connect to phone when you start the car? Do you guys have an option for Digital Radio (DAB), stupid Norwegian Radio standard😅

Hello, yes it will integrate with your vehicle's sound system. It will also auto connect to the phone once you start the car. We do not have DAB module anymore, sorry.

I followed these steps exactly on my 2009 XC90, verified that the fiberoptic lights are all going in the right direction. I can connect via bluetooth and my phone shows it is playing music, but nothing comes over the radio. Any suggestions or troubleshooting tips?

Hi guys. Got very the same XC90, but with on-board phone. Meaning. I do have answer / reject buttons on the steering wheel and the phone itself next to coffee holder. I am about to purchase MST-4 with BT, but - how I will control the phone? Will the answer / reject button work? I dont need the phone itself, will remove it, but - is grom ready for that implementation?

Hello Tomas, with GROM-MST4 and Bluetooth Dongle you will be using the steering wheel and car stereo track up/down buttons to accept or reject the phone call.

@@tomasvrabecCZ You will have to use our mic. You can try to cut and solder into the factory mic, however we do not provide the guidelines for it and cannot promise the quality in this case.

Is this compatible with the ‘06 xc90? It’s also a 6-cd changer. And does it render the first disc of the changer useless? If it’s compatible, this is exactly what I’ve been looking for.

For 2006 Volvo XC90 stereo with 6-CDs you will need the VOLXCO4 model of GROM-MST4 car kit. It is available here: gromaudio.com/store/most_adapters/grom-mst4-volxco4.html CD changer will be disconnected upon the connection of the GROM unit.

@@PollyBonanzas It is different, as for 2006 Volvo XC90 you will reuse the existing CD changer cable that is y=in your vehicle already.

Will this work on a volvo v50 from 2005? If yes do you have a tutorial how to install it?

It will work . Please double check to see if the stereo is 6CDs or Single CD. Based on that different model of GROM-MST4 car audio kit is needed. Yes it works for the iPhone.

Buyer beware, if for whatever reason your vehicle isn't compatible with the MST4, GROM will not refund you outside of 30 days. Prior to purchasing, they informed me that it should work in my 2012 MINI after dealer reprogramming. Turns out they were wrong and it isn't compatible at all (my car lacks the necessary optical connections) and since it's outside of 30 days they are offering me a pathetic $80 buyback for a $280 product :(
