Everton fan here, 2 things I took away from that match regarding Bournemouth, if youse play like that for the rest of the season it’s looking pretty dire, another thing i couldn’t stop thinking about was how poor Neto was, felt like it gave our players a lift seeing him half hearted punching the ball away and doing silly stuff.

Tell you what though, you are in a heap of trouble if you stick with that goalie. He was spreading panic throughout your defence. I think you (and Everton) will be OK this season, though. For me, the 3 promoted sides are nailed on to go back down.

Everton fan here - Not sure what the issue is with Bournemouth but they deserve some luck. The only major issue I see with your team is your goalkeeper. He appears to be very haphazard, which in turn creates issues for the defence. That being said, the Away Fans were on point and are a true testament to the team. Good luck for the remainder of the season 💙

Great work getting this out so quickly once again Sam. Was a really tough watch at the ground yesterday. Easy to say right now but my god we’re missing Lerma. AI can’t seem to get the best out of Phil Bill either. Next two games now become must win otherwise Iraola will find himself under enormous pressure.

As an Everton fan I think Bournemouth have done remarkably well since they first got promoted to the Premiership in 2014/15 season, it's a hard league to stay in for newly promoted teams. yes they got relegated in 2020 but it didn't take long before they were back again. For a small club ( and I mean that with respect ) they do much better than clubs with much higher revenues. Both Everton and Bournemouth have had a bad start to the season but I think both will survive, hope so anyway! good luck to The Cherries for the rest of the season but not when you play The Toffees lol :)

Toffee here. We'll both be fine. We may have lost to one, drawn with the other, and may well lose to Burnley too. We're Everton after all. We do things like that. But with all respect they are due, all three of the promoted teams are really well below the Premier League bar. I'm convinced Bournemouth will pull it out of the hat and things will look better after Christmas. I hope things go well for both of us before we see you again in March.

I’m genuinely happy staying in the championship until we pull ourselves together - we have the mentality that ‘certain games should be lost because we are playing certain teams’. It’s so defeatist and counterintuitive. Under Eddie I always thought we had a chance of winning, no matter who we played. I completely agree that Travers should still be in goal, I never understood replacing him. This is going to be a long, embarrassing season.

I think getting rid of Gary O' Neil was a big mistake, the Cherries form improved a lot while he was in charge and was surprised they didn't stick with him

If I were a Bournemouth fan I would be very worried after that result....the manager looks confused with his selections and the players look confused by what he is asking them to do.......in all honesty watching the game it looks like the players have lost belief in the manager and unfortunately that will not end well.....its early in the season but in this League you really need to get points on the board or else you will get left behind.....I think your board needs to make a call very soon.

Luton came and sat deep and gave us the ball and asked us to break them down, this Everton team cant break a team down who are compact. Why has bournemouth come here and set up so open with lots of space....seems strange to me?

Not sure how much blame you can put on Neto for that second goal. Think you need to rewatch and realise its not a ball he can catch, has to punch that all day under the pressure he is. Defenders need to do a better job shutting the ball down firstly

Problem is they had loads of shots against Luton and if they’d have put their chances away probably would have won comfortably. People just look at the result without looking at the stats.

The owners are getting what they deserve for sacking O'Neill.

I think the fans suggesting Bournemouth were going to win before the game hadn’t done their homework. Yes Everton had a couple of freak results this season like Luton and Wolves but they were far better teams in those games. The underlying metrics and xG show Everton to be right up there with better xG than Man City. I don’t think Everton will be anywhere near the drop come the end of the season.
