To fully understand his remarkable abilities, you must understand that he is self taught, his father went to prison when young and his mother left him. He’s literally the embodiment of work ethic and capturing your own dream. And he’s SITTING DOWN doing this!

@@DD-wd7ku the overall performance is 9 and a half years. his handling of the two voices is incredible. using two distinct techniques, one lyric (bocelli) and the other more modern canto (celine), very difficult to perform at the same time. the only defects I noticed are, they are its general diction in Italian, for example the S used differently and pronounced like Z and the atra, the breath is not always impeccable, example: breathing in the wrong points of the song is not only not it is correct but counterproductive for the sound that is given to the song. like where there was supposed to be a long support in several notes, he breathes. otherwise he is a great world artist and will go a long way. unfortunately having studied lyric and chamber for 11 years, when I listen to a singer, how does it sound to my ears, how not everyone does.🤷‍♀️

Excellent analysis. I have seen this video countless number of times, and you are the first vocal coach who immediately picked up that he had the capability to use his voice in another way (which he did with his operatic lower register) by commenting on his lack of use of facial muscles when he began to sing. You are very knowledgeable and great in communicating your analyses of singers.

I love seeing these vocal coaches nit pick the "opening space" for that particular note... And then brain breaks a few seconds after. Because after their brain breaks... They couldn't nit pick anymore due to the immense RANGE he is doing. Im glad someone realize that the reason for that small opening was him holding back keeping the feminine soft yet robust high notes.

As a Filipino, I heard that Marcelito had no formal training in singing. Like many Filipino singers - amateurs or professionals, we learn the rudiments of singing by listening to various music and by imitating great singers. GOD has gifted Marcelito wonderful talents which he has patiently developed. Again, HUGE thanks!!! LOVE . . .

So, wondered if you have yet watched Marcel do, We Are the Champions on American Idol with Simon C ? It was totally amazing. I watched Marcel performing in the Philippines (Idol), and then in America.... I then found myself seeking out theoretical explanation's on Marcel's technique, skills etc., from professional's like yourself on KZread. I just felt I needed further explanations on his vocals and techniques, so watched loads and loads of videos. Then, I came across your channel, & you answered all the questions I had about Marcel's vocals. Simon C really pushed Marcelito's skills and 'act'.... Thats how Marcel ended up performing Queen on the TV show. Your knowledge, techniques and vocal skills are also amazing. Thankyou so much.

This accounts for the controlled facial expression and release at the end. Free flowing singers are letting their emotion control the song whereas Marcelito is using deliberate and meticulous muscular transitions, backed up with controlled airflow. His start in life was so hard, a baby whose mother abandoned him, father was in prison and he had to live with him in there until he broke free and started living on the streets, he got a job looking after chickens and used to sing to them. Eventually, someone took him under his wing. A story that would have crushed most people, but he focused on learning to sing any way he could. No, he is not formally trained, he just has a good ear and can mimic the voice and has the vocal ability to do it. His is a bad story made good. But, nowhere near the quality and abilities of Dimash. Like your feedback, it's very instructive. You don't talk over people's heads.

Good Morning from Texas! This is the first time I have watched one of your reactions. I would like to start by saying that I think you are an amazingly beautiful woman! Also, your facial expressions are a lot of fun to look at. Marcelito is a unique talent. There isn't anything he can't sing. He sings both parts to Despacito, Fonzi and Daddy Yankee. There are so many songs you can react to that are totally amazing when it comes to Marcelito. If you want to watch something really funny, watch Marcelito do the remote control challenge. By the way, I see that you have reacted to Morissette also. Both of them are from the Philippines. Morissette has many amazing songs on the Wish Bus. It was a pleasure watching your reaction!

Eu adoro essas reações, mesmo sem entender quase nada, pois não falo inglês kkkk ... I love these reactions, even without understanding almost anything, because I don't speak English 😆😂🤣

Subbed because this was such a fun reaction. BTW - Next great Canadian singer is Faouzia. The stripped live version of her song “Tears of Gold” is a good showcase for the 20 year old’s voice, her songwriting, and her a Moroccan heritage. Enjoy.

You are so entertaining! One of the best reaction videos I’ve seen ❤️ Marcelito was self taught as an orphan in the street. He said that when he was scared in the street, he would sing. He found his family when he appeared on AGT in his country.

Besides Gary Valenciano's "Spain" cover, a couple of other popular Wish Bus videos are Morissette Amon's "Akin Ka Na Lang" (use the "cc" button), and "Rise Up", and for another good singer from the Philippines who also does vocal impressions, see Katrina Velarde "Impersonating Singers 3 (Burn)", which is fun, or her cover of "Reflections". Marcelito lived on the streets of Manilla, and taught himself how to do this - then he entered Philippine's Got Talent and won.

aww ive missed ya! It was only a matter of time before you were introduced to Marcelito. As awesome as he is, I hate to compare him to him..but it ends up making me THAT much more impressed by Dimash and his ability. It's as if Dimash is literally 5+ different MASTERED voices, as opposed to Marcelitos two. P.S again..You're the BEST!

Besides what everyone else has said that I agree with , one thing I haven't read yet is how pretty you are , your red hair and blue eyes are just so nice to go along with your silky smooth complexion !!
