You are so right. This young Lady will not be denied. Everyone talks about how sweet she is and there is no denying that. But I also see a fierce tiger who knows what she wants and how to get it. When she did I put a spell on you her studio musicians called her “The Boss”.

"She has nothing to envy of past Divas," it has been said, by many well versed teachers and singer reactors. This is on another level!💖

she is unmatched in getting the feel of the song across to the listener. Even the songs creators can't match her take on the songs. It is really unbelievable, and aren't we glad to get to experience it as it unfolds.

I really don't remember a singer that always makes me feel the emotions and the meaning of a story.

Republic Records appears to be taking excellent care of Angelina. The pianist is multiple grammy winner Rob Christie, the studio director for Republic in LA.

This is only my own personal opinion, one of the things i love when Angelina does a cover, Angelina doesn't set out to enhance her own reputation,. Angelina pays tribute to the original artist and always adds more to the artists reputation. When i listen to Angelina's cover i always feel i understand the song and lyrics better, Angelina tells such a beautiful story and draws you into the song and that lets you appreciate the original artist even more. She has experienced heartbreak .. with the deaths of both of her grandfathers as well as her good friend Avicii. People say she's lived before regarding her voice .. "she's an old soul" they say .. well - if that is the case she has huge experience with love and loss and relationships built right into her DNA .. probably why she loved jazz so much .. it's melancholy and thoughtful.

I have been following her since she first appeared on Norway's Got Talent, the granddaughter I will never have. To me, she was born adult, not in body but in mind--knew her destiny from the cradle asnd controlling it fully ever since. I am not privy to her family's private life, but I do not imagine her having tantrums or demanding her own way. Just as I cannot imagine her becoming mainstream--why on earth would she want that? Does she want more money? fame? She has all she cares about. To mainstream, she would, as a singer's singer, have to give away her heart, become a performer, be scantily clothed like a Beyonce. If Angelina becomes mainstream, mainstream will have to shift to her, not her to it.

Always love your Angelina reaction/analysis videos. Your explanations add a lot of depth to the overall understanding of what makes her so special. Many of the things she does are so technically advanced, and yet so subtle, that most people (me included) do not pick up on them until they hear a song many times. You seem to hear it all. I imagine this is how she hears other singers as well. She manages to pick up on some very unique characteristics of other artists, and incorporate them into her covers in her own way. This is why she can cover some artists better than anyone. Amy, Lana, Adele, Billie Holiday..... nobody can top Angelina when covering those artists.

Rusty you are the MAN! Without you I doubt Angelina would have half of the Angels she has now. Don’t get me wrong, she’d get them on her own but not a fast as you’ve been able to achieve for a little girl to a young lady. We all hope this excellent reactor will re double her AJ content. Thank you for going back to Angelina. It's amazing to see how she's maturing without losing any of her unique passion. And she is still so young and has so much more growth to come! I agree with everything you said about the way she presents herself. Too many performers do over-sexualize their presence on stage, and it can often come across as a basic lack of confidence in their abilities to convey the emotions of the song. And that absolute surrender to the emotions of what she is singing is what makes her stand out.

She is always so delightful, astonishing and carismatic, ....AJ renditions are always impeccable.Thanks

I don't even know how I got suck into her page but been a subscriber cause I just love her reactions to a lot of the artist and she's just so down and honest about things. It's good to see some one so happy with music. I'm going low tone deaf so I'm trying to enjoy music more now before it slips away.

Angelina is arguably one in over 7 billion. Thumbs up young lady. Wonderful analysis IMHO.

I always look forward to your reactions and analyses. I loved this version by Angelina, and it was nice to see you appreciate her as much as an untrained listener like myself. I also liked your reference to her being classy. I truly believe that Angelina has no desire to be a "cookie-cutter" pop singer. Yes, she wants to be a star, but on her terms. Her desire is to spread love through music, and I'm sure her record label wants her to put out music that will sell and recoup their investment, but so far they are letting this prodigy set the course. When she finishes school, her songs will one day be classics.

Elizabeth, you are a treasure. Your insights, knowledge of the voice, and the anatomy of singing, always impresses, and informs me. One of the only artists I know that every single song I've ever heard her perform (and I think I've heard them all) I get goosebumps. Pretty much vocal perfection personified.

I wonder if anyone is ever going to talk about the harmonics she produce's. It sounds like an added effect, but can be heard live. If you listen these verses "Never love again", "Me like you do" and "Take me by the hand" It's like a harmonic vocal effect.

The part about the lower torso points out why it's so much harder to belt out something when you're seated. Thanks for that. As for the part about doing covers of iconic singers, Angelina has always been fearless! She has said that it's harder to do a cover than her originals because she feels a responsibility to do justice to the original. Yes she puts her own stamp on them, but with respect to the writer and the original singer she's covering.

Yes! That was my thought about her. She has class. She will be an excellent role model for girls.

