Im so happy Im not a singer nor a musician. I can only appreciate this mans talent and enjoy it fully. To me this is pure talent regardless of technicalities. This is something I don't get to see or hear everyday. Considering everything this man went through in his life and still able to achieve this. I am awed of this mans gift.

It's my understanding that he taught himself this song by listening to and mimicking a recording. His performance is gorgeous considering that he requires a translator to carry on a conversation in English even though he understands it well but has trouble speaking it. He speaks the Philipino broken english, but being self taught is also singing in English, Italian and Chinese. Possible more by now. He grew up on the streets from age 7, and now is married and a father! His ambition serves him well in whatever he does!

I admire his ability no matter what any vocal coach would say or not, in my mind he has shown all the World how a God given talent can do, how many people around the World just enjoys listening to his voice. And Simon Cowell can live in shame for the rest of his life.

I am now officially a FAN of Freya Casey after watching most of her reviews and comments...

Marcelito doesn't speak english nor italian sings both male and female voice wow that's talent!!!

These Filipinos singing on the wish bus are self-taught. They do not have voice coaches as most of them are from amateur television contest winners.

I think most of them knew they have their own trademark voice. I just notice (not all the time) that when you go under voice lesson or voice coaching, your voice will be come more ballad or operatic.. TRY TO NOTICE SOME OF THE SINGERS WHO WENT UNDER VOICE LESSONS SCHOOL OR COMPANY, THEY PRODUCE MORE OPERATIC AND BALLAD ARTIST. WHICH IS SOME POINT THERE'S NO UNIQUENESS ON THEIR VOICE.

He is gifted

Marcelino Pomoy is talented,very humble person and from the Philippines.

Do remember that Marcelito likes to sing it like Celine or Bocelli (though IMO often closer to Josh Groban). So the "lead us to a PLACE" pronunciation in beginning for instance is in the way Celine is known for.

One thing for sure Marcelitto he did not have any vocal training but the amazing thing he can sing two voices that even vocal couch or the singers cannot sing two vouces themselves that is what god gave him!

Please don't keep stopping the video and commenting but wait till the end and don't forget one big thing...he doesn't speak a lot of English or Italian but is singing in both languages and both voices. Just give him the respect he deserves.

Thanks man. I can totally relate with you. That's what im tryin to say too, i hate it everytime they stop the video...these "vocal coaches" are full of themselves most of the time lol.

He was a street orphan as a child, and didn't have an education, let alone lessons in English. He used to sing to himself as a child, before he slept, because he didn't have a mother.

Srly for the critics here who say so much about the reaction, i think you shouldn't be watching reaction videos, if your gonna react like that atleast shes honest and shes giving hint not like the other who sugarcoats and is not even singers.. Shes reacting just what the description of the video is REACT. and to those who asked if she could do better, you should have visit her page and listen to her voice before you commented those pathetic comments. Shes an angel, she has a beautiful voice😘

in 2011 he won Philippines got talent for singing it too wet of The prayer by himself a female voice in a male's voice in Opera I don't know how somebody can do that sitting down it must really be hard I can't sing a lick your reactions are very helpful

You do realize that he pretty much is singing phonetically, right ? His Italian pronunciation is better than Botticelli too. These are not his native languages! You can't fault him on the enunciation of his vowels. He's getting better at speaking English but still travels with a translator...That's what makes him even more amazing.

Remember English isn't his first language. In Tagalog, Filipino there vowels are all long they don't use the short vowels sounds.

No vocal teaching. Grew up homeless for most of his life. Singing a duet by himself. I’d say any minor technical flaws could be overlooked. Let alone singing live while sitting down. I understand vocal coaches this is their job to analyze but many vocal coaches disregard the whole picture of the performance. How many people could actually do what Marcelito can do..... at his level.

“Minor technical flaws” are what any professional singer reacting to a video of singing are looking for though... and it only helps people when these things are pointed out so “overlooking” or disregarding them isn’t helpful at all, if you wanted a “vocal coach” who will sit and listen and talk about how beautiful they sound there are plenty youtubers out there who do just that

these voice coaches will never be satisfied it doesn't matter how nice the person sings they always have to find fault I think it's based on personal envy. He is self-taught is sinking English and Italian and if I'm not mistaken he is from the Philippines that is remarkable within itself. she should be applauding him not finding fault with him. and have you notice these voice coaches ........they have to sing themselves meaning they are the centre of attention.....it seems to cringe them to have to say something nice...... I don't care .....I think this young man is absolutely fantastic he has got an incredible voice .......I wish him all the best in his career as a singer. my only advice to him would be don't listen to these voice coaches..... you're doing fine don't these voice coaches ruin you.

She did not know this person nor this persons history so she did not know where he is from or that he is self taught. She simply gave her opinion straight forward which is what a real singer would want. And if you would actually watch closely she gave him many compliments.
