Vintage Electric Scrambler Review - $7k
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
The Vintage Electric Scrambler is a motorcycle-inspired electric bike with two drive modes, 20 mph stock and optional 36 mph "Race Mode" for use on private property or off-highway vehicle (OHV) trails, one frame size and color. Powerful gearless hub motor is durable and near-silent, pure sine wave controller delivers fluid power without buzzing and a special regen button allows you to re-capture energy when stopping. Oversized inverted suspension with 20 mm thru-axle, powerful hydraulic disc brakes with 203 mm front rotor, premium Brooks leather saddle and grips, integrated LED lights, variable speed trigger throttle. Priced at ~$7k this is an expensive e-bikes, fairly heavy at ~81 lbs, the battery isn't easily removable so charging may be less convenient, very limited display readouts, throttle is hot when the battery is turned on, headlight is difficult to reach to turn on.

Really like their product and the whole concept. The price doesn’t bother me knowing what goes into the manufacturing process. Been watching them for years. Just dont have the funds for that but if I did I’d be all over it. People shouldn’t focus so much on the markup the people building these are skilled and put their heart and soul into these. They deserve to be paid well for their work this isn’t some slapped together assembly line product
If I was doing a commuter it would definitely be this bike. Stunning machine.
very nice detailed review! congratulations!
Classy handsome machine, gotta love those gold fork tubes.
7K USD when production cost is about 1,5-1,7K USD. Its probably the biggest overprices ebike on the market :D Cheap chinesse indicator of battery which costs 2 USD on Aliexpress.. Thats crazy cost cutting. People should know also that model of front suspension has more than 6 years. Vitage electric just make them new life ;) but good looking with that bike.

benzoesan sodu Custom built costs , I can assure you it’s worth the money going 55mph on one of these bikes feels super stable regen brakes with hydro discs you can stop 🛑 too ... I started with a kit too as you can see by my pic , but my tracker / roadster is just awesome I’ve no regrets what so ever. In fact I now own two a limited Tracker and this years Roadster 0r Buddha as I call it because I added every option to it so it’s. ” one with everything “ Oh and the after sales service is the best I’ve ever encountered they made me a race mode key and cut a second ignition key for free and sent it over to me here in England for no cost !!! Yes the price isn’t cheap but who wants a cheap n nasty bike that falls apart NOT ME !
Nice vid!
Bought one used it is fun as hell
Nice bike! And what a great deal at $6,999.99! Definitely 4 times better than anything from RadRover or Juiced. Oh yeah, if you want to buy a bridge ...
I want one, but I'd only be willing to spend maybe $3k on something like that. It's beautiful, but I can get a nice motorcycle for that price.

Hear that all the time....try taking that motorcycle on the hundreds of miles of BLM land like Fort Ord Trails. paved bike paths in hundreds of cities throughout the country...the motorcycle comparo for price just does not hold water. Now having a motorcycle AND this ? Now you have something !
Dope!!!
most likely you have to have a lic of some kind just to drive this from state to state ????? or on the side of the highways right ???
hi Friend please show us video of Demo Of Regenerative Braking System. like lift the bike and show how fast regen braking work?
Just had a thought about how e-cyclists or cyclists rarely have headlights on during the day - which seems odd given how motorcycles are req'd to use headlights during daytime. Definitely makes one more visible. Cool company - 'VintageE' seems to have pursued a profitable niche--Not surprised Jay Leno featured them. (I'd much rather have a removable battery. )

Yeah, I think Europe now has some laws about brighter headlights and always-on if it's a speed pedelec. I heard about this in a recent interview with a Stromer rep at Interbike: kzread.info/dash/bejne/pop4lKqrpZuyfrA.html

daytime running lights can actually make you harder to see in certain circumstance...
A $9 LED headlamp, really? For that price I'd expect the best!

yup. I don't want to feel like a cheap ass poor.
7K for limited range and speed, when I can get a TW200 for a starting MSRP for 5k, unless electric is your priority and you like the styling enough to pay 2-3 times as much as other e-bikes this would be a hard sell. Its even approaching the price point of some electric motorcycles.
I definitely appreciate the engineering and aesthetic but for 7k you could build one hell of a Ebike yourself! This bike wouldn't make it down a mountain but for even half that 3.5k you'd have a powerful rock hopper.
if you want see the bike on road , please go to min 12:35 thanks
$7K is a really nice motorcycle With $7K worth of parts and material
Makes me appreciate my $1500 Radrover.
Good Bike but def they make 3x what they spent to make it. Taxing!
I would consider this a mopped with pedals rather than an electric bikes
Way over priced but very nice looking bike. I know bikes very well and the cost of parts, and the most I would be willing to pay for it would be around £3000. I don't know what that equates to in US dollars but I am pretty sure it will be a lot less than $7000. I guess though, that there are rich people out there who would throw that sort of money at something a little bit unique.
I like the simplicity of no gears and no rear suspension....just go....
7K USD? CONVERTED TO CAD DOLLARS! OUCH!!!
Why is it your saying &6000 an I'm seeing the same model online for $99 same Specs Everything?
7k? Just get a vespa and call it a day.
Reach sub 1000 bucks and tada
way 2 much for an e bike and no mid drive motor!? I hope this bike comes with a lifetime warranty and free labor/part replacement!!! this guy is charging way too much his clientele must be upper middle class!!!

What Idea ?
Waay overpriced, maybe 4.5K tops.
Too expensive! I built mine for under $ 1000 very similar, 52 volt battery, 1500 watt . 45 miles per hour! Bike is a micargi 24 inch beach cruiser!!
I find myself saying just ride it ffs...
The Price and the Names of those Bikes are a Joke (Cafe ,Tracker etc.. ) do they have any idea what they talking about it seams everything Hipster related with wheels on, is now Days a Cafe or Tracker thing what a Joke . Building Cafe Bikes as a Hobby let me throw up not even mention the Price of that sh..... Guys you should shame yourself and Hopefully you never meet a real Cafe Racer Guy in Person and tell him that you have a Cafe Bike created . .
