Bud wasn't the only one vindicated July 29, 2023 from all the negative talk from fans, Kenny Porter was too. NOW people see just how good Kenny's judgement was when he stopped his son's fight against Bud. It wasn't about Shawn still being physically able to continue in that fight, he wasn't mentally able after throwing that tantrum while down on the canvas. Losing focus to that extent against a fighter like Bud could very well lead to serious long term physical damage.

Well Shawn spoke on that, and he was honest. He said his “corner”..meaning father didn’t give him nothing in the corner. Shawn said “I’m doing everything by myself, Bud had a corner.” So yea, I believe Kenny wasn’t really looking to help. Kenny wanted the “my way or no way”..Shawn even said the game-plan was his game-plan, not his fathers. He said he believes Bud was actually expecting what his father was planning, and “I didn’t give him that. I gave Bud a different look.” So I believe it was tension between father and son, and I believe Kenny wanted to be proven right. Shawn finally spoke on this.

@@Ishbikes I watched that whole dialogue. Now from Kenny’s perspective since he hadn’t spoke on it or responded to Shawn I’d speculate that yes Kenny put his foot down and protected Shawn because he knows how dangerous Crawford was. Shawn specifically stated he stopped wanting to do things the way he’d always had done things in camp he didn’t want to go through that hard “grind.” Kenny knew it was Shawn’s last fight and given the way in which Shawn was getting put down Kenny was protecting Shawn’s health because he was taking flush shots to the temple regardless of weather he looked hurt or not they could have delayed effects. It was also rumored Crawford didn’t want to fight Shawn so who knows if he was just taking it easy the first 6 rounds then turning it on to get him out of there. I respect Porter but it’s alot of ways to look at what happen and Porter also say’s himself him and his father haven’t spoke about the issue!!

This was an absolute brilliant interview, Mr. Porter was awsome. I agreed with his breakdown and his assessment of a possible rematch. I honestly, don't want to see a rematch of Crawford and Spence. Spence to me is damaged and needs time to just recoup. I would never want to see Errol get seriously injured, he has a family and he's accomplished lots already. I am sure that Crawford will push for his second PBC fight to be with Jermell Charlo for 154 belts..aside from that, Crawford said it was hard for him to make 147 and so I don't see him fighting again at 147, maybe a tuneup at 154 until Charlo is available. I just hope that Charlo doesn't get damaged by Canelo...Canelo will be hitting Charlo harder than anyone has before, going to his body, hitting his arms and shoulders...a really dangerous fight.

It was one-sided I had Crawford but I never imagined it would be this easy If he fight Crawford again, that may be the end of his career And please stop making excuses of why he lost he lost bc he is an inferior fighter simple as that a one trick pony
