Violating Expectations -when music surprises us!

In this final chapter, let’s look at how music performances can surpass, shock, astonish and eventually delight us and offer a way of mastering our fears. It’s a model to help you:
Eventually your surprise and unhappiness with turbulence can be converted into the delight of mastering your sensations, behaviours, thoughts and feelings.
We’re going to watch a young person reacting to the first time hearing The Everly Brothers sing “Unchained Melody”.

Les-YOU HAVE CHANGED MY LIFE. I first watched the jello videos. Then the video with the elevator. Then the most recent videos you posted the past few months. I was able to fly from Arizona to the Bahamas fear free. It was so FREEING. Being able to fly and be relaxed like a normal person. Not having anxiety during my vacation about having to fly home. There was some turbulance on the way home but I literally danced in my seat and kept repeating "turbulance is uncomfortable, not dangerous". I am so glad I found your videos. Thank you!

Thanks for this, Les! Not only have I watched that very Righteous Brothers reaction video (and many more!) but I've got a long flight from the US east coast to Paris in early Jan, so it's a timely reminder for me! Fingers crossed no crippling anxiety hahaha

I accidentally cam across this genre of videos and fell down a hole, not coming up for air for a few hours! The featured video is one of the best as it really captures the essence of a reaction video, and encompasses a lot of the ideas I wanted to bring to my KZread audience. Enjoy your trip to the City of Lights!

@@lesposen Oui, we shall! And I know what you mean, I fall into that same rabbit hole every time I watch a music reaction video. Because you know how they're about to feel when it gets to that one part of the song you love, too! Hey... Maybe there's a connection with those of us who have a fear of flying! 😂

@@lesposen Well, made it! Accident free, of course, though I did have to resort to anxiety meds when I thought I had an attack before the flight. Turns out my blood pressure spiked so I didn't even need them. My goal is now to do the return flight in a few weeks med-free! Thanks again, Les! Your videos are still so well appreciated by many 👍🏻