Note how Angelina changes the emphasis in 'never love again'; she stretches 'Neverrr...', instead of 'Lo-o-o-ove...' I think it is an improvement to the meaning of the song. Angelina often does these changes in phrasing, always to the betterment of the song. She does her own arrangements, and she is a genius.

In this song Angelina does something I don't think I've ever heard before, from any singer. That is a vibrato-like sound made not by varying her vocal chords but by varying the amount of air she puts into the note, in a repeated more-then-less effect that sounds something like vibrato but is new, at least to me. I noticed it only occasionally in the opening few bars, up to the first belt. ??

Lok what she's wearing, CLOTHES! Look at all the ink, NONE! See all the piercings, NONE! Classically elegant with grace and humility while she rips your heart out!

Nice, detailed, insightful & passionate analysis of a true vocal artist that is once-in-a-lifetime, to me. This was my favorite Angelina song until she came out with her JazzyPop version of Michael Jackson's Billie Jean. Her genius arrangement made it a whole new song that I hope you will react to it.

Great head mind and heart mind reaction. Angelina's pattern of hitting resonance in her songs is clear in this cover. Her use of pronunciation as a musical tool is obvious to me in the beautiful song also. Her hearing must be extraordinary.

about Angelina's breathing... she is the first one who actually made me 'like' the actual sound of a singer breathing. you know how a harmonica makes music breathing out and in....for me, sometimes, Angelina's taking a breath seems musical too. Weird eh?

Her use of emotional breath technique and no pause seems unique and her signature style. Don't think I heard it much before. Thanks for the breakdown. It make me appreciate and enjoy the singer and Talent that much more. You have enlightened me and brought more depth to music for me. You are quite the talent yourself. She will not be a poptard or pyramid whore. Hopefully her talent will take her far without their blessing

Thank you for your reaction. I too would like her songs to be longer but often I have such an emotional reaction I'm not sure I could handle a seven song. Angelina is special and I am happy to see that you pick up on the fact that she is a total package and has all the elements to make her timeless. It is MORE than just talent. Add to that empathy, class and beauty. She is 1st class on many levels. When she performs it is intimate - a testament to her storytelling ability. Most of her covers are stripped down versions of the original with minimal accompaniment by piano or guitar and that is more than sufficient. Elizabeth, thanks for your usual brilliant analysis. AJ is 15 years old here. Wonder if you agree, but she has a lot in common with So Hyang. Her transition from chest to head voice is as controlled. Her breath technique is so sophisticated. Unlike So Hyang, she presses here when she belts -- but again, she's FIFTEEN. Imagine her at 20 or 25.

This perspective has probably been made by others in some form. If so, my commendations to them. This of course is my opinion. Angelina is a conveyor of emotion through the medium of music and its necessary accoutrements for a specific song. This is a positive comment to match the positive emotional conveyance contained in her songs. Positive emotional conveyance does not preclude tears. I guess it could be said she can create happiness even when evoking tears of sadness.

Adele definately gets the upper hand here because she wrote such a beautiful song. I also know its not a competition. But when i hear the original song its sounds to me a litlle closed, which is not the case with Angelina, whose voice is so open. I don't want to compare but I definately felt like Adel's was a cover of the original from Angelina.

Why is it that when I hear Anglina Jordan sing a cover song it sound better than the original. She has a way to use her voice to make the song more intimate and personal. She makes those cover songs and adds her own qualities, warm gentleness and clarity to the words. So nice. I can't wait to hear you review 7th Heaven. It's an original song she wrote and helped her uncle produce. It is really different for anything she has ever done before. Can't wait. Keep up the great work you are doing. Love your channel.

I was watching the original and a commenter mentioned he thought her voice had healing power. I honest to God think that's the case. They should play her in hospitals.

AJ has a voice that stands up on it's own. Her musical pictures just need a subtle back ground to show the song off. So these stripped back arrangements are usually just right for her.

I think you’re approaching a point that many of us Angelina fans actually reached years ago-Angelina is incredibly talented, and when she covers a song from even famous singers like Adele, her version is simply better. I have loved Adele for a long time. She brings power and emotion to those amazing lyrics she writes. But Angelina gives us that emotion and power, and then adds depth, texture, runs, and riffs that no one else can match. And we remember Angelina’s covers because she has the musical instincts, the confidence, and the voice to give us her own interpretations. Also (and you touched on this), with Angelina the connection is personal and immediate. She’s not performing. She’s singing to you. What also makes Angelina so remarkable is that she kills songs in so many genres. I don’t know any singers who give us blues, jazz, soul, pop, ballads, r&b, and even some gospel-type vibes so authentically and effortlessly. To see how wide Angelina’s range is, watch her just-released cover of Billie Jean. Like Bohemian Rhapsody or California Dreamin, Angelina’s arrangement turns the iconic original on its head, giving us a new way to listen and love a song we had thought no one should touch. I’ve never heard anyone this good.

Johnvasi, those genres are all cousins. Although, pop is the easiest to do and the least artistic, technical, and sells the most.
