Marcelito performed on America’s Got Talent, The Champions with Angelina Jordan, neither made it to the top 5 which is when I realized AGT is rigged! Marcelito is self taught, no classical training, really amazing voice!

It wasn't AGT where anybody can vote, it was a disastrous champions off shoot where a few so called super fans were allowed to vote. It was nothing like AGT as the champions was completely finished months before it actually aired. There were no live shows. Many of us already knew the outcome before it ever reached TV.

Marcelito actually came in 4th out of the 40 beginning contestants, and he was the only singer that made it to the top 5. The show was rigged in many ways….by Simon. I was in the audience. Marcelito was truly the audience favorite throughout the competition. But he received exposure in 129 countries and now has a US tour scheduled feb-April this year across several states.

@@jeanlynn8278 Angelina Jordan also gained a lot of exposer and ended up being signed by Republic Records at age 14 and at her Christmas concert stated there is an album coming out this year.

Every time I hear Marcelito Pomoy and Morissette Amon in a reaction video I promise myself to look up more of their work. The Philippines produce great singers. I will go watch the KZread video Land of the Best Singers in the World - The Philippines, 20 female singers.

Welcome to the magnificent world of Marcelito. He has the same reaction on everyone! I love his voice and I listen to him every day. He is God gifted with such a magnificent voice! He has never had vocal lessons and was homeless since age 7. He worked for food money and slept on the streets of the Phillipines until he won the Phillipines Got Talent at 24 in 2011. He has so much talent and appeared on America's Got Talent - the Champions in 2020 ( he came in 4th but should have won)! He is man of a lot of talent and is very humble. He is so very talented!!

Marcelito is well known for his solo duets, all self taught and no vocal training. He lived on the streets for a long time, but now he is becoming more well known. Very kind and humble man. You should watch beauty and the beast and time to say goodbye he is very talented

Marcelito is self taught - learned this from the radio - the 2 voices, the languages, Italian and English and then the English parts with Bocelli's accent! Remarkable!

Considering he is not fluent in English nor Italian just makes his performance so extraordinary. Bravo, Thank you Valerie, I love seeing peoples reactions. Having visited some Asian countries over the years on US Military bases, there was often a local band that sang in English but couldn't speak a word of it. His story is simply amazing and am so impressed every time I listen to him sing. Also love his Beauty and the Beast rendition.

People like him, Zhou Shen, and Dimash are just mind blowing.

Valerie, welcome to the world of Marcelito. Great response to what you were seeing and hearing. Once you got past the shock, you seemed to enjoy his unique skills. Professional but appreciative. Two personalities, Celine & Andrea, Female and male sounds precisely executed, in two languages - neither one his native language. I have made this comment before but would like to share it with you. I have a theory: Marcelito, is, of course, gifted with an unbelievably beautiful voice, but it is his BRAIN that can MEMORIZE exactly what he HEARS and his marvelous voice allows him to recreate it PRECISELY, even female voices, minute inflections in other singer's voices, and in accurate pronunciation of foreign languages. This is unprecedented. I believe it be genetic . . . or, more accurately, a gift from God. Cheers.

He has also sung “time to say goodbye “in a similar fashion, with male versus female. I think this is the most impressive example of him doing this though.

What he is doing is imitating the voice and delivery of the original singers impeccably in his own way and he does it good.

The technical difficulty of flipping between these to different styles and textures is insane. It is also a biological wonder to actually be able to readjust the larynx so fast

And doing two languages and sitting down. You should hear some of the other songs he sings in languages he doesn't even speak. Taught himself to sing while living on the streets listening to his radio?

He is the world’s greatest voice imitator. He can imitate the exact manner and voice of anyone he can hear. It’s strange that the sounds he can duplicate is because he has never had a voice lesson. As an abandoned child on the streets part of his survival was imitating sounds. Would you heard he did sitting. Loses lung capacity… Many singers can have male & female voices. No big deal. Only one can truly imitate and duplicate another artist.

So glad you compared Marcellito to Dimash. Dimash sings the notes but Marcellito definately brings the emotion and without being fluent in either language. And sitting down and effortlessly. Out of interest after watching him, I searched the original and in my humble opinion Marcellito wins every time. Everything he sings seems to be better than the original. He is one of the very few singers I would pay to see perform live. He is my secret crush lol

I have heard several vocal coaches say that he is mimicking Celine Dion not singing to a person that cannot sing it sounds like he's singing to me says he's never had any singing or voice lessons and he won Philippines got talent in 2011 for singing a duet of the prayer a female's voice in English and a male voice in Italian how does he ever keep them straight he also sings The power of Love

Marcelito is brilliant have a look at a guy called jovs barrameda another filipino talent from bacacay bicol region in the philippines, i'm an aussie and traveled to this country many times everywhere you turn theirs talent.

Loved your reaction. Others comments about his mouth this and that but that is how he thinks he can deliver the same sound as the singer he is imitating. Amazing voice range when he delivers different languages he doesn't even know because he was an abandoned uneducated child.
