    I have had lazy eye my whole life, it sucked getting my pictures done in elementary school and being made fun of. Now that I'm older it has got a little better but never goes away and you still notice it in pictures. This video is such an inspiration! Thank you for being so transparent and honest. Love you!♥️

    Thank you so much for this video, I’m actually crying as I type this. I have suffered with my lazy eye for 29 years, the bullying, the jokes really hurts but I’m so glad I have come across someone like you who has the same imperfection as me and isn’t scared to show her face. When celebrities abs people do the cross eye pictures abs think it’s funny it’s not.. as there are people who are made that way abs can’t change it so easy. I pray I have the courage abs strength to be as confident as you. Thank you so much xx

    I totally agree. I don’t find those jokes funny because it’s very hurtful towards me but they don’t understand. And I hate when I’m looking at a certain person and they look back or to the side and that’s when I get very uncomfortable and I know they noticed my eyes aren’t looking where they should. I hate my life! I’m thankful I have a little family but even then I’m very insecure 😕

  • @suz567
    @suz5673 жыл бұрын

    I had both eyes done 3 days ago. Perfect result! No double vision at all! I am not having actual pain but very uncomfortable with that gritty feeling in my eyes and light sensitivity. It does hurt a little bit to look to each side so I am avoiding that. I don’t feel like driving. I am 76 years old and I have had strabismus all my life but it was corrected enough with prisms until recently when the prism strength needed was too great so I decided to have the surgery. It was done conventionally, not with adjustable sutures, and to my absolute amazement I did not see double immediately after waking up from anesthesia. It’s very hard for me to adjust to not reaching for glasses immediately and waking up in the morning because if I didn’t have my glasses on before I couldn’t negotiate walking to the bathroom Without bumping into the doorway or just walking with my eyes closed which I could do easily. I’m sure those of you who are reading those who have strabismus understand. Good luck to everyone reading this who is about to have the surgery. Don’t be scared. It was not the terrible experience I thought it might be.

    you should go for it ! I had this surgery last year (July 22 2019) so it’s almost been a year and sometimes i completely forget that i ever had a lazy eye ! the surgery was extremely successful. I was 15 when i had it done and although i was a little bit scared but it wasn’t as bad as i thought it would be. It will be quite painful for maybe a week or two and you’ll have lots of eye exercises to do and eye drops to take but the results are so worth it. My confidence has skyrocketed!!

I’m 26 now and I notice my eye drifting out more. I have control over it and I can always center it, but I would like that to be natural and see with both eyes. And I finally met an awesome physiotherapist who did a more in depth exam and found it was because of my eyes. I had a pre-consultation for the ophthalmologist this week and my actual appointment to decide if I get the surgery is next week. I'm so happy to have finally found a solution! Official Eve I would put a cold compress on my eye and that would help a lot. Also some Tylenol or ibuprofen for pain and I would just rest my eye. I have a lazy eye in my left eye, I’ve had it for 6 years (I’m 17 now) after I fully lost the sight in my left eye in a bad riding accident. It made me lose all self confidence and have really struggled with my mental health as people have made nasty comments about it. So have been contemplating getting this surgery, this video was so helpful, thank you x :)

I'm so happy you are doing well and I hope your eye continues to heal quickly! xo Also, I learned how to hold my focus straight on so that both eyes look even in pics! @@panipoori8961 I had my initial surgery as an infant and had no issues until I was in my early 20's. All the sudden people thought I was staring at their chest! So embarrassing. So I saw an eye doctor and they told me I needed another surgery. I had no idea I would need it more than once. So, I had my second surgery, moved across the country and lived my life. Then, less than 10 years later it started again...people were asking me what I was looking at and thought I was staring at their chest! So then I had another surgery. I'm sorry I don't really have an answer for you. If it helps at all my surgery last summer was honestly hardly painful at all. I took Tylenol when I got home from surgery, and then the next day and that was it. Never needed any prescription pain meds.

    I had a lazy eye when I was 6 years old. I was luckily to young to be like insecure so that was good but I wasnt really scared to whoever is going to get surgry for it just dont think to much about it. It has made my eyes so much better and you will feel so much better after you do the surgry. The only thing that bugs me is I am still wearing glasses because of it and I still have to go to primary children’s every year to get it checked out and I am almost 14 and I have worn glasses all my life. But over all I love that I got the surgry and it made a big difference off of pictures. :)
