I dont think dagestan will survive tho if they go independent. The idea is good but in reality, we're not sure if they can sustain themselves independently. But with Donbas - Donetsk and Lohansk tho, its different. Because of Ukraine tyranni and shelling/bombing for almost 8years, these two deserves to be saved from the Nazi. Also, Georgia and Chechnya border Dagestan. You probably know what happened in these two. As a Scotsman and a Christian, I say I see more Muslims like Khabib act in a way that we Christians have forgotten. Alhumdulillah they keep their faith. I have many Muslim friends, and trust them like brothers. Khabib is certainly a good man.

The dagestanis want to be part of Russia, they say they wont leave Russia except by their own choosing. Also they receive a lot of aid from Russia in the form of welfare. Also if they did sprite. The chechens would attack them. It's in their best interest to remain in russia

I’ve honestly never worn a flag in my life, and i’m never going to do so. I’ve always felt that those who seek collective pride, are the most insecure human beings ever. Why do you have to cling to someone else’s achievements instead of working on your own ? You didn’t get to choose whichever country you were born in.

Some people have personal as well as collective pride, so not all of the collective pride people are insecure. Some just have more types of pride.

People are proud of their culture, they are proud to form part of the culture. They are also thankful for making it to the places they make it, and wearing a flag is their way of thanking their culture - their people, their customs, their way of living, and so on. I think wearing one's flag is the most beautiful thing a human being can do; don't misunderstand: the flag does not represent a government or a group of individuals, it represents the positivity, the culture and altruism of the people.

@@8Smoker8 I actually think it adds to how an individual is perceived. Like if his type of behavior is out of nowhere, and then you find out his background, and see there are culture patterns that he himself evolved, then it becomes unique, but with roots. If you use it wisely, then flag is ok.

So, those who served in the military to protect you and your family, who have risked their lives to ensure the comforts you enjoy, are the most insecure human beings ever? These people always fly their flags, and others do it as a thank you to all those that have done it before them. What a self-serving individual you are. You represent yourself, not a community. Nations are a collection of individuals with a common culture and theme, that work with each other.

Doesnt matter which region or ethnicity - there are over 200 native ethnicities inside of Russia and many differend regions.
