    A turkish village which is actually a greek one. This village is the burth place of one of the most famous greek novelists Dydo Sotiriou. Even the turkish inhabidants are in one way or the other related to Greece.

    We are on our way to Selcuk, from Pamukkale…( I hope you enjoy it) I found your video exploring the map and looking for a day trip. Great video! Lovely village. Do you know if the Dolmus rums from Selcuk to Sirince all day on a schedule?Thank you

    Hi Stephanie. You can catch a dolmus from the parking lot of the bus station pretty much all day. It runs often, probably every 30 minutes for most of the day. These are the white "large" mini-buses and they will be marked Sirince. Hope you have a wonderful time!

    It always amazes me how someone researches the history of the place but is so far from pronouncing the name of the place correctly. It's Sheerinje(Şirince) and it's not Soujouk(Sucuk in Turkish means sausage) it's Selchuk (Selçuk)

    how far is this town from airport

  • @OUTBOUNDWITHRON

    @OUTBOUNDWITHRON

    Ай бұрын

    Hi Jane. The nearest airport would be the city of Izmir. From the airport one can easily board a light rail line for about an hour or hour-and-a-half ride to Selcuk. From the bus station (which is not far from the train station) one can board commuter buses than run every 20 or 30 minutes to Sirince. Selcuk is a worthy destination of its own, filled with great things to see and if you are unware the ancient city of Ephesus is only 2 miles from Selcuk. I stayed in Selcuk and day-tripped to Sirince, which is what most people do. There are plentiful accommodations to choose from in Selcuk. You can easily check Air B&B for Selcuk to see if they are in that market.
