“Let me know in the comments if you’d get the same treatment where you’re from” - nope, doesn’t happen much in Scunthorpe! But you’re right - terrific hospitality in turkey. I’ve visited Istanbul 8 or 9 times and I’ve been invited into the homes of some lovely random people who insist on feeding me and serving me lots of tea, even though they might not speak English and I only speak a few words of Turkish. Great people - I always speak very highly of Turkey and the Turks.
