I have been waiting for you to discover Angelina! Your channel is called the charismatic voice, and I personally have never heard a more charismatic voice than Angelina Jordan. She is able to put so many little details into her vocals, but never in a flashy, show off way. It always feels like it is exactly as it should be. I really hope to see you continue to check out more Angelina because she has a lot more to hear. She has been singing at pro level since she was 7, and with every new thing you hear, you are going to be impressed more and more by this incredibly rare and special talent. I also like to leave this little bio for new people just discovering Angelina so that you and your followers can learn a little more about her background and her kind and caring soul..... *Angelina Jordan* - Angelina Jordan was born Jan 10 2006 in Oslo, Norway. She is currently 14 - She began singing at the age of one and a half - At 2 or 3 she discovered Jazz through her grandmother and started studying all the greats from Jazz history with youtube videos. - *Why Angelina always sings barefoot* - When Angelina was 6 years old, she was traveling with her grandmother and met a poor girl with no shoes trying to make money on the streets. They talked for a while and discussed their dreams. It was cold and the girl had scars on her feet. Seeing this, Angelina took off her shoes and gave them to the girl. The girl thanked her and told Angelina she would pray for her every day. That day Angelina made a vow to always sing barefoot until all the children of the world could have shoes. To this day, whenever Angelina is performing in public, she sings barefoot as a way to remember that little girl and to remind us that there are less fortunate people in the world that could use our help. Angelina holds so true to this promise that she has sung outdoors in Norway, in december... barefoot. She has sung at a dinner with ex-pres Obama... barefoot. She went on AGT (possibly the biggest stage in the world)...bare foot. She made a promise at 6 years old, and has stuck strong to it for years. That takes a special kind of person. - She has always been the driving force behind her own singing career. It was her that asked her mother to take her to Norways Got Talent, where she auditioned at 7 years old and went on to win the whole show at just 8 years old. - In an interview after the show, when asked what she was going to do with the prize money, the 8 year old replied, "I would like to give it to orphans that need clothes and shoes" - When Angelina was 9 years old she became the youngest published author in Norway, when she wrote a book about the story of why she doesn't wear shoes when she sings. She donated proceeds from the sales of the book to help children in need. - The reason you may not have heard of her is because her parents are very protective of her childhood. They do not want her to be thrust into stardom before she has a chance to grow up as a normal child, and finish her education. They allow her to do a few select shows (mainly private and charity events) with a couple public shows every year when she is out of school. Her mother said in an interview that they have turned down 90% of the offers that come in. I have heard they have turned down offers from many major record labels and even disney. - Angelina has covered more than 120 songs and over 65 artists in the last 6 years. She always selects and arranges the songs herself... everything ranging from old classic jazz to modern pop. She is able to change her voice to match any song she sings and make it her own. (she can cover Amy Winehouse and Lana del Rey like nobody else) - Angelina has collaborated with some very big names over the last few years... Quincy Jones, Mark Ronson, David Foster, Alan Walker and many more. All of which heard her and were blown away by her talent. - Angelina has written three of her own original songs: "What is Life", "Shield" and "Oslo". (all are amazing...all can be found on youtube) In summary, Angelina Jordan is destined to be one of the greatest singers to have ever lived. This is just my opinion, but if you listen closely to any of her stuff you will hear the greatness. She sings with a natural style. There is no acting, no showing off, there are no unnecessary runs, or big belty notes just for the purpose of saying "hey look at me sing". She once said "when I sing I go into a magical world in my head", and you can always hear the results of that. When Angelina sings it is pure soul, pure emotion, pure music.

I'm a seventy year old musician. I've backed many singers. I've had a number of " Holy crow! " moments while accompanying both male and female vocalists. For me, Jordan is unique. Her voice has the emotional quality to raise goosebumps and cause tears to flow. An amazing talent with stage presence and humility. Brilliant!

Most of us don't comment on those return visits but I wanted to this time. Personally, I really loved it when you were stunned when you got goose bumps. It was also the video and song who Billie Eilish saw when she was around 12 and decided to pursue a career in music =)

Elizabeth, I've watched your video many times. It's so apparent that Angelina touched your heart right from the start but, somehow, you were able to "keep it together". Of course, until she slid up to that very high note. That's when your heart took over and accepted Angelina's voice hook, line and sinker! Our hearts react emotionally and our minds need time to figure out what's going on. Our heart can't wait for our mind to react but it does signal to our body that what is going on is wonderful. Goose bumps, tearing up, even a full crying episode, unable to speak, assuming a frozen posturing stance, all are indications that are telling you, "Wow, I love this very much!" That's what Angelina does to people. It's remarkable. The tone of her voice, the soulfulness that comes with it, the sincerity and love from Angelina's heart make it impossible to resist. Elizabeth, many people comment what will she be like in 5, 10, 20 years from now. I understand and pray that she continues to spread her love, through song, to all of humanity for many years to come. But, Elizabeth, she is there already! In fact, she's been there since she was 7 years old! Of course she's refining everything she does along the way and we should be seeing originals on a steady basis from now on. Her age is not a factor when she sings in regards to her emotional delivery but it is in her developmental stage as a teenager and we pray, with the guidance of her family in the forefront, she manages to maintain the love in her heart which radiates to everyone she touches. Please listen to Angelina sing Summertime (Ella Fitzgerald) in the final round of Norway's Got Talent when she was 8 years old. After that performance she eventually was chosen as the winner of the show. In fact, if memory serves me right, she garnered about 50% of the total vote among the finalists. Maybe you'll have second thoughts about watching an 8 year older (she turned 8 during the tournament) but, Elizabeth, this is not a "normal" 8 year older. In fact, it you choose to react to it, your analysis of her performance will be as if you are describing what a 40 or 50 years old singer just did. This video has surpassed 1 million views and I believe a lot of people like me come back to this video of yours because we enjoy listening to what you have to say and also enjoy watching your reactions. Thanks, Elizabeth! And, speaking about 1 million, your subscriber total is nearing that mark and congratulations are in order. My hope is that you read our comments. Responding to what we have to say would be nice and really appreciated but I understand you would requite a full staff of people to do that. So, we do hope you read our comments and get a feel of how we feel, in particular, about Angelina and her progression. Elizabeth, she still hasn't been officially marketed to the world yet (family decision) and even though she is contracted to Republic Records, Republic is adhering to the family's wishes and is low keying her promotion. But, she continues to treat us to music via tik tok. Some of the tik tok bits are actually really good.
