Crawford show a lot more wrinkles and elements when boxing from long and mid range. While we’ve seen EJ best and most destructive work on the inside. So it’s probably best for EJ to try and walk him down and do damage while Bud is still getting his timing down. Personally If I was Derrick my plan would be to jump on Crawford early then ease off and box behind the jab. If Bud starts slow and EJ jumps on him, Crawford will be looking to get his get back that’s when you stick the jab in his face and prevent Crawford from doing that. In the later rounds I’d tell EJ to turn it to 100 and go after him.

And people underrated just how varied and talented that Errol is. People get so enamored with him just being a pressure fighter who seeks and destroy they miss the nuance. Even people like these pros who should know better. I respect Virgil. But he is talking about how that grinding style breaks down with time. So does the athletic and sharp style. Hell they all break down with time and punishment accumulated over a career. But neither of them are at that point yet. I would love for people to look beyond the surface narratives of whom these fighters are. Especially in Errol’s case. Should have spread the questions around to the others. It seemed awkward with the panel sitting there, not playing a role and looking pensive about what was being said. A wasted opportunity to only focus all the questions at Virgil. These interviews need to be a bit more professional. Don't you ever watch the news and observe panel discussions? Everyone get to make a remark to questions

I felt like i was in an advanced class of boxing taught by a preeminent PHD. What makes this fight for me the most anticipated fight since Tyson/Holyfield is we have TWO DOGS in the ring and i dont see either backing down or changing their style for this fight. As a true boxing fan i really like them both but i just feel the deep rounds of this fight will really test BUD who i feel has never really been tested on this level.

It's not excuses, it's the backdrop to the fight. Spence is known to have struggled with weight- making for a long time, although he claims to be more disciplined these days. The crash IS a big factor. No-one walks away from a crash like that quite the same. He was likely knocked out and definitely lost several teeth and does seem to talk with more of a slurred voice these days. he claims it's his dental bridge, but who knows.
